We planned to end our recent busy trip around Turkey with 6 relaxing days at Club Med. After a slightly patchy start it turned out to be a great stay overall. This was our fourth stay at a Club Med and, unlike some of the other recent reviews, this was not the best we have experienced - which is why we couldn't quite rate it as a five. The food was good but could have been more varied in the buffet restaurant - the speciality restaurant was a better option for us when available as it was more relaxed and food well presented. Most of the GOs and service staff made an effort to make the stay fun and pleasant and some were really excellent like Saverio in archery and Yurder and his colleagues at the speciality restaurant. However there were some others who were less helpful. This resort is definitely more geared to French guests than the other Club Meds we have visited. Overall the stunning position and weather, great views, good rooms, mostly good service and very nice relaxing beach area made this a very pleasant stay.

The resort is absolutely stunning with a beautiful private beach. The weather was unbelievable every day we were there with a nice cool breeze to keep you from getting too hot. As in all club meds, the food was delicious and the entertainment was definitely up to scratch. This Club Med had a very relaxed vibe to it - making it very easy to relax, unwind and have lots of fun in the evening. My sister and I are big fans of tennis, and the two tennis G.O.s Laurann and Pierre were very sweet, accommodating and always on hand at the tennis courts for whenever we fancied a hit. We had a great week there and would definitely go back.

the Club is beautiful, great location, very well organized.
The food is divine, the house wine excellent and it has a wonderful staff.
Raphi, Thierry and all the GO were just fantastic, hard workers and smiling and caring. Great shows, every night was such a pleasure to watch the GO dancing and singing so well.
Unforgettable holiday!

Room Tip: Rooms sea view are better

We stayed at Club Med Bodrum for 2 weeks at the beginning of July. It is just absolutely fantastic in every way! Vincent, the Chef De Village goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels special and is cared for and in fact the whole GO team were just lovely and brilliant.

We have stayed at 8 various Club Meds, including their 5 trident La Plantation d'Albion, and Gregolimano last year (which we also really, really loved!) but this one is the best of all!

The village itself is in a stunning location on the edge of a cliff top, in fact the speciality restaurant is set into the cliff looking down onto the sea which is amazing. The rooms are beautifully but simply decorated in typical Club Med style. The village is awash with flowers and beautifully landscaped (I think it has recently been renovated and it shows). The lift to the beach takes a minute and is no problem at all and the beach itself is lovely. Mostly sand with a layer of pebbles as you get into the sea but it wasn't a problem. The sea itself is crystal clear and warm once you are in! In fact we saw guys cleaning the sea!! Literally with large fishing nets like you would a swimming pool, to keep it pristine!! We sunbathed on the wooden pontoons in the sea which was fab and there is a lovely little bar/cafe on the beach where you can get coffees/drinks all day. The frozen coffees are to die for!

We went out on the snorkel trip boat ride most days, to snorkel or just to chill out and sunbathe, It leaves at I think 11am and 2.30pm or around about these times most days. Ali the snorkel chef was a great character and the nicest guy you could ever meet!! He made it so much fun and is truly a credit to Club Med!

My husband went sailing most days and learnt so much, and again had loads of fun. The sailing team were also top notch and lovely! No problems that are French is not great - almost everyone speaks English or will find someone who will for you. My husband loved Geneivieve and the Italian sailing GO's.

The food at this Club Med is in another class altogether!! This is definitely the Club Med to go to if you are a foodie. It is absolutely incredible!! The best food ever at any Club Med. Amazing choice and 5 star standard every day and night. The staff in the restaurants are lovely too especially Yasin and Yurder who ALWAYS have a smile on their faces and time to ask how you are doing!

The shows were also good, it was nice to see some outside acts rather than just the GO's every night. A few great circus acts made it a bit different from the norm.

The pool area and dining area are lovely. A special evening is the 'white' gala evening with the tables laid out around the pool. It looked stunning and the fireworks and entertainment were fab! The beach party is also fab - so nice to dance by the sea and chill out on the beach on the sunlougers in the night! Luckily the weather was stunning - about 32 - 34 degrees every day and not one cloud in two weeks. Also no wasp or fly problem here like there is at Grego (at least not in early July when we were there).

