“Just Perfect!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

This was our third holiday in Calis Beach and we have already booked for next year!
In Club E my wife and I feel that we have found an oasis of peace, relaxation and great hospitality.
"Small and Friendly" does not do it justice. What makes this hotel so unique is the warm, welcoming atmosphere that all the staff go out of their way to create.
The owner, Efe, a true gentleman, will sit and talk to you around the terrace bar if you need a break from sunbathing by the pool. He is a very interesting and well travelled guy and will chat away, he also has a great understanding of the British sense of humour and all the guests have a great banter with him.
In addition, other staff such as Serkun, Mustafa and Ahmet go the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble for them, they do Efe proud.
The gardens, the pool, the food, the terrace bar, the location - I could go on and on.
We both feel that we have discovered our little piece of paradise - just perfect!!

We stayed here last Summer for 10 nights and tried to go back this year but it always seemed booked, hardly surprising!
It is perfectly located with extensive garden area, bar and restaurant. There is a large pool and more than enough Sun loungers without the need for the 7am rush!
The location is ideal, near the beach and town with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants.
Make sure you get the water taxi to Fethiye for the evening after watching the sunset from the beach.

This as was our first time at the Club E and our first time to Calis Beach. We had a great time. Yes the the Hotel is a bit dated but the staff are very nice and the food we had was excellent.Yes it is a very quite Hotel but this is why people return year after year.We liked it so much that we have booked to return next June.I would not say this is a hotel for children as there is nothing for them to do apart from a small children's pool, the main pool has no shallow end it is nearly 6foot deep all over. The resort is also great with great restaurants and bars.We liked George's and the Meeting Point restaurants and The Hamis Bar for drink. We can't wait to go back

Room Tip: The second and third floors give a good view of the lovely gardens the river and the sea.

We returned to the Club E, after a 3 year gap and it was as if we had never left. We were welcomed as old friends by Efe and all his staff, as usual they went out of their way to make our stay with them a good one. The Hotel is in an excellent location for the beach, promenade and restaurants - all within a 5 minute saunter, the hotel snack bar and restaurant is good value too. The pool is kept in tip top condition, as are the surrounding gardens. Our bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the aircon. was quiet and efficient, a must on very hot and humid days. This hotel is not for the young and trendy, but if you are looking for a great relaxing and carefree holiday, look no further than the Club E. As previous reviewers have said the beach is shingle, we would advise you purchase beach shoes from the local shops and enjoy the sea, it was clean, calm and warm.

All in all a great relaxing holiday, being Turkey virgins in our early 40's and always going to Greece, I must say Calis is a very nice place with some really nice food at very reasonable prices, the only down side is the drink prices but it doesn't break the bank, far to many good restaurants to eat at as is Club E.
Now to Club E, free safe and Air Con, but you have to pay £2 per day for the use of the small fridge, i cannot praise the staff enough, starting with the gardener, the gardens are beautiful and very well kept, he doesn't stop working all day long, he is also the porter and the odd job man.
The rooms are very basic but nice, the shower has a lot of pressure and is always warm, what more do you need when your on holiday, the cleaners do a very thorough job and change the towels every 3rd day and always greet you with a 'Hello' song.
The waiters/barmen are always very friendly and attentive, also tried teaching us Turkish but failed miserably, you don't pay cash at the bar, instead you run up a tab and pay the next morning or pay at the end of your holiday, Mustafa the barman who actually left the company half way through our holiday, personally I thought he was very rude, the man hated his job and told everybody that, the bar didn't have a closing time but when it got past midnight he used to sulk, moan and bang drinks down until you got the message that he'd had enough and wanted to go home, he got reported by some guests and was told by the owner Effy he had to wait behind the bar until the last guests had arrived home (So he said) which was completely out of order if true, in my opinion there should be a last orders time of 1am, that's late enough for anyone, if you want any later go into town.
I can't understand why the staff don't get a day off for the whole of the season, (out of order)they do such a good job and make Club E what it is, so give them a break occasionally.
The sunbeds are on a grass lawn next to the very deep pool, which is around 6 feet all over, so not good for any none swimmers, although a lot of floaty items knocking around! There are free pool towels in the room, I don't think I ever saw the sunbeds all used up, quite the opposite, so no getting up at 6am to put your towels down.
The average age I would say was around 55 upwards, so the place was always really quiet just as we like it, everybody was very friendly, most of the guests return twice a year every year, it is mainly an adult only Hotel except for the odd few children.
We met some really good friends at club E and had a lot of good nights out, big shout out to Warrick and Kerri from Nuneaton, Warrick was the baby of the hotel at 39 years old for a while.
The only Negative is the neighbouring hotel has very loud music and party games blasting away most times of the day and night.
The beach area is very close but is hard to get in and out of, we found the Sat bar at the end towards Fethiye the nicest, 10 lira for 2 beds and a parasol and only 5-10 mins away.
Get a takeaway for the flight home because Dalaman airport is very very expensive i.e. a can of pop is 12.50Lira (£4) and a small water 4L

My sister and I stayed in this small hotel following a week of cruising with Thomson the hotel lived up to its reviews of being small family run hotel.
The staff were fabulous and it was only a short walk to the beach and shops. Gardens were lovely for sun bathing.
We hopped on the local bus to ul deniz to eat at a nice restaurant we had eaten in on previous visits.
Very cheap way to travel. Unfortunately as it rained 3 days out of our week we didn't get to use the water taxis but plan to do that on our next visit in 2 weeks having to use a different hotel this time as Club e was fully booked.
Will let you know how we get on at the Oynkun when we get back.

I have just returned from a week's stay at the Hotel Club E. As many other reviewers have said it is a relaxing break with a number of plus points. The main advantages are:
* the location - a five minute stroll to the beach, bars and restaurants. However, the beach is shale and not pleasant to walk on.
* the pool area - the pool is never crowded and there is never any need to reserve sun loungers as there are enough for everyone.
* free safe and very effective air conditioning.
However, there are a number of downsides. Firstly, the breakfast was awful - hotdog and chips one morning, some sort of feta cheese pie another. Cheese, fruit, cakes and biscuits on offer (unrefridgerated and uncovered). Although you could order a fried egg if you didn't fancy the other things. Secondly, the bathrooms are in desperate need for a refurbishment (mouldy etc).
The service was polite and courteous, although some other guests complained that the service at the bar was hit and miss. The hotel offer 4 set menus of an evening priced from 25-36TL (around £8-12). This is a similar price to restaurants in town and the food was nice.
This is apparently the second season that the hotel has opened its doors to families. It is very quiet - apart from the deafening music from neighbouring hotels/aquapark. My son loved it as he enjoyed the pool but there are no other facilities for children. I did feel at the beginning of the week we ought to keep the noise down around the pool as I felt others were probably there for a quiet time and I'm sure there were a couple not expecting any children there.
This is a reasonable hotel that could be perfect if some improvements were made to address the negatives outlined.

Room Tip: Rooms 101 -105 have reasonable sized patio areas that open onto the pool.
