“Flamingo freesia 40”
Reviewed 7 January 2018 for a stay in July 2017

Booked last minute what a lovely surprise to get a two bedroom apartment with all mod cons , lovely roof terrace with 360 views of lakes , mountains , sea . Balcony overlooking pool was a bonus with local bar and restaurant five minutes walk away . Supermarket had everything you need , local regular bus service to bodrum and surrounding areas .If you want a relaxing break this is the place to come. We loved it so much going back in May 2018.

“Great location for a relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 7 August 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This apartment is lovely for those who want a relaxing holiday. For families the pool outside is very handy for the kids to play in. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The owner was so helpful with information about the place before hand and also arranged our airport pickup too. The apartment was very well equipped with everything you could think of. Very handy to have beach towels too. The only problem we found was that there weren’t many places nearby to eat at. However, we did find that all places will come and pick you up for free if you messaged them. I wouldn’t recommend the ocean view much for meals as we thought the service and food quality wasn’t as good as other places. Plus it was pricey for meals there especially if there is a performer – as there is a hidden charge of 20l each on top of the bill which they never told us about!
There is a well stocked cheap ‘Migros’ supermarket only a 10 mins walk away and there is a very handy shopping trolley in the apartment to carry it all back in. There is also a daily market opposite the supermarket selling fish, fruit veg and some small souvenirs which is extremely cheap.
We found the best place to eat was Sunset Basko in a village nearby. You can message them on FB for them to come and pick you up from outside the gate. We also found you can use the ocean view Wi-Fi if you go out by the pool shower or by the wall!

For getting around there is a dolmus stop just outside the main back gate and we also got the free shuttle bus to the Royal Heights beach one day too. The pool there was amazing and the food was nice too, and not too expensive either. Kids loved the pontoon on the beach, although if the sea is choppy it can be a bit of a ride to walk down the ramp.

Some people have said the hills were a problem in Flamingo. We only found the walk to Flamingo main pool a problem and I wouldn’t bother going there as the food and cleanliness of toilets were appalling we managed to walk to turquoise a few times and it is uphill coming back but not too bad. We made use of free shuttle buses to the beach to get around if we needed.

Another great thing about the place is there is a lovely breeze most days which really makes a difference in hot weather.

We managed without a car for the first week, but got one for 2 days on the second week to explore as it’s so cheap. I advise you hire one on arrival at the airport to save the airport taxi too for a couple of days. We found the roads easy to drive on and it was handy to explore the region.

We recommend a boat trip, the one that ocean view book for you is very good. Best food we had ever had on a boat trip and free Turkish tea too.

Overall the apartment is lovely and in a great situation for everything, beach, supermarket, buses nearby.

Booking with the owner Jim was simple and easy, he even arranged our transfers. We had a few problems on arrival but after a quick email to Jim he had them sorted within 24 hours, so 10/10 for a quick response and excellent service.
The apartment is modern and very well equipped, it is situated on a nice spot within the complex with lovely views out to sea and looking down onto the swimming pool. The area is quite but Bodrum is only a bus ride away, a car is probably a must. Weather excellent, with a nice breeze day and night, so a very relaxing fortnight spent sunbathing and chilling by the pool.

“Special birthday girls getaway”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The holiday was very reasonably priced and easy to book. The location was quiet as it was out of season but we still had a great time. The villa had everything we needed and was very well kept and clean with a good size pool.

“Relaxing well appointed Appartment in a lovely Resort”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Julie and I did not know what to expect, however, we were not disappointed with our stay. Freesia 40 was a relaxing well appointed place to stay and with the sun, good value for money and the people it was an excellent week.
The owner has a comprehensive guide of the place, resort and local amenities to help you make the most of your stay.
We would most definitely return to this part of the world and to Freesia 40.

“Great apartment Great Holiday”
Reviewed 19 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Great apartment clean and well appointed.Superb views across the sea from the roof terrace. Lots of swimming pools to choose from and a good clubhouse.
Free bus shuttle around complex and other sites so plenty of variety. Good local bus service to Bodrum and villages. Some local restaurants will arrange to pick up and bring home if you have no car.
Thoroughly enjoyable holiday
