Some things were an excellent standard - bathrooms, shower, bedrooms, air con, nice pool, picturesque hotel, good location right on the beach (this hotel isn't actually in Fethiye, its on Calis Beach but still a very good location and only 25 minutes by Dolmus to Fethiye), beautiful sunsets, plentiful healthy food, cold bottled water on tap, helpful reception, used book library in reception you can help yourself to so you don't have to bring any, arrival sandwiches (not the best quality but will do if you're hungry), nice pool, wifi in reception area (would be better if it was also in the rooms, the dining area and pool area). The Olympic rep Sammy was also very helpful.

The staff work very, very hard here. All the ones that we saw were already working when we went down for breakfast, until after we went to bed, all day and all night. I hope they get low season off or its pretty much slave labour!!

Some things let the hotel down a little - have to agree with other reviewers its more like full board rather than all inclusive (no cocktails, no fresh juice, afternoon tea was just some wafers - no real snacks, only one dessert on offer usually either grapes or plums or honeydew melon. saying that, we ate really healthily and plentifully for the week (plenty of fresh salad) so for that reason were really pleased. they have efes pilsen beer, gin and tonic, water, coffee which was all we needed. There were also soft drinks pepsi 7up orangeade, and raki and vodka. the white wine was terrible.) There was a chicken sheesh kebab being freshly sheared on the Saturday night which was delicious. Breakfast was great - traditional Turkish so don't expect bacon etc. but always cheeses processed hams olives, bread for toast, jams and spreads, cooked eggs and tomatoes, cold tomatoes and cucumbers, cereal, watermelon, coffee and tea, strange sugary juice (cherry and pineapple I think - disgustingly sweet and processed). One day there was sausages, one day cheese rolls, and the first day there were pancakes which we were very disappointed not to see again. There was also a different soup every dinner time.

Meal times were very limited on timings, and also differed to what was stated on the hotel and Olympic website, only an hour for lunch, and an hour and half for dinner. This left you very restricted with outings and meant you had to spend your time at the hotel to be there for meals or miss out, I think the shortened meal times and less flexibility added to the shortage of sunbeds.
A dinner bell rang when the food was ready and all the guests rushed to the café area to get the food. Sometimes the hot food would run out or there wouldn't be anywhere to sit if you didn't go right away. Usually the hot food would be replaced after a wait and tables would become available after guests finished eating. There was one time the hot food wasn't replaced though and it wasn't even towards the end of the meal time so my partner had to just have salad for dinner.

There was an inconsistent approach to entertainment, some days it was peaceful at the pool and some days there was loud random music blasting. There was a quiz one night. There was also a net put up in the pool one day for pool volleyball. There is a TV and books in the reception area and a TV in the room (Turkish channels). There is plenty to do in the area though. It said on the website free billiards 10.00-18.00 but the staff didn't seem to know anything about this.

It was noisy on the Friday and Saturday night with noise from weddings in a venue behind the hotel.

Anything that let the hotel down was outweighed by having the free air con, the nice shower, the beautiful views, the comfortable (although in demand) sunbeds etc, and overall it was very good value for money and Calis/Fethiye was cheap and there was plenty to do (boat trips - stunning scenery, Turkish baths, mud baths, pamukkale, oludeniz, tombs, ghost town, restaurants and bars, water taxi, jeep safari, horse riding etc etc etc. and none of it is expensive). The sunset view from Calis beach was beautiful (around 19.45 - 20.15 when we were there) and although the beach is shingle it was also beautiful and lovely to spend a day there.

I would recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from having spent a magnificent 2 weeks at The Bahar Hotel, came back 11/8/14.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them and it made our stay more pleasurable.

It was very relaxing but with plenty to do if you wanted to in the local area.

The sunbeds opposite the ground floor rooms near the childrens pool are ideal if you want shade as the sun did not get around fully to the until after lunch.

The rooms were very clean, comfortable. We had room 104 ground floor overlooking the pool.

Although the choice of hot food was not expansive each meal the quality was excellent always hot and freshly cooked (this may mean you have to wait a few minutes for food to be replenished but in our opinion this is better than being stood a long time.

Good location and very close to the beach with wonderful sunsets.

We cannot thank the Bahar Hotel enough to make our stay wonderful (as said by our 9 year old son)

The rep we dealt with was extremely helpful Thank you Sammy.

