Marina Boutique Fethiye Hotel
Ranked #35 of 102 Hotels in Fethiye
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 2 September 2013

This seems to be a relatively new hotel as there is very little evidence of wear and tear in either the rooms or the common areas. Located a good fifteen minute walk from the centre of Fethiye, or a two minute minibus ride if you are feeling lazy, it is away from all the noise and hustle. The rooms are first class, with huge beds, great views and fabulous bathrooms. Not all the advertised hotel services were up and running when I was there, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more than made up for this. A minor criticism would be the buffet breakfast which lacked fruit juice and proper coffee (nescafe out of a machine), but lunch and dinner were very good on the occasions I ate at the hotel restaurant.

Overall this hotel represents very good value for money and I cannot praise the front of house staff enough. I stayed here for a total of seven nights and would not hesitate to choose this hotel again were I to return to Fethiye.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor for the best views

We were 6 friends in 3 deluxe rooms. All loved this hotel. Easily a 5 star hotel with views to the marina. If you do not choose a deluxe room you miss out on the view. Lovely swimming pool area. We ate at the hotel the 2 nights and enjoyed sitting by the marina soaking up the views and atmosphere. Food was ok but not memorable but the experience was worth it. Good wine choice. Free wifi. Parking outside the hotel. Lift. Friendly and helpful staff. The shuttle bus stops at the hotel and takes only a few minutes to downtown. Rooms are large and modern with nice décor. I enjoyed a massage at the spa. I would recommend this hotel especially if you want a quiet spot.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe rooms with a view.

We arrived very late and despite being very nice we were given the wrong room type. We had booked and paid for a deluxe. When phoning down were told it was a deluxe. Thank goodness for the free WiFi, so we could show them there own website which displays the rooms. We were then moved without fuss. As they say a picture paints a thousand words!

When we went to unpack your only provided with two coat hangers. Two people and fourteen days worth of clothes, you do the ,this is just ridiculous and shameful. In the morning asked for some more, we ended up with two more, and told no more available. Also they have no iron, but you can get it done for a charge.

The staff in this hotel are fairly nice and helpful. They do not go above and beyond, and there is no delivery of high customer service here. It's all a bit ok. There are two exceptions here. The female receptionist with the red hair is just great and her local tips are really spot on. Ibrahim who is a waiter is the polar opposite he talks to you and looks at you like you are something that has dropped out of his bottom.

The rooms are a good size and very clean. The bathroom is really good also. Your room is cleaned and everything is changed daily. There is only one English TV channel, but that was not a problem.

The grounds are well kept and there is a small pool, which is surrounded by high end pool furniture. There are towels provided and you usually get a bed. However be warned that some of the staff have friends in, and for some strange reason quite a lot of ex pats hang out here, taking up beds and talking loudly about themselves. Usually by about two they take themselves off to the restaurant and stay there all afternoon still talking about themselves. They leave their fake Versace towel's on the beds so no one can use the beds. I will say with these ex pats that England's loss is Turkey's gain, not!

Avoid the hamam or spa, nasty staff who only want to up sell.

So basically the management need to do a lot better. When the manager leaves for the day, some of the staff take the Michael, but that is for the manager to deal with himself.
This is perhaps the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed at. It could have been great. It has all the right ingredients, but it looks to me like its not managed well, such a shame.

Room Tip: High floors better

Was looking forward to stopping in this hotel.
Day one on arival here given the wrong room.
They said it was correct checked with front desk wrong room moved to the correct room
Having traveled for sometime and ariving very early in the morning this was disapointing.
Next day we requested some extra hangers still waiting.
On our fourth day we went down for lunch which after a bit of a wait, which was surprising since they where not busy. Lunch was ok nothing special. Paid the bill then notice afterwards we had been over charged
Spoke to the waiter who served us didn't seem bothered had a very bad attitude.
Still never got it resolved even though they where wrong.

A four star hotel almost confused me, I was so sure it could have easily been rated as a 5 star. Incredible hotel in a breathtaking surrounding. The hotel staff are very well manered and equally friendly. Hotelbis certainly a must when visiting Fethiye.

This hotel overlooks the boat yard as well as the marina, and, as others have said that means there is some noise, but personally I don't find it too intrusive. The rooms are large and well appointed, though there were some stains on the carpet which should have been cleaned. Also other reviewers have mentioned that there Is only a scratchy blanket on the bed, I thought they meant in addition to a top sheet, so called reception to ask for the forgotten top sheet, but no this is how they make the bed up! However they happily brought me a duvet at about 10.30pm so make sure you ask for that and a top sheet. Also, though the hotel is a considerable way from town the dolmus stops right outside and runs every 10 minutes for 2tl. Breakfast is fine but no better than i have had in cheap guesthouses in turkey. personally i think this hotel is excellent value for money, great view, large well appointed room, lovely bathroom and outside areas. i would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Some rooms have more of a marina than boatyard view( the lower numbers ie 501 to 503 and 401 to 403...

When we booked we used these reviews as a guide. Our opinion is that the Hotel is good and the location is reasonable. The actual Hotel siting of it's rooms, facilities, swimming pool and proximity to the beach beach is excellent. The staff are all naturally happy at their jobs and make you feel so welcome, this is not easy to maintain for 20 years as they have just celebrated!

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the same park as reception and close to the Zoo/gym area
