“Small & impressive”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

There are some wonderful old pieces and recent finds (from 2011 excavations). Pieces date from all of Fethiye's inhabitation. It's small so 1 hour is good enough.

“Lovely hidden gem”
Reviewed 22 May 2014 via mobile

Cheap to get in. Hidden away amongst schools and quite small inside. But they pack so many artifacts and so mych information we left very happy. Would recommend visiting after travelling to tlos or xanthos as many artifacts here have been extivated from these ancient sites. Worth a look

“Quite interesting”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

I was totally ignorant to Turkish history before visiting this museum.
I honestly hadn't put much thought into the significance of Turkey's role in some quite significant parts of history, so I am very glad that I went to the museum as one of my first attractions in Fethiye.
It is only a small museum, however there are some very important relics on display. What I also found nice was that many of them were not just positioned behind glass cases which meant that it was possible to get very close and have a good look at the little details of the displays.
My friend and I were the only ones there, which also meant that we could look around at our own leisure and not have to move on in any great hurry.
For 5TL it was a worth while visit.

“Rare trii-lingual stele highlight of this fine museum”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Fethiye Museum contains some outstanding archaeological artifacts from the area, including a fabulous tri-lingual stele from Letoon, which contains Lycian, Greek and Aramaic decrees which allowed the stele to be dated at 338 BC. A bi-lingual stele is also on display. Many lion sculptures are on display.