Lorna the singer was lovely, had a great voice and kept everyone entertained! They do crazy signs here but it is a bit more laid back and grown up I think than other club meds and its not done as much as at other clubs we have been to. Bodrum didn't have quite as much atmosphere or was as 'crazy fun' as Grego but attracts I think a slightly older, more upmarket clientele (in my opinion). Not old - ages were 20's, 30's. 40's and 50's I would say.

Some tips - take lots of white clothes, they are obsessed with 'white nights' White and Black, White and Blue, White on its own!! Dont bother with the local market excursion, (cant remember the name of the place but it was horrible!! Really horrible!). I found the bed to be very hard and hurt my back and although it took me a couple of visits to reception to sort out they did put some sort of soft topper on the bed. I arranged a private dinner on the beach for my husbands birthday, just the two of us. It was expensive but really, really special and done beautifully with lovely lobster and in a stunning setting.

This really is the perfect Club Med if you lead a busy life and want to totally chill out in a beautiful setting with amazing food and do some sailing, windsurfing etc (if you can drag yourself away from the pool or beach or pontoon) which lovely friendly staff who are down to earth and charming.

I would stay here again rather than Grego because of the ease of getting here (Grego is a nightmare journey from London ) the wasps at Grego, and this Club Med just has it all for us! All we missed that Grego had above Bodrum was a livelier atmosphere and waterskiing but if that isn't a necessity then Bodrum definitely has the edge. In fact we have already booked for next July and absolutely cant wait! A very classy, beautiful and special Club Med run by a great GO chef and team x

We have just spent 8 days at this magnificent hotel.. Hotel rooms 5 star. Entertainment every night and sailing, snorkeling and wind surfing all free of charge. The GO's are all very helpful and friendly. Lorna who sings at the bar is fantastic. Food quality and variety is 5 star. The weather while we were there was a bonus - 8 days of sunshine without a single cloud in the sky. We will certainly return again

Room Tip: We did not choose the most expensive room - in fact we took the basic room which was spotlessly clea...

This was the second time we were there this summer and it was once again an exceptional experience in every aspect! The location is wonderful, food is more than satisfactory and the GO team that one of the best we have encountered so far! What we enjoyed most was sailing -with the team being helpful & friendly all the time and really fun to be around..!!- and doing archery with Saverio who is also a great musician that played the guitar several evenings during our stay..All the entertainment was very well organized creating an energetic and familiar Club Med atmosphere, special thanks to Marco, Côme and Simon there, and not to forget the land sports activities offered throughout the day that one finds himself participating in almost every time he's invited to do so... It was overall a very pleasant stay (we were lucky to be there on August 15th during which there was a day-long party and an additional one at the beach at night) and we would very much like to be there for longer indeed!

Two years since first finding Club Med Bodrum and what a great idea to return in 2013. Everything just so and in its place, cleanest and tidiest village outside of the Truman Show (worth watching if you don't get the film reference). This year the GOs were outstanding, friendly, nothing too much trouble and we have a particular shout-out list in no particular order for the great work put in by; Come, Ali, Geneveve, Saverio, Mami, Damian, Christophe, the sailing team safety boat guys, Lorna, our Turkish friends at the pool, bar staff in general, buggy drivers and not forgetting the army of cleaners gardeners and other backroom staff.
Five stars are not easily earned, but very well deserved in this case.
Some feedback and tips:
Smoking around the pool bar does need to be looked at - we know French people value this freedom but the heavy duty cigarettes and cigars are very intrusive and certainly set a bad example. This issue will cause dissatisfaction.
Daily free boat trips are a great bonus and rightly very popular. Pressure on numbers means a little more guidance / thought on booking rules at peak times.
Perfect cleaning of the beach (and gardens) before the start of each day is simply excellent.
Shows could be refreshed, but energy generally high - keep up the good work.
Outside show acts certainly a wise spend of entertainment budget.
Loved 'White Night' dining around the pool very special plus moving nightclub to the beach - huge logistical effort, much appreciated.
Shop: reasonable to expect a simple range of basic toiletries (vs none). Surprised to find only suncream and at highly inflated prices.

So long but be back soon....
