Well, what a difference after 3 months after staying at the Cenk Bey Hotel and our review of that "Hotel"!
What a revelation, great reception, excellent service at Breakfast and evening meals, at the bar and even the maid service. Friendly staff and residents with comfortable surroundings made the atmosphere warm and inviting! Atmosphere so pleasant and relaxing to talk to other residents in convivial settings with plenty of activities to enhance the stay.
Departure was sad and where else would you have staff to give you a lovely and heart felt send off with the feeling that it wouldn't be long till we returned, which, can't come quick enough!

jusat got back ,hotel looks nice ,rooms are nice ,food was crap and very little choice very poor effort indeed .bar staff ripped my mate off at end of holiday saying he had bought drinks when he hadnt .pool area good close to beach as well but there are much better and cheaper hotels .would rather go back to cenk bey than go here again .owner always hanging around the bar like a bad smell ,i found this very off puttting and he never spoke to guests at all.not very friendly .return transfer was 1 hour late and we asked the man on reception to get us a taxi ,he tried to rip us off as well saying if we gave him the money he would pay the driver .total rip off imo.totally let down by the hotel by this .and will not return .also an old couple got mugged right next to the hotel on the main road by the side of the hotel.would not tell anyone to go here .poor service.poor staff and poor owner.

Arrived in the middle of the night to a mistake in the sleeping arrangements. This was quickly sorted out and off to bed. Only problem with nights was a couple of nights when a generator or something suddenly roared into action about 3 in the morning, otherwise a quiet hotel but then it was out of season. Mixed german and english. Never seemed overcrowded but it was out of season. Only problem is that if a coach of new people arrive the entrance is very small and guests struggle to get in while the party is checking in. Hotel reception has the look of a museum, strange to our eyes as lots of farming equipment but it grows on you! Food is unadventurous but the fresh pancakes and omelettes are nice. (only did breakfast so can't comment on dinner) Loads of places around the hotel to eat out and very good prices. Hotel close to buses and the Sunday market, (well worth a visit and they don't pester you) Home made slush puppies with ice cut from the hills are a novelty! Feithye market on a Tue is huge! Boat trips etc can be booked all over at half the travel company prices and my friend who lives there says most good so worth enquiring, we went on 2 that were good. Hotel staff friendly and helpful if asked. pool very clean. Small area around pool for sunbeds so prehaps crowded in summer but fine while we were there. Overall travelled to this hotel and stayed 2 weeks B&B for less than it would have cost us for 2 flights and transfers. That can't be bad! took £700 for 2 of us for 14 days and managed well so still cheap to.

We glad we picked Harman as our base for 4 nights for our visit to Calis, Fethiye and Oludeniz. The excellent location, just off the main road in Calis was perfect. It was literally a 2 min walk to the main road where one could take the bus to Fethiye (citybus was cheaper than dolmus and came every half hour) or take a right turn to walk towards the lovely Calis Promenade and the water taxi stand for Fethiye.

The staff- right from the managers, Tunas and Murad were extremely helpful and friendly. The cooks, waiters, cleaners- all very friendly and welcoming.

We got a good room- block C. Block A rooms were in the main building and overlooked the bar - so it could noisy after dark. Block B and block C rooms were the best bet. Almost all rooms have a balcony facing the pool and bar area. We went half board and the food was fine. No complains. Wednesday night was Turkish Night where the guests enjoyed barbeque dinner (excellent chicken) and a entertaining turkish dance show. Good stuff!!

You would be hard pressed to find a sunbed if you arrive late as the ones around the immediate pool area would be occupied as early as 7 am-geeez!!

The room was clean, very comfortable and had a balcony facing the pool. Small TV with BBC/CNN was there as well.

Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Harman and would not hesitate to come here again.

Just back from an excellent week at The Harman, 2nd time to Calis, 1st time to this hotel. Rooms were comfortable, clean and ours was quite spacious, loads of hot water only complaint was they don't provide bath mats so when we had a shower we had to put our beach towels on the bathroom floor!!
Breakfast was typically Turkish with excellent pancakes or omelettes every morning.
Only did b and b so can't comment on evening meals. The bar and bar staff were excellent, especially Ferhat, a real gentleman.
All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially Murat and the lady on reception.
The hotel and resort were winding down for the end of the season so it wasn't too busy and never had probs getting a bed by the pool. As the previous post says apparently this was a problem the week before went with certain people reserving 4 or more beds at a time!!!
We had lovely meals out in Georges, Bella mammas, The Nil bar and the highlight of our holiday which was Mozaic Bache in Fethiye. A fabulous lunch and evening meal here, Only Turkish food on the menu and Nichola and Dogan are such a lovely couple.
We loved getting the water taxi into Fethiye, a lovely relaxing way of getting there!
We had a couple of lunches at Gunisic(just over the canal bridge) and also bought a few pastries from the lady with the little cart just before the bridge and would sit and eat these on the seafront!
Love the new wooden decking seating area on the prom, great for sitting and looking at the view!
Again Calis didn't disappoint and we will hopefully return to the Harman.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Harman. Having never been to Turkey before but needing a short relaxing break we could not have selected a better location that Calis Beach and the Harman Hotel in particular. Slightly removed from the beach front (but a hop away from it for dinner) it is a quiet but accessable location. Going slightly out of the peak season too was worth it as we did not experience (as another vacationer put it) "towel-gate" that some others did from previous weeks - plenty of sun loungers for the amount of people staying. All the staff were great, always on hand if we wanted anything (especially the barman (Ferhat) who was patient and friendly even at 2am!!). We opted for bed and breakfast which was tasty and plentiful (Ziki did well with his pancakes) so cannot comment on dinner but there was a decent menu for a lunch time snack. In all, my boyfriend and I were exceedingly impressed by the quality of this hotel and we are already thinking about a return trip. We hope the hotel forever keeps its warmth and charm and does not become too commercialised.

I couldnt understand why there were so many differing views on the Harman but after staying there i now understand.
The staff are all good helpful and friendly and the hotel itself is very nice. Its in a quiet location with about a 5 - 10 minute walk into town depending on your speed.
Downsides are they have a silly rule about taking food and drink into the hotel (but many hotels in Turkey are like that so i've been told) i can understand the rule in public areas such as around the pool etc when they have a bar and do lunches, but not allowing you to take a bottle of water from a supermarket to your room is a bit too repressive. We were stopped at reception for this, but we asked does the hotel sell water for 2.5 lira for 10 litres and the answer is NO its 3 lira for 1.5 ltr bottle. I must admit we and many others ignored this rule which did cause a little friction as you were always looked at suspicously and we felt like children hiding sweets. I think the hotel would do more business in hiring fridges to be honest but thats my opinnion>>>>?.
Also the cost of hiring a Safe deposit box is extortionate 80 lira (about £70) for two weeks. We shared one with friends as i doubt if we would have used it otherwise. Air conditioning is £3 per night which i suppose isnt too bad except the ones we used were only a glorified fan we could not adjust temp at all on either unit to our needs.

There were also issues around the pool but this was down to the guests putting towels out at 5am to get beds and then using them in the afternoon. I'm glad to say the hotel put up a notice after a few complaints and all towels were removed befor 9am if no one was on the beds (WELL DONE HARMAN)

Would i stay there again ? ......Probably not as i think i would go self catering due to the silly food and drink rule. Its my holiday after all and i'm the one paying out the money. If the harman could address this issue i'm sure they would get many more returning guests
