Just returned from having stayed a week at the Green Peace Hotel, and what a week it was!!!
I always read reviews before I go away, i'm not sure wether this is a good or a bad thing!!
I am sorry to all of those who have already booked, but do feel people need to be aware of a few things!!!
On arrival, at 11pm, we had to look for the Manager as he was enjoying himself with the guests at a pool party. It seemed an inconvenience that we had arrived and had to pull him away from his fun. We were given the room key, and that was it. No help offered getting the cases to the third floor, the lights are on a timer and turn off when your half way up the stairs!! Room- Basic, and tired looking, and the toilet was hanging off! But they were clean, and all you had to do was a hang a sign on the door and the maid would come in and clean. Because this is a hotel, you have none of the self-catering facilities, ie- a fridge, which would be helpful in mid August!! Also there is a big sign when entering the Hotel, that you cannot take any food or drink in that has been purchased from outside of the hotel. The rooms did have air conditioning which was a blessing, but you do pay extra for this. The gym and the jaccuzi they show on the pictures, is not great, AND YOU HAD TO PAY EXTRA TO USE IT!!
The Hotel grounds are also shabby with plenty of weeds and debris cluttering up what could be a nice outdoor area. The pool however is spotless. Sunbeds and Umbrellas are also very old and dated. You can probabaly see that on the photo's.
They play music all day by the pool, and they turn it up by 10 decebells at dinner!!! NOT SURE WHY??(Many of the guests staying got very frustrated at this and asked them to turn it down, no sooner had they turned it down and it was pumping again!!!)
The location when it says surrounded by pine forrests, these are located in the distance!!
Breakfast, not great, typical turkish breakfast. The food is left out for a long time,(up to 4 hours in the heat) so becareful those of you who haven't got a strong stomach!!
This basically is a family run Turkish Doss House where catering for the guests during the day can be an inconvenience to the owner and his staff who would rather be partying themselves. Oh and they love themselves so much it's cringe worthy, Be aware if your female and breathing!!.
This all changes when Grandad arrives at the weekend who is obviously the man with the purse strings!! When he's there it's all hands on deck. Shame he's not their everyday!
There are some nice places to visit nearby. Hisaronu is only a 10 minute walk away or you can take a bus. Fethiye is also nice about a 10 minute bus ride away.
All in all, resort was a nice place and we made the most of it and met some great people to, just be aware of the hotel!!!!
