“Absolutely fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2013

The beach club is brilliant and trying to fault it is very difficult!
The main beach is large with plenty of deck chairs and a beach bar waiters come round very regularly taking orders and giving you cold fresh towels to cool off aswell as cleaning your sunglasses and handing out fresh fruit and corn on the cob! There are 2 platoons floating in the ocean which you can swim or walk to. The serenity beach is nice and you can take a 10 minute walk or small boat ride and there is a bar and small bbq there too. The silent beach is very calm and pleasant although with lots going on we didn't really feel inclined to go there. The pool is also great.
There is a timetable of the days events in guest relations and I strongly recommend taking part. The animation team do classes such as zumba and pilates there is also waterpolo, aqua aerobics, volleyball and lots of other activities pleasing everyone during the day! The team are so friendly and welcoming.
The entertainment at night is great and the team manage to get everyone involved in the themed nights. Pacha nightclub is also great fun and I went along with the animation team who become added friends for the week!
The main restaurant has something to suit everyone and your spoilt for choice! Breakfast has hot and cold dishes including bacon and eggs, beans, tomatoes, omelettes, porridge, crepes, freshly baked bread and croissants, cold meats and cheeses, fruits and cereals. Lunches and Dinner have different options each evening and is all very fresh. Waiters can not to enough for you. Pacha restaurant has tapas like starters explained by the waiter then you choose main and dessert. The beach restaurant is very idyllic with candles by the sea you choose of a menu for everything and its lovely.
Fethiye is about 10 minutes in the shuttle bus and is worth a look round in the morning for a couple of hours although once your at the hillside you don't really feel the need to leave as there is lots to do there.
The kids club was great and my sister got to know the staff well and had lots of fun everyday.
The watersports is also great morning is best for waterskiing or wakeboarding while sailing is best in the afternoon.
The gym is really well equipped if you fancy going and you can also play tennis.
Everyone can use the sauna, jacuzzi and turkish baths at the sando spa massages are charged but my mum said it was the best she ever had!
We had a family room with the master bedroom and a smaller childrens bedroon and attaching balcony very safe, clean big and lovely! Free gifts in the bathroom are an added bonus.
Just a special mention about morning yoga and sunset yoga on everyday. Morning yoga is on a platform and is the best way to wake up looking out over the ocean. Aloosha is great teacher and you don't have to be an expert.
Ultimately an amazing hotel where they go out of their way to make sure you have a good time! Definitely want to go again!

We have stayed there 9 days with two adults and one child. We very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. The room was overlooking the bay - really nice and worth the additional price. When you book make sure the room is not close to the elevators and not too close to the pool, as it can be noisy in the evening.

Very good was the Water sports team, try the parasailing - a great experience.

only disappointment was the bar - did not even have Aperol Spritz and Hugo and was rather pricey. Better stay in the restaurant and have some wine there as the wine at the bar is a steal. Did not make any excursions and did not take any massage despite the fact that the facilities are really nice, but also far too expensive.
Unfortunately there was no regular shuttle to Fethiye which is quite a nice Turkish town, also the hinterland close by is worth a vist. We will probably go there again, May/June is a nice time go there.

We stayed at this hotel 13 to 27 June 2014; the Turkish schools broke up 15 June. We all holidayed together! I have never seen so many parents, babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, nannies, grannies, all together in one place. At times it was like staying on a beached mega cruise ship. I'm afraid this is THE place where the Turkish come to holiday and to be seen.

There were adult only facilities for those without children who wanted peace and quiet. There's 'Serenity Beach' which unfortunately is not so serene. It's surrounded by moored up motor yachts. On some of the yachts there are noisy children. Then the day boats turn up late morning and moor just outside the zone and there's the accompanying noise of the customers jumping into the water and yelling and screaming. And you're quite close to the water sport boats charging up and down with all varieties of 'drag 'em along the water' enjoyments.

