We have just spent 8 days at this magnificent hotel.. Hotel rooms 5 star. Entertainment every night and sailing, snorkeling and wind surfing all free of charge. The GO's are all very helpful and friendly. Lorna who sings at the bar is fantastic. Food quality and variety is 5 star. The weather while we were there was a bonus - 8 days of sunshine without a single cloud in the sky. We will certainly return again

Room Tip: We did not choose the most expensive room - in fact we took the basic room which was spotlessly clea...

This was the second time we were there this summer and it was once again an exceptional experience in every aspect! The location is wonderful, food is more than satisfactory and the GO team that one of the best we have encountered so far! What we enjoyed most was sailing -with the team being helpful & friendly all the time and really fun to be around..!!- and doing archery with Saverio who is also a great musician that played the guitar several evenings during our stay..All the entertainment was very well organized creating an energetic and familiar Club Med atmosphere, special thanks to Marco, Côme and Simon there, and not to forget the land sports activities offered throughout the day that one finds himself participating in almost every time he's invited to do so... It was overall a very pleasant stay (we were lucky to be there on August 15th during which there was a day-long party and an additional one at the beach at night) and we would very much like to be there for longer indeed!

Two years since first finding Club Med Bodrum and what a great idea to return in 2013. Everything just so and in its place, cleanest and tidiest village outside of the Truman Show (worth watching if you don't get the film reference). This year the GOs were outstanding, friendly, nothing too much trouble and we have a particular shout-out list in no particular order for the great work put in by; Come, Ali, Geneveve, Saverio, Mami, Damian, Christophe, the sailing team safety boat guys, Lorna, our Turkish friends at the pool, bar staff in general, buggy drivers and not forgetting the army of cleaners gardeners and other backroom staff.
Five stars are not easily earned, but very well deserved in this case.
Some feedback and tips:
Smoking around the pool bar does need to be looked at - we know French people value this freedom but the heavy duty cigarettes and cigars are very intrusive and certainly set a bad example. This issue will cause dissatisfaction.
Daily free boat trips are a great bonus and rightly very popular. Pressure on numbers means a little more guidance / thought on booking rules at peak times.
Perfect cleaning of the beach (and gardens) before the start of each day is simply excellent.
Shows could be refreshed, but energy generally high - keep up the good work.
Outside show acts certainly a wise spend of entertainment budget.
Loved 'White Night' dining around the pool very special plus moving nightclub to the beach - huge logistical effort, much appreciated.
Shop: reasonable to expect a simple range of basic toiletries (vs none). Surprised to find only suncream and at highly inflated prices.

So long but be back soon....

We are just back after a week's holiday in Bodrum Palmiye. This is not our first Club Med holiday and we specifically chose this Club because of the Windsurfing.

The accommodation, food and GO's were great, especially Lorna, who sings at the bar.Well worth staying up for! Vincent, the chef de village, and Marco worked very hard to ensure that everyone enjoyed the experience. Look out for Marco's dresses and heels! Good job by the costume designer.

The location of the club is in a small cove part of which is owned by Club Med. The Club Med part is man-made with sand brought in. This is fine but if you are expecting to have long walks along the water edge, forget it. The rest of the small cove is stony and not very pleasant to walk

Windsurfing classes were badly organised. Booking for the day began at 9.45 on the beach. One had to be there at 9.30 to be sure of getting one of the six places on offer. So you either had to wolf down your breakfast or settle for breakfast in the bar afterwards. Beginners classes began at 10.30, Intermediate began at 11.30 and Advanced at 14.00. If it was calm at 10.30, 11.30 they cancelled the classes. No chance of postponing them until 16.00 or 17.00 when the wind picked up. Quite often the wind picked up in the late afternoon but as the French say "Tant Pis"!!! In addition, the windsurfing was very focused to the Advanced windsurfer.

We spent 9 days at Club Med in June/July 2013, for my Dad's 60th. Our party of 12 comprised of 4 Adults in the 50's/60's and 8 of us in our 20's! We have been to other Club Meds before (Thailand, Mauritius, Bali) so we new what to expect!

Highlights of Bodrum included:
1. The beach is fantastic, plenty of loungers, great bars and perfect to chill out!
2. Mami, Ugur (young guy) Lorna, Maria and Geneveve - they were fantastic! The resort is very French however these individuals made our stay fantastic! Mami and Ugur kept our glasses full which enabled us to party all day every day! Geneveve was so much fun and joined us every night at the club (disco at the resort). Lorna is a great lounge singer and kept the tempo going! Without you guys, our trip would not have been as great - thank you!
3. The general facilities are great, what one would expect!
4. The ala carte restaurant is scenically stunning but the food is average. Food at the normal restaurant is good, but not to the standard of the other Club Meds we have been to.
5. Raki - definitely got the party going every night! Don't add water, have it straight, Mami knows!

