My wife and I traveled with a tour group of 44 for 2 weeks in Istanbul, 4 of whom were friends.
Cramped room; had trouble opening 3 suitcases at once. Hot and a/c not working.
Dinner was so-so, breakfast the same. Items were the same.
One PC for Internet access.
It is near sea front.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel

Stayed at as part of Gate 1 (Virgin Vacations) 13 Turkish Treasures tour.

Nice views from the clean, spacious and modern room we had on 7th floor. Great 360 views of Izmir and the Aegean Sea from the hotel rooftop terrace. Our stay included a wonderful breakfast and dinner with fresh tasting food. Located a good 15 mins walk to the sea; wish we were closer. A lot of affordable and wide varieties of places to eat are within walking distance. A grocery store (Kipa) is located across the street and a Doviz is around the corner. Look for the Hilton Hotel to find your way back to the Kaya Prestige. Izmir is a city with lots of young people that give the place a fun vibe. However, the pollution is horrible. There is a constant smell of burning garbage and trash in the bay and waterways. The pollution makes for great sunsets though! Warning: If you are asthmatic come prepared!!! Also, we had a smoke-free room yet the towels reeked of smoke.

This hotel is in a good location with many shops and restaurants within walking distance and also within walking distance of Konak Pier and a local bazaar. The rooms are small with not much room to walk between the bed and the desk. The bathroom is small and difficult to maneuver in. The air conditioning worked very well unlike other travelers had reported. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was included in the room price and was good, but very basic. For the price, there are other hotels in the area which may be better.

This Hotel is well located in the center of Izmir, just 100m from the sea front. Suitable for short business stays, or just for 1 on your way to Efesus. Breakfast is quite basic. Rooms are correct and have free Wifi. Rates are according to what you get.

With so many other, higher ranked hotels on the list, I would definitely recommend choosing one of those. This hotel was not comfortable. Rooms were small, beds hard, and everything very dated. During our two night stay, the air conditioning did not work and it was over 90 degrees. We changed rooms twice and while the air was cooler (about 80) in the final room, it was less than comfortable. The hotel sent "technicians" to work the problem but these gentlemen didn't seem to do anything more than push a few buttons. Nothing changed but they kept telling us the air was working fine.

Room Tip: no one in our group of 40 had a comfortable room. Not sure if there are better rooms to be had.
