This is a really lovely hotel. The location could not be better - the marina is just beautiful, quiet and relaxed, yet you are only a five minute stroll from excellent shopping, restaurants and bars. If you are lucky you might see the loggerhead turtle who lives in the harbour on your way into town! The room was lovely, with the most beautiful view and very comfortable bed. Breakfast served on the rooftop was excellent, perfect poached eggs every time and a great selection from the buffet. Service could not have been better. We stayed half board but only ate there on the first night as we discovered an amazing restaurant in the town which did some of the best food I've ever eaten! But the food we ate at the hotel was delicious and the restaurant setting could not be improved on. Looks like it caters for an older crowd, but that's fine by us! No kids around, no "animation", hurrah! Looked to us to be the best hotel by far in the district. Fethiye is the most lovely wee town and was the perfect base for our holidays, like other reviewers I am almost reluctant to tell others about this great hotel but it really does deserve the best possible review. We will be back soon!

We have stayed at the Ece Saray 3 times now. We wouldn't keep going back if it wasn't so good. We usually like to try new places, but this one is just so dependable for quality and comfort.
I usually book independently, but Anatolia Sky had an offer on of a free upgrade from B&B to half board, and I couldn't better that.
The rooms are very spacious with incredible views over the marina.
This year the buffet dinners were served outside on the waters edge, and that was much better than indoors on previous years. The starters and dessewrts are buffet style and the main course is ordered from the menu and served by the waiters. The service at dinner was far superior to the service at breakfast, where some of the waiters looked and moved as though they should still be in bed !! They are always very friendly and polie though.
The service at the pool bar is a bit slow, but I am really nit picking here !
We spent a couple of afternoons across the bay at Callis Beach. You can either drive or go by water taxi, a 10 minute trip. This place is very much like a traditional English resort in the 1950s. Sunbeds and umberellas at a reasonable price on the beach. A guy coming round selling apple pies, what more could you want ? Plenty of small bars and cafes, but it does feel as though you have stepped back in time......we loved it !
As many people have commented on, the Fish Market is an experience not to be missed. Buy your fish from one of the many stalls and take it to one of the many surrounding restaurants to be cooked and served with salad etc. Great atmosphere too.
I hope too many people don't start going to this area of Turkey as it is still quite unspoiled.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks- the whole experience was fantastic. The hotel is in a superb setting by the marina. At breakfast, taken on the rooftop, you can see right across Fethiye Bay. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was very good. The pool is set up some steps and is large, just the place to relax although the service at the bar and the provision of towels could be improved. The umbrellas needed repair/replacement but it was late in the season. The waiting staff were always cheerful but sometimes struggled at the breakfast service if too many people arrived at once. Would really like to say something negative to keep other visitors away and let the hotel remain our secret but it was such a great holiday you need to stay there if you can. I have never been to a hotel before where everyone said they would return next year.GREAT.

This hotel holiday was booked by friends. We have been to Fethiye before but always on a yacht so this was our first land based holiday in Turkey. The hotel complex was beautiful. Eveything is in very good condition and the pool area is excellent.
Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and the choice & quality is amazing. The main restaurant is in a lovely setting next to the marina. The starters and desserts are buffet style and the main courses are either chosen from a menu or are buffet style with plenty of choice. The young staff try very hard to be efficient and don't always manage to make it. They are however very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble for them.
We were very sorry to leave but after a lovely lunch in the fish market, where you buy your fish & take it to one of the many restaurants around who will cook it for you for 5 TL, we reluctantly made our way home. We will definately return.

For us we are totally perplexed as to why this hotel is not rated No 1 in Fethiye. It is in a totally different class from any of the others in the area. It should be a 5* for sure.
The view out your balcony is of the marina - what a fabulous sound to wake up to, the masts of the super yachts tinkling in the breeze.
We stayed in room 209 which was spacious and really clean. This room looked out straight onto the bar which was quiet and not at all audible from the room. We had a couple of drinks there but it was really pricey so never more than one other person there each night, so totally lacked atmosphere but that was ok as there were plenty at MOD bar and restaurant just round the corner on the marina, or more in the centre.
We were on half board and the meals were varied each night. A buffet style starter and desert. The main course was ordered via the waiter from a choice of 3 or 4. Plenty to eat although the wine was expensive at around 35 lira for the cheapest bottle (14 lira for same bottle in supermarket attached to the hotel). The meals were served by the edge of the marina which was really special.
The pool was nice and clean too, supplied with towels, and they didn't mind if you took food or drink from outside the hotel.
In terms of location it was fine.
All in all a total treasure.

The Ece Saray hotel was a highlight of our week in Fethiye. The exterior was beautiful, the facilities were excellent, the food was amazing and the service impeccable. The infinity pool, the spa and wellness centre were very welcome additions. One of the hotels strengths were the staff, who were helpful to the point of being sycophantic. The food was amazing (we stayed half board). We did eat out in Fethiye, and thought the food at the hotel was better! The rooms weren't especially luxurious but very clean and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and a mini-bar. In terms of location, it is a little out the way if you want restaurants and bars on your doorstep, but a ten minute walk along the marina to get to town is actually a bonus. This was quite simply a fantastic hotel.

Have travelled to Turkey many times and stayed in some great places (particularly in Kalkan) but this hotel has got to be up there with the best of them! The views are superb, whether enjoying a delicious breakfast on the roof terrace or just chilling out in your room after a relaxing day spent by the pool. Dinner each evening was a treat with service and food both excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and we couldn't find any fault during our stay. We really enjoyed our visit and will certainly return!
