“Very Unique”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013 via mobile

This place should be called a resort rather than a lodge. I opted Yonca lodge for the last day stay of my Turkey trip. It is a well maintained and very beautiful property. The manager Daniella was extremely helpful. The highlight if this place is definitely the beach side restaurant and sun bath area. My 5 year old had a blast with all the swings and toys. It was extremely relaxing that I guess we spent more time here than in the room. The view of hens roaming on the beach was a big surprise. Food was very tasty. I ordered fish and calamari which turned out to be the best I ever had on Turkey. It was all local fish, chicken and produce. Rooms are considerably spacious and very clean. The Eco shampoo was my personal favorite. Highly Recommend this place.

We stayed for 5 nights at Yonca Lodge with our 15 year old son in a 1st floor family room. Everything exceeded my expectations - the grounds were lush and green with grapevines, pomegranate, orange and olive trees and animals running around. A river flows with ducks and turtles through the garden and end up at the sea. The restaurant is on the beach - think sand between your toes and breakfast and dinner are served there by the wonderfully welcoming and friendly staff. All the food is either grown on the premises or at one of the nearby farms. It is 'eco-lodge' style. The atmosphere is very calm and it is an oasis of tranquillity after the noisy and buy neighbouring tourist resorts of Fethiye and Oludeniz beach. Finally the internet is so strong that you can login from any point within the hotel grounds - fantastic - would highly recommend.

Room Tip: The single storey villa style rooms closest to the beach have the best view and biggest verandahs bu...

Yonca Lodge is a great place! The rooms are clean and cozy, the property is lovely and natural and the service is excellent. Daniela is a very attentive and kind manager and she could not have been more welcoming or helpful. She is a huge asset to Yonca Lodge and they are lucky to have her.

The food is excellent and the ability to pick fruit right off the trees is very charming. Their organic garden produces some delicious veg.

The beach itself is fine, but not the crystal blue water of Oludeniz. Fortunately Oludeniz is just a short dolmus ride away. I much preferred the serenity of Yonca Lodge to the touristy vibe of Oludeniz, which seems to be catered exclusively to British tourists.

If you are looking for a quiet place to rest and enjoy some sun, sand, and a pristine pool along with some delicious homemade organic Turkish fare, Yonca Lodge is the place.

We chose Yonca Lodge for our first trip to Turkey after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. It exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent. The owners & staff were so friendly and helpful. Our top floor room had all we needed for our stay. The gardens are inspiring, with fruit trees, herbs and vegetables, and free range poultry. There is also a lake with ducks, moorhens, fish, frogs and turtles. We ate our meals al fresco by the beach or in the restaurant with views out to sea and a woodburner for cooler evenings. The food was so tasty, with herbs picked fresh from the garden and home-made juices and preserves. We will definitely stay at Yonca Lodge again next time we visit this area.

One of the most pleasant and peaceful places we've ever been. Great service, organic and delicious food and beautifully arranged rooms. We stayed 10 days in April 2013 and every wish of ours was completely fulfilled. Highly recommend it!

Yonca Lodge - Just returned from 10 days holiday there - what a relaxing and restful place to spend some time in!!! Situated half an hour outside Fethiye (by dolmus) and about three quarters of an hour from Dalaman airport.
First the bad bit - the property is situated between 2 big hotels and you will get some noise in the evenings when they have shows or discos, but we found that with the windows and doors shut, and the aircon on, it was usually very muted, only really noticeable if you go out on the balcony.
The property consists of 2 blocks with 6 rooms in each (over 3 floors), and a single story bungalow overlooking the beach/pool with 2 rooms. The older block of 6 rooms is finished in traditional dark stained pine and tiled floors (rooms 101,102,111,112,121,122) but the newer block of 6 has plain stripped pine finish with wooden floors (rooms 103, 104, 113,114, 123,124) which gives a lighter and roomier feel. The beach view rooms (201,202) look to be slightly larger and I was told that they had a bath but I didn't see inside them.
Our penthouse room, 122, was on the 3rd floor in the roof of the first block and the balcony view was inland over the gardens and mountains. In my opinion the best penthouse room is 123 as it is in the newer block, and you have a sea view.
As you enter Yonca lodge you see the gardens spreading out in front of you, with chickens, ducks and geese wandering freely over the lawns and gardens. A small streams borders you on the right populated with Turtles, Kingfishers, Frogs and various Fish. Carry on past the pool and you see the beach with it's views to the Islands in Fethiye bay. On your right is the beach restaurant, with all the tables dotted over the sand under the trees. On the sandy beach are padded sunbeds, hammocks and raised shaded platforms with cushions. The sea is bordered by large pebbles but sandy after 1m into the sea. Beach towels are provided free.
Breakfast is typically Turkish with fruit, eggs, cheeses, tomatoes, yogurt, bread and pancakes. Drinks are fruit juices, tea or coffee.
Afternoon tea is provided free of charge with a selection of cakes and there is always a bowl of fruit to help yourself to.
The evening meal can be selected from the menu or you can choose the set menu for 45 TL each. This consists of 5 courses, soup, salad, 4 mezes, main dish, pudding and a glass of wine.
The food overall was very good but you must be prepared for the odd cold addition with your main dish. The tap water is drinkable as fed from a spring. If you want a wider variety then the dolmus costs 5TL into Fethiye where you have a varied selection of restaurants - 1/2 hourly service after 8pm till 12.30pm.
If you want peace and quiet then this is an oasis - but there is not much around you apart from one small shop and a very noisy bar just round the corner. Staff are always helpful and the manager Daniella will always do her utmost for you. Very amusing watching the chickens/ducks being rounded up for the night - one always gets away!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms 103,104,113,114,123,124 are in the newer block and are brighter with more modern bathrooms. Pe...

We loved our stay at Yonka Lodge, it was just so peaceful and relaxing.
We stayed in a loft (penthouse) room and loved its cozy charm along with great facilities - flat screen t.v, good sized fridge, tea & coffee facilities and nice balcony with a peep of the sea.
The atmosphere of the whole place is lovely with lots of nice places to sit and relax, read or take in the view. We enjoyed swimming in the sea and the pool and loved chilling out in one of the beach cabanas. We sat and watched the sunset from the beach with a nice red wine one evening.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the dinners were very good too, especially the mezzes and salads. We enjoyed sitting eating by candlelight under the stars, sand at our feet, listening to lovely live Turkish music. Magical!

Room Tip: The loft / penthouse room has a romantic charm for couples.