Serenity Beach is about a 10 to 15 walk from the main hotel. But there's a half-hourly water taxi service that takes you back and forth between the beach and the jetty in the middle of the main bay. There's also a small bar at the beach which serves drinks and lunch-time light meals. There's also a WC and changing room on the beach.

There's the adults only 'Silent Beach' - and that's the saving to this place if you don't have children. Plenty of good quality sun beds (with comfortable mattresses), plenty of umbrellas, or shade up under the trees, lovely spot to swim. You can also pick up beach towels at this beach saving you having to carry them round from the main part of the hotel. There's also a WC adjacent to the beach and a couple of changing rooms at the back of the beach.

After a morning or afternoon spent on Silent Beach, the wall of sound that hits you when you round the side of the bay and come back into the main area is something else.

The other important adults only perk is the adults only section in the Dining Room. Problem is no-one tells you about it. You'll see it to the left of the Dining Room behind sliding glass doors. AS you face the Dining Room, go up the left-hand set of stairs. Mind you, 'adult' is an elastic term if you have enough money and clout with the hotel management. But overall not a real problem. At least you don't feel you're being 'rushed' through your meal to make way for other families.

The food here is the best we've ever had - the variety and the quality is truly wonderful. It's all self-service, so you'll find plenty of hot and or cold dishes to suit you. If you love desserts, be prepared to go back home much heavier! And what a selection of different breads, cheeses, cold meats, etc.

The package we were on was full board inclusive of local wine, beer, served with the meal. And always plenty of cold bottled water. On Silent Beach there is an unlimited supply of cold water available. Around 4:30 to 5:00 pm you can get glasses of Turkish apple tea and cakes for free at the Beach Bar and at the Bar under the Dining Room. Between 6.00 and 7.00 pm you can buy two for the price of one drinks. Just fine to enjoy a good cocktail before getting ready for dinner. So you don't have to spend a fortune on drinks outside of meal times.

There are two a la carte restaurants that you can eat at (one night at each a week). Pasha's is the one we went to, although there's no real choice and the food is no better than you can get in the main Dining Room. You also have to buy your own alcoholic drinks at these restaurants.

This resort is built into the side of the precipitous hills around the bay - a real problem if you have problems getting around. There are some very steep steps to negotiate and only limited 'lift' access to take you up/down. Also, if you don't want to be disturbed too much, make sure you get a quiet room, preferably in the 400's (overlooking the Silent Beach and into the bay) or the upper levels of the high 300's. We had room 377 and were nicely screened from everybody else by pine trees. I was told the 600's and 700's on the other side of the bay were quieter rooms as well.

We had a double room with partial sea view. This gave us a big bedroom (good air-conditioning system) with a huge double bed, and a walk-in closet, with a large balcony on the front. Perfect for relaxing. The bathroom was off the balcony - hence our delight in having the pine tree screening us. In the bathroom, there's a separate large walk-in shower area with a good sized shower head, separate sink area, and separate toilet. Vey acceptable. Fresh bath towels are provided every day. They also provide a super abundance of toiletries.

If you have children - this hotel is probably 'heaven'. There's access to the beach alongside a really pleasant pool. There's organised activities for a group of ages. There's a good selection of water sports.

The staff at the hotel are very attentive and friendly, nothing is too much for them. And there are lots of them, so you never have to wait that long, even with all the holidaying families around.

The Entertainment Team were very professional and put on a good show most nights. The hotel also installed a huge screen just off the shore, and everyone could lie out under the starts watching movies - the latest Superman and Ironman movies whilst we were there. There was also some good live music many of the nights, as well as a noisy weekly beach party.

The location of the hotel is really beautiful; the grounds are very well cared for, and there's a wonderful variety of named trees and shrubs, flowers. The water is crystal clear. Whilst we were there for the last two weeks in June, the weather was around 30-34 degrees (sun all day every day), the pool temperature around 27 degrees, and the sea temperature 24 degrees (coolish but very refreshing).