General attractions of Bodrum

1. Halikarnis is a must! It is very expensive but there is nothing like it!
2. Boat trips - we took a day trip to 5 places and it was good fun! Very cheap excursion.
3. Shopping - the Tuesday market is awesome! Haggle haggle haggle! Don't be scared to walk away. Check every item you buy, we got wrong sizes, two different shoes and items with small holes cause we didn't check! 95% of our stuff is excellent!

We also stayed in Kos for 5 nights, it's a must do!so easy to get there and such a great place! Hire buggies and drive around the Island! Paradise beach is spectacular! It's a must do!

My husband and I stayed 10 days in June, we were looking for a relaxing no hassle holiday after a hectic week in Istanbul. We got what we wanted and more at Clubmed Bodrum.
We had a rocky start when our pick up did not arrive at the airport, we waited an hour before phoning the resort. It turns out our pickup was waiting at international and not domestic arrivals...honest mistake. When we arrived at the resort we were late for lunch and everything was being packed up. We were ushered to a table on the terrace and the staff proceeded to lay out our own private feast on our table, a small thing but it was so thoughtful and we were hooked.

Our room was in block Z, at our request we wanted a room away from the action and noise and we liked the walk. Our room was spacious modern and had a fantastic walk in shower. We chose a sea facing club room. We couldn't see the sea just lots of pine trees but the room was perfect for us.

Archery was next door to our block, Servio was very helpful and entertaining. Tournaments are held almost every afternoon with various challenges. My husband loved this and enjoyed the inter country competition. I went on the snorkel boat everyday (except Sunday when most of the activities are not available) there are two trips at 10 and 2 pm. Al, Selina and captain Mehmet take you out to various coves depending on weather conditions. This was a wonderful way to explore the rugged coastline and see the beautiful boats that cruise around the area. Find out when they go to a cove called "swimming pool"- not to be missed. There are little to no fish on the 'snorkel' trip but go and enjoy a swim in a beautiful cove. The Hamam is a wonderful addition, we would end our day there with some apple tea and a nap in the quiet area.

We booked with Clubmec Discovery for a day excursion to Ephesus. Although this was a long day it was very interesting and we enjoyed it very much. The guide provided was french speaking (I think he was resident in the resort) so we were given audio guides at Ephesus which I enjoyed since we were left to our own devices and just had to stay near to our group. My only problem with the guide was that he spoke only in French knowing that we could not understand any French. Only after I complained to him did he make an effort to repeat the essentials in English ie were the bathrooms were, how long a stop was going to be etc. I expect more from a guide provided by Clubmed. We wanted to go to Pamukalle but there were not enough people to go on the excursion which was disappointing. We took the minivan/bus into Bodrum. The stop is just outside the entrance to the left and the minivans are clearly marked Clubmed, it costs 5 lira one way and run every half hour until 2 am, the trip into town takes 20 minutes. The town is picturesque and has loads of shopping. We went to St Peters Castle and did some shopping in town. A Sunday is a good day to do this as most of the regular activities in the resort are suspended and everything is open in town on a Sunday.

I have to compliment the resort on the both restaurants. The food was excellent, the staff was excellent. We enjoyed the chefs who were full of fun. The waitors were all excellent. We loved the little touches like the barbecue at the beach bar, the pancakes at tea time, the ice cream bar with take away tubs that we would take down to the beach after lunch. We loved Turkey night when they served Turkish dishes, it was deeeelicious. There was a lot of fresh fish and the produce was all delicious. The white night at the pool was very special when the whole restaurant is relocated around the pool area. A lot of work goes into this by the staff and it was much appreciated.

On the whole this was a lovely resort, the sports, staff, food were excellent. It is the first Clubmed I have been to who outsourced some of the evening entertainment and the was also excellent. The local staff shows were painful to watch. This resort attracts a much older crowd and the lack of a kids club made for a nice relaxing fairly quiet holiday.

I am taking off a star for the smoking in this resort. The French and Clubmed staff smoke EVERYWHERE! As a non smoker it was very frustrating and we would play musical chairs on the beach, restaurant, beach bar, pool etc.. the only refuge was the Zen lounge. I feel that Clubmed should look at their smoking policy / enforcement especially in line with legislation all over the world, it seems out of line with a company that focuses so much on health and fitness and environment.
