“One of my best dive holidays in my 10 years of diving.”

Seahorse Diving Centre
Reviewed 10 August 2011

We searched for a few years to find a live aboard dive boat in Turkey and after spending a week on the Seahorse A it was well worth the search. Myself and my wife are already planning a return trip next year. The crew were very friendly and helpful. The Boat was in good condition and very comfortable. 2 - 3 dives per day and a nice and relaxed pace with some very interesting dive sites. I would recommend this trip to any divers regardless of their experience level.

Three Brits (2 divers) have just spent one week on the Seahorse diving gulet. We sailed from Fethiye to Dalyan in and out of small coves and inlets, visiting a few marinas on the way.
Diving was good; 2-3 dives per day, good visibility and varied including cave dives and a night dive.
Plenty to do also for non divers; snorkelling, kayaking, swimming , relaxing and visiting ancient sights including a trip to Dalyan to see the Lycian tombs, the ruins of Kaunus and the mud baths. The accommodation was comfortable and the food prepared by the chef was delicious, healthy and varied. Mehmet the owner runs a very hospitable, friendly boat and all 14 guests form various parts of the world had a wonderful week. We will definitely be back!

I've just returned from a 1 week live aboard diving trip and it was absolutely fantastic. The owner Mehmet Avcu and his crew were genuine and helpful when dealing with their guests and made my vacation an unforgettable one. The yacht Seahorse A, recently purchased by Mr. Avcu accommodated very comfortably 14 guests from Turkey, The Netherlands, England and Australia. I highly recommend Searhorse Diving Centre and the crew for divers who want to experience both a great live aboard diving trip in Southern Turkey, as well as to those who do not dive but who are looking for a relaxing cruise in the Mediterranean Sea and a great cultural experience since the cruise also allows guests to visit antique sites in Southern Turkey.

Second year running on Dinc bu and as before excellent weather, good food and varied diving in good viz and warm water (28 deg !). Crew excellent and contribute to the very relaxed atmosphere (mixed group of divers and non-divers) where you can totally relax for a week and there's no need to look at your watch ! Dive sites are varied with expert guiding by Mehmet who always seems to find something. Dive kit up area is large and well orgainised some dives via RIB. Evening entertainment is DIY, playing cards, scrabble etc. All in all a great week, can't wait to go back next year

Everything I said about last year was true for this year. Beautiful weather, with a couple of excellent thunder storms added on the first night.

An even mix of Turkish (6) and Brits (6) on this week, and everyone was very friendly again.

A new Gulet, Dinc Bu, this year and I think it was even better than last years. A bit more space on the dive deck, with the compressor/cylinder bench arranged to facilitate easier kit up. No swapping cylinders this year. The cabins were all bigger, and most of them were doubles, which is good for couples.

Great diving again, with the biggest grouper (this side of a Goliath) that I have ever seen. The water was warm (27C), clear (10-25m vis) and there was lots to do and see. Swim throughs and caves are plentiful here as well as myriad crevices to explore with your torch. As well as the shoals of various size fish there are hermit crabs, nudibrancs, wrasse, blennys etc to spot and photograph.

No currents mean that it is a very easy place to dive, so very relaxing as well as interesting.

I am a committed Red Sea wrecks and reefs diver with 10 liveaboard trips out of Sharm in my logs but the combination of Turkey, the boat, the crew, the water, the fish, the caves etc, etc mean we will be coming back again in 2010.
