We stayed at Yonca Lodge for two weeks staying in one of their superior rooms.
It was dark when we arrived so our first impression was the sound of the sea and the croaking of the frogs .
Sunrise brought with it the true beauty of the place. Gorgeous well kept gardens, fruit trees, vines, hens , ducks, geese and their chicks wandering about the place. Small river running alongside , scenic views from the beach. What a place!
Our room was very comfortable with high ceilings and plenty of space. It was nicely furnished. Fridge with mini bar , complimentary teas and coffee making facilities and bottle of water (left every day). The bed was extremely comfortable with good pillows and linen. Plenty of storage space for everything. We had our own veranda with large cushioned daybed, 2 deckchairs and small table.
Bathroom was decent size with bath and overhead shower, complimentary toiletries and soft snow white towels.
Breakfast was great. So fresh and plenty of choice. Delicious homemade jams, cereals, yogurt, breads, dried fruits and nuts, various cheeses, fresh fruits, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and more besides. Herbal teas , fresh coffee and fruit juice. Delicious.
The pool was cleaned daily and had small children's area. Plenty of sunbeds and towels were provided.
Scenic views from beach, plenty of loungers and plenty of space. If you needed to cool off there were shady platforms and olive trees also offered shade. Scattered about were hammocks too.
Throughout the day you could order snacks and light meals at reasonable prices . I loved the homemade lemonade and became quite addicted to it !!
It is located a bit out of the way but personally that was what we wanted. There's a dolmus that runs frequently into Fethiye from 8 a.m til late. A bargain at only 5tl each way per person. It's about a 35 minute ride.
Last but not least the staff are all lovely and kind. Must mention Danielle who was most helpful and who would go out of her way to help. Buket, whose beautiful smile greeted us each morning at breakfast and when you brought our lemonade down the beach ☺ Big thank you too to Hava, Makbule and Leyla who work so hard to keep the rooms spotlessly clean.
We would recommend Yonca to all who would love a relaxing place to stay.
We loved it... Thank you all.x