We only went on a couple of trips - both organised by the hotel. One was by boat round the headland to Fethiye for market day. Great if you want to buy real fakes. Very, very, hot though. The other trip was a day trip around a selection of the islands out in the bay. Plenty of time for swimming. Good food; water, beer, and soft drinks free; plenty of shade if you wanted it, along with plenty of beds out in the sun. A good day, recommended.

We also enjoyed a Thai head/neck/shoulder/upper back massage at a Spa behind Silent Beach. Good value!

Would we go again? Probably not, but that's not through any fault of the hotel. My wife and I are of an age when it's nice to have some quiet as a couple. If you have children, you'll probably want to go back more than once. Hopefully my review will help you to know what to expect. I'm sure this place is totally different when the Turkish school children go back to school mid-September.

Just got back from two weeks at Hillside. Wonderful holiday in a resort with great facilities in a wonderfully scenic location. Plenty to do with or without kids. Sea was gorgeous and the pool facilities were superb. Staff without exception were helpful, courteous and efficient.

I suspect we will return, I certainly hope so.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to beach level may get residual noise from some evening activities

Just returned from an 8 day break at Hillside, and it was wonderful!
Nestled on its own private beach, surrounded by pine clad hills, it is stunningly pretty. The sea is crystal clear turquoise, and there are ample sun beds (with comfy thick canvas covered mattresses - so no uncomfortable sweaty sunbathing!) both on the beach, and around the large pool.
The main restaurant has an amazing array of items, many cooked fresh at the station, ie grilled fish, steaks, stir fry, on the dessert counter I counted over 40 differing items at lunch time! The shows performed by the Dancers are wonderful, as we're the beach party, and the full moon party we attended. There are lots of activities to do if you want, and lots to keep children amused too. Room was excellent, with a beautiful view over the bay from the verandah, which has a couch to really help enjoy the view! Fethiye town is about 15 mins away and has lots of life, shops, and restaurants along the seafront. There is a shuttle bus. All the staff are excellent, helpful and friendly, and take time to chat and make you feel really welcome.
We went with grown up 'kids' and we all had a great time!
Learned Archery, learned to 'Cha Cha (thanks Roman!) wife and daughter learned to 'Belly Dance' (thanks Grace)

Room Tip: Quiet room in the '400' block (and 300) are further from the main pool, but are very restful...

Just back from 12 nights in what everyone described as paradise....but it really is. The staff can't do enough for you, the food is amazing ... there is no pressure to join in the games, aquafit, boules, volleyball...etc., but they pass the day and you meet people from all over the world just there, like you, to relax, have a drink and enjoy the fun in the sun. The rooms are spotless, as are the grounds and they must have the cleanest poolside toilets I've ever experienced. Every detail is thought of by the management and guest relations team.

The shows in the evening were excellent...performed by the annimation team - a troupe of 15 professional dancers .. my favourite was Wizard of Oz, but they were all equally entertaining so I shouldn't really single out just one. The same friendly annimation team are out chatting to the guests and running the daytime activities 6 days a week. I sampled the Sanda Spa traditional 1 hour massage treatment...so relaxing. We sunbathed at the silent beach, the serenity beach and the platoons - all just for adults - bliss!! But we also enjoyed our time around the pool listening to the laughter of the children and their families. We took a canoe out in the bay; went on a half day boat trip; enjoyed the experience of the Big Box Party night; and live entertainment in the Abaco bar and at the beach bar; a film on the beach at night; party night at Pasha. I won champagne one day at bingo and shared it with a German/Turkish couple and another day with two Belgian ladies. There is so much to do, or nothing if that's what you want. There was plenty for families with various clubs provided all day for infants to teens.

Only 1 downside for me, and a minor one at that, was the pebble beach. We took rubber beach shoes and they were great to walk into the sea, but you could walk out on the jetty and into the sea without touching the pebbles too.

I can't praise the place and the staff enough...just wish I could afford to go back tomorrow!!!

Room Tip: Rooms in block 100 are near the bar, restaurant and ampitheatre, then 200, 300 and 400 spread around...
