“Good medium range hotel”
Reviewed 19 May 2012

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in May 2012 in a deluxe room. The room was large with a huge bed and lovely bathroom, very comfortable and good view of the harbour and part of the boat yard. Breakfast down on the water's edge with views over the harbour was great. We did not use the restaurant as went into the old town for meals which were also really good and not expensive. The hotel pool is nice and large, the only down side is people walking by to get to the marina. The hotel is situated in the middle of the boat yard and there is some noise from there of banging and drilling but we did not find it intrusive, in fact we rather liked watching all the goings on. It was lovely and quiet at night. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the old town but it is a nice walk round the harbour. However, little mini-bus dolmus run every 5 minutes for 2 lires which you can hail anywhere along the route so it is really easy. The reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English.

Room Tip: All rooms have harbour view except for ground floor

Just returned from a 6 night break at the Marina Vista and overall I would rate the hotel, rooms facilities, staff and food as excellent. There is a downside but some may enjoy the novelty of the shipyard views - well that is how the downtown map describes the area more of a beach yard full of yachts bought in for clean down and makeover. We spent several hours watching them pull up boats from the harbour and launching those ready to go back out for there summer cruising. Stay on the ground floor and you have no views a sea view gives you plenty to observe and sunshine most of the day too. Wander thru the yard to watch some really impressive yachts under construction mostly from wood quite impressive too. You are a good walk from the town but shuttle buses run every 5 mins and will pick you up on route if you tire of the walk 1.5 turk lira fro a single trip no matter how far you go. Wouldnt even bother with taxis as bus will get u just as quick.
The rooms were very clean and as an ex sensitive smoker of 4 months could not smell any tobacco in the rooms until approx 3rd day when we noticed the smell which seems to originate from the vent in the bathroom probably from other rooms - closed this vent and we did not notice it again.
We stayed half board which was very cheap and had a set meal each evening consisted of 3 courses and was very well prepared and presented along with our breakfast each day more than satisfied our need for food all day. Surprised how cheap Turkey is and a blast from the past when you could eat and drink all day and not worry about the price. A large beer at 6 lira or approx £2 served ice cold in a 4* hotel is pretty good.
If you are a boat lover you will love this hotel, if you want to get just out of town you will love this hotel. We wanted a small hotel good rating out of the complex and away from the night life and this is what we got in a nice clean friendly hotel.

Room Tip: Pick a sea view ie all rooms above ground floor face out into harbour and have a small balcony. The...

The rooms at this modern hotel are quite large for Turkey, with king beds and good-sized bathrooms as well. This property is next to a busy marina which can be noisy in the summer. The restaurant here is quite nice and offers a large array of international dishes from Mexican to Greek. The one negative element is that it is quite far from the center of town and there are few restaurants in the area. Parking is on the street.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel to visit Fethiye and its islands.
The hotel is quite new and the building with swimming pool and restaurant area is very nice.

The main problem (non acceptable in my opinion) is that all rooms are full of smoking smell. We asked to have a change of room because the first one we had (obviously we booke a NO smoking room!!) was intolerable, but they showed us two other rooms and, even if the situation was a bit better, smoking smell was eveywhere and it was very hard to sleep at night with such a smell.

It is a real pity that a so nice building is treated so bad. Rooms are nice and there is a private harbour and a nice swimming pool.

Other 2 problemas are:
- it is out of fethiye, so you have to move by your own car or by bus
- there is a ship "parking" in front of the rooms and there is people working since early morning.

Breakfast is in a beautiful environment but quality is not very high and service is quite poor.

We asked at reception for a nice boat trip to the island saying that we were interested in something not crowded and not a big boat. They gave us the number of a captain they know and the experience had been terrible. A big boat, a lot of people, few stops and terrible food. If you are not sure about what you reccomend, please, don't do it!

Anyway in general the hotel has a high potential but my experience had been bad.

Room Tip: Keep attention to smoking smell. Low floor have no view.

We stayed here for the last two weeks in September 2011. The hotel was newly refurbished and the standards were high. Rooms were modern and stylish and well fitted with excellent bathrooms. Our room was of generous proportions and included flat screen TV with a BBC channel as well as Turkish etc.
The buffet breakfast was of good quality and variety. We were able to eat this sat on the decking by the marina with the water just inches away. We dined in the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food and service was excellent, It offered good value by hotel standards and the setting was perfect.
The staff were professional and friendly with a "can do" policy. Special mention to Reha and the ladies in reception who exceptional.
The hotel is some 30mins walk from the centre of Fethiye but if that is too far there are frequent dolmus buses which stop outside the hotel door every ten minutes and the trip to town costs around 50p each. The service in the opposite direction leads past Letoonia Resort to some delightful sheltered bays. We used Kuleli which was enchanting and very Turkish.
The only downside would be for those who wish to spend their day by the pool. It is a pretty and sheltered area with bar service but the hotel is adjacent to a working boatyard and there can be significant noise from there during working hours. We were out virtually all day and it did not cause us any concern.
We will return to this hotel, hopefully next year. It offered excellent value on the edge of the delightful town of Fethiye with its parks, promenade, boats, old quarter and myriad restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Room Tip: Rooms are all to one side of the hotel and offer side sea and garden views. We were on reception le...

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour with Imaginative Traveller. The hotel seems new, and was the best we stayed in during our tour. The rooms were very luxurious, with lovely bathrooms, although we didn't have much of a view from our room. Bed was very comfortable and large. The pool area was lovely, and breakfast served in the restaurant next to the water which was very picturesque. The hotel is quite a long way from the main town, so be prepared for a walk.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the top floors to get a view

Lovely, small (38 room) hotel. Well appointed with comfortable beds. We stayed in De luxe room and even extra bed put in for daughter was comfortable. Buffet style Turkish breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the marina. Hotel facilities used by marina users too which gave a really interesting mix of people. Small but clean and usually quiet pool. There is a working boatyard next door but they make wooden boats/ yachts so the noise is barely noticeable. It also means that some of the small nearby cafes cater for the workers so you can get really cheap authentic Turkish food. Quiet area on the edge of Fethiye but town centre is only a 15 minute walk or 5 minute (and cheap) dolmus ride away. Staff unfailingly helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend this hotel/area. Very different from some of the more "Blackpool style" resorts 15k away. Loved it! N.B. all rooms have air conditioning and hotel has own sauna and hammam, which I would also recommend. No organised children's activities - not that kind of place.
