“Extremely Good Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2009

We have just had two weeks at the Rebin Beach and thoroughly enjoyed it. High points and one not so highas follows:-

Tayfun is an excellent Hotel manager, his wife also takes part in helping to make the stay memorable, extremely friendly and a great sense of humour! The staff are superb and cannot do enough for you, hard to pick anyone above anyone else, Mehmet is hilarious, Ali very conscientious and Serkand (think that is right) just such a nice guy. The assistant Manager "adam" is a star as well, Aydin "the baby" of the team and everyone else just great! Must not forget the Housekeeping staff who keep it all so spick and span and change the bedlinen and towels daily. (the towels made into hearts and bouganvillea scattered on the bed one night was such a surprise!)

Rooms are comfortable with safe, lovely surrounding gardens and a superb pool and bar area. Usual "turkish nights" etc. but never went as "not my thing" Air conditioning available at reasonable charge.

The food is excellent, evening Bufe YTL 20 per head, and with hindisght I should have booked us in half-board! Food Turkish mainly and somethimg everyone can enjoy.

At first we were concerned at the Location being the far end of the Prom but the Dolmus stops nearby, it is a nice stroll down the prom and if you rent a car you are on the main Antalya road very quickly without having to go through the Fethiye traffic.

Only thing that could be perhaps considered is the bar prices are higher than on the Beach or Fethiye but they are also "standard" measures, (noticeable when you order a Raki there is a lot less Raki in the galss!), it does hit the old pocket a bit if you drink at the bar after dinner or return from Chalish/Fethiye etc. and join a group at the Bar. Perhaps up the Hotel price a bit as compensation for lower bar prices?

Whatever, I loved it and we will be back maybe bringing whole family!

Oh, one last thing, I was concerned about crossing Dual Carriageway and had read about it being dangerous. Well there is a bridge over the canal right outside the Hotel by the traffic lights and we never found traffic heavy. Even at peak times a short wait and a walk over to the central reservation, maybe a short wait again and you are safely over.
Late at night often not a vehicle in sight!

just got back from another great holiday in calis beach turkey! we stayed at Rebin Beach Hotel.
Very clean and friendly hotel, close enough to the beach and bars, yet in a very quiet area.
the staff could not do enough to help.
the pool was very big for the size of the hotel and all rooms had AC.
We have stayed in quite a few hotels in the area and this one ticked all the right boxes.

We stayed at the Rebin beach during the summer of 2008 for a 14 night stay.
This was our fifth year in Calis having already stopped at the Seril II and the Excellent Gunes hotel.
First impressions of the Rebin were good and we were escorted to our room. From there on it was downhill all the way. The room, although spacious lacked curtains, seemed to be in the middle of a refurb. It took two days to be fitted with even the most basic of curtains. The balcony area was small and when we arrived was dirty and even had an old bottle of water thrown on the floor.
The worst part about the hotel was the mangement staff who seemed to be permanently on sentry duty looking out for holiday makers who were sneeking in contraband! ie drinks not purchased in the hotel. Many holiday makers were seen sneeking out during the day with empty bags only to return later in the day with bags full of all manner of goodies in order to get around the sentries.
If you failed to drink in the hotel bar you were seen as an outcast and as the hotel was no where near the sea so many holday makers, wanting to the view the spectacular sunsets Calis has or to visit other parts of the resort sought a more friendly welcome elsewhere.
Sunbeds were always 'booked' the night before so get your towels down early! One other main problem with the hotel was not specifically down to the hotel but concerned a large group of Polish children who stayed at the hotel. Although not really causing problem constantly 'booked' the sunbeds and the management seemed to ignore this fact. at breakfast very few seats were available and if you were behinf the Polish party the selection of food was limited. Food was rarely refrigerated so cold meats and cheese etc. warmed up nicely during the breakfast period.
Other problems included building work on the nearby roads which resulted in huge plumes of dust being thrown all around the swimming pool area, relatively long walk to the sea front bars etc, general lack of atmosphere, poorly maintained children's pool and being over charged for our bar bill (perhaps it should be called the Robbing Beach?).
One high spot of the hotel was the cleaning staff who worked long hours and during our stay kept our room spotlessly clean.
So to sum up - poor management, poor breakfast, poorly maintained pool, lack of atmosphere and a general lack of ability to cope with large groups of guests.
We will not be going there again and recommend that you don't either.
These opinions I believe to be a true reflection of our stay at the Rebin and although quite negative are a clear indication of the stay we had there.