Room Tip: There are no lifts so if you struggle with stairs ask for a ground floor (101 - 107)

Myself and my family returned from two weeks at this hotel on 11th August 2014. This friendly family run hotel was excellent value for money. The hotel is located right next to the beach where there is a strip full of shops, bars and restaurants. The food at the Bahar was excellent. I agree with many of the comments on trip advisor that, insofar as the food is concerned, it is more like full board rather than all inclusive. The reason for this is there is not a large selection at mealtimes. In hotels with in excess of 100 rooms you can usually expect 3 or 4 dishes to choose from at mealtimes. However, the Bahar has 30-40 rooms so the selection is not quite so extensive. Dessert at the Bahar will consist of a bowl of apples, plums or nectarines or ice cream or mousse and not a selection of cakes and ice creams to choose from as you may have experienced all inclusive at a larger hotel. Breakfast again will consist of two hot items each day (tomatoes and either boiled egg, scrambled egg, fried egg, pancake or sausage) together with fruits, yogurts, cereals, toast and contintental bits. This all being said, the food was excellent and you will not go hungry. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to lay out some ham and cheese with lunch and tea so those who do not fancy what has been cooked can have a ham or cheese salad. The only time i saw ham and cheese was at breakfast time.

I have no negative comments about this hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the hotel was always kept clean. The air conditioning was good as were the showers.

At 4.00pm each day there would be freshly cooked biscuits and cakes put out to enjoy with tea/coffee which is available all day.

When it was time to leave we were picked up at 05.30am and the hotel arranged for us to have hot drinks and filled rolls to take with us on our journey.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel and I would not hesitate to return myself or to recommend it to anyone else.

I hope that you find this review helpful but please feel free to contact me if you wish to ask any questions.

We stayed at the Barhar for 2 weeks at the end of July/August. The hotel is very well looked after with very good sized rooms which are very clean. You are given clean towels every day, however bedding only changed weekly unless specially requested. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are air conditioned. Our room had excellent shower facilities in the form of a wet room and the hair dryer was perfectly adequate.

The pool area is comfortable with plenty of sun beds and every day afternoon tea was very welcome. The pool is 'very' well looked after.

The food is excellent! Every day, not only was the breakfast perfectly adequate but at both lunch and dinner a hot, and in our opinion delicious meal was served. The location is perfect with the beach and endless bars/restaurants literally a 30 second walk out of the hotel.

On the beach 2 sun beds and a shade costs 5TL a day (£1.50) and as long as you have your ticket you can move anywhere on the beach...... you can also leave and return as desired.

The staff are very friendly with Ian and Meidi being a credit to the hotel.

We feel that the hotel is not suitable and does not seem to accommodate the facilities that would be desirable for children any older than 5 years.

We had a very enjoyable holiday in a beautiful area. We have been to Turkey several times and there is no doubt that we will return. We also met some fantastic new 'friends'.

A huge thank you to our friendly and extremely helpful rep Samantha.

The hotel was fantastic and really friendly staff always got a lovey smile the food was great apart from the breakfast but apart from that would be more than happy to return to the bahar hotel. The shops are minutes walk and the beach is right outside the hotel which was a two second walk. The light house bar is great it was my favorate bar and there is a plus you get an amazing view of the sun going doin with a beatifull red sky.

I think this part of Turkey is more for couples it's nice and quiet and a great place just to kick back and relax. So over all really happy with our holiday.

great hotel fantastic staff, rooms very clean, great location all you could want from a small hotel that's well maintaned, great pool / pool bar area and the option of the lighthouse bar which is attached to the hotel, in fact what more could you want GREAT FOOD unfortunately not don't get me wrong the food was fresh and prepared daily but the choice of food was not good. I can in fact understand that it is a small hotel with only 33 rooms, but all the guests there at the time of our stay were all english, I would have thought it would have been very easy to ensure that there was some way to make sure that the food was up to scratch, all this said if the food was of a better standard you probably would struggle to get a room as everything else was just about perfect. I often struggle with the fact that you have to stand at the bar to get a drink of water or a coffee not here the water dispences were available at all times, there was also coffee and tea facilities which was great. , if you have children make sure that you take extra money for snacks as you will be guaranteed to need it The over riding impression that this hotel has left if only the food was of a better standard, I would be sitting waiting for my tickets for a return visit. After all this don't be suprised if you do see me again

Room Tip: chose a room on the top floor the views are great
