Turan Hill lived up to expectations, once we upgraded to a balcony bungalow. General ambiance was good and the place is set up for a relaxing stay, food was good and varied.

Two small gripes - little help with finding our way onto the Lycian Way, no maps or up to date guide book, I would have thought that walking this route which runs through the valley was a good selling point for visitors. The other was that the tap water was awful to drink and bottled water was expensive with no alternative shops handy. For this price drinking water should be free or cheap.

Turan Hill is a real hidden paradise, a special place for special people. Ece and her team provide all the necessary comfort and attention with great professionalism and thoughtfulness to make everybody feel "at home". I enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks among wonderful people, stunning views, and gorgeous food. A perfect vacation!

It is best place I had ever stayed to relax and get rest little bit. Turan Hill Lounge has the best view in Kabak bay. Ambiance is great. You are just in nature&seaside. also, there are lots of possibilities for trekking. I will obviously visit this place again. Food was average. My positive comments are; music, location and room were great. also staff in the bar were very friendly and helpful. Negative comments; all cutlery and glasses were pretty dirty. Each time I eat or drink something, I had to wash them on my own. Unfortunately it give also some idea about cleanliness of kitchen. Secondly, as I hate misunderstandings, I called 2 weeks before my visit to confirm my reservation (I did 1.5 month earlier than my visit) for Virgo room. However when we arrived they said they changed it!?! When I refuse that (I also had email confirmation), they gave us the room I booked. Interestingly she/responsible person was able to insist to change our room. It is important because each room has a different location and view. And for our check-out, they miscalculated our bill, then I had to sit with a calculator and correct their calculation with them. They easily accepted their mistake but it is not a nice feeling to talk that much long about money. And last negative comment is about the front office staff. All the day, they are sitting on a table in the middle of common area or walking around with their walkie talkie. It is pretty against to the soul of this place. It prevents that you would feel at home; but instead staying at somebody's living room. It is not possible to understand who is who as they dont have name tags but they behave like queens of the bay.. It seems notably strange. Nevertheless, bar staff was fine.

Room Tip: Virgo was the best room for a couple with a balcony which has nice bay/sea view. due to its location...

I found a home at Turan Hill. The terraced surroundings are magical, making you feel like you're in a ginormous tree house. The food is amazing, the views are spectacular, and the staff are incredibly helpful. I stayed a week and could have stayed longer. What a find.

I seriously cannot recommend Turan Hill Lounge highly enough. It’s a truly magical place, the reality of which can only be fully appreciated if you go there and see it for yourself.

That’s the short version, the long version is this…

Nestled in the stunning Kabak valley you’ll find the gorgeous Turan Hill Lounge camp. It’s not a hotel, if you’re expecting uniformed staff and starched table cloths you’ll be sorely disappointed. It’s just not that kind of place, it’s much more unique. The owners Ece and Ahmet have created something really wonderful here, they have put their heart and soul into this place and it shows. A magical hideaway made up of boutique bungalows of varying standards and prices, (so there’s something for every budget) lots of lounging platforms placed to make the most of the breath taking scenery around – the clear, unspoilt views feel like you could just touch the sea or the mountains from where you are sitting. The whole ethos of the place is to be close to nature, the camp itself looks like it’s been grown out of the ground, all local wood, stone, plants. In fact, from the beach, you can’t see the camp as it blends in completely with its surroundings, a really nice touch that shows how they care about the place and its environment.

I think there is a tranquillity here that is often too hard to find. At night you’ll be lulled to sleep with the sound of the waves, the soft chilled tunes that might drift from the lounge area and the odd hoot of an owl from the forest. In the morning you’ll be woken by the far off cockerel crow (now distant since he was moved further away from the camp after some visitors had disturbed sleep from his eager morning call!) and the chickens doing their morning clucky scrat around the camp. I’ve visited the other camps but not stayed, what Turan seems to have that the others do not are the unique touches– carefully decorated rooms and sitting areas outside the boutique houses so you can relax away from people if you wish, the sweep of staff lighting the whole place with candles at dusk to create the feel of a twinkly grotto, the outdoor roof top bar with laid back loungers, great for star gazing.

There’s not much to do if you like the touristy trappings of shops, restaurants, busy streets. But more than plenty to do if you like to get away from it all and chill, read, take in the scenery, walk up the mountain/on Lycian way, swim in the crystal clear sea, laze on the small but unspoilt beach. The food at Turan is outstanding so you need not look any further for special eats. The food is spectacularly fresh, flavoursome and healthy, different dishes every night mean it’s never boring, the selection is plentiful and always beautifully presented. Breakfast is more simple but always plenty of fresh, tasty food.

We’ve visited for the last three years and have just returned from a 2 week break (we visited during the time of the June civil unrest but nothing was spoilt. There was the occasional murmur of talk about the state of affairs across the country, as you’d expect, but Turan provided a haven to get away from it all, that’s what they do so well. And just for the record, the journey to and from Kabak on the local bus service was simple, as usual, even at the height of the protests so don’t ever be put off.) As always, Ece and Ahmet and their amazing team struck the ever perfect chord of meeting all our needs without any overbearing attention, they just knew what we needed and when. Their vibe is relaxed and friendly which I love. The staff this year were outstanding, a global mix of young, bright spirits who did everything with a smile – a bunch of really lovely people.

That coupled with the food, the scenery, the sun, the magically created Turan atmosphere was the making of another wonderful holiday in Kabak. But not just any holiday, the kind that puts you back in touch with nature, with yourself and leaves you feeling more human again. That’s the magic of Kabak and Turan Hill Lounge.

Room Tip: You can't really go wrong - great if you take a balcony room but if you are on budget don't...

This place is unique. You stay in a tree house bungalow in an incredible place, Kabak, a gorgeous small beach valley. The pension is next to the beach and the food at dinner really is a treat. The decoration is very meticulous, they are small wonders everywhere, the luxurious plants and the view were just breathtaking. We fell in love with this place and did not want to leave.
The only black spot is the organization of the front office staff: when we went in the beginning of June, there were like 3 employees per guests yet the service was not that great. Some of them were really nice, but most of them were pretty aloof to our aloof. They are always hanging around the common area, and this can get kind of annoying. Indeed, you never know if they are on/off duty, and you feel like you’re either being watched/spied or that no one cares about you (since they’re busier hanging around).
Go to Turan Hill because the place and the accommodation are exceptional but the service or at least the staff organization (less employees, but more qualified/trained).

Room Tip: Get a room with a terrace, the balcony and its view are worthwhile

We stayed 4 nights at Turan at the end of April. We actually had only booked 2 nights, but it was so great that we decided to stay 2 extra nights. The view of the mountains was amazing, and the beach was really nice. Since it was the beginning of the season there were only 10 to 15 people at the beach. It was really relaxing.
The food for dinner was excellent, mainly vegetarian. But the breakfast was not as exciting.
Kabak is a great place to go to relax, and since it is a little bit harder to get to (dolmus to Kabak + jeep to the lodge), it's really a quiet place.
The place is pet-friendly.
Overall it was one of the best part of our 3-week trip to Turkey, and we would definitely go back. Turan Hill Lodge is a great place for an amazing vacation in Kabak!

Room Tip: The libra is the best one I believe (biggest and apart from the other ones).
