Wife and stayed here for a night on the way to Antalya from Goreme so that we could visit the Mellana Museum. The hotel was near the museum but it was also near a roundabout. The room had seen its better days and the decor was very dated and needs a good refurb. The room was dark with dark brown wall paper and the smell of smoke was very evident. The bar near the reception area wasn't opened for business anymore and looked very run down. The bathroom was ok'ish but could do with some modern improvements. Air condition wasn't operating when we were there end of April and we had to remove the quilt and slept with just the cover as it was too warm otherwise. We didn't want to open the window as it was noisy outside. breakfast at to top floor/terrace was ok'ish but not great.

We have noticed that they didn't shut the door at the lobby entrance and there were many flies inside the hotel. Even with the closeness to Mevlana considered, I won't recommend this hotel.

like all the other reviews - yes - it is a perfect location - but - yes - smoke in some rooms but it was not so bad in ours. One or two others in the group had a smoke issue but for one night it was OK. Location was perfect, wi-fi was great, breakfast was fine, bed was perfect and had a great sleep, shower was hot - and all in all - I would stay here again for one night. It is OK for a stop over. Konya is not a pretty town but the museum is great and it is a good stop on the way to Antalya.

The hotel is located just across the street from the Mevlani Museum so it is fantastic for walking to the top site in town. But our room smelled of smoke, and after checking out three rooms we decided they all did. We chose this place to take advantage of the spa but it was not functional. Pretty disappointed.

The Rumi advertises non-smoking rooms but every room wreaks of smoke (we tried a few). They advertise a free sauna - sorry, it might be free but it doesn't work! Everything is old, staff are OK but nothing special and not really helpful. Overall, this hotel is overpriced for the room and service. Rooms are small, have dark decor. They are a block from the museum in the center of town but that is all that is good about them. They need a serious overhaul. Don't stay here!

From the Manager Ehmet, and Zefer at reception the stay of 3 nights made us feel we were part of the family. Breakfast fit for a Sultan. Convenient location with parking lot next door. Spotlessly clean.
