The tomb of amyntas (rock tombs) is located on the face of the mountain right at the town. Built in 350BC by the Lycians, the tomb is impressively cut on the rocks.

There are rock tombs scattered all about this area of Turkey and the ones in Fethiye are easily to see and if you are fairly fit you can actually walk right up to them and look inside.

You have to walk there and it's in the mountain but go. It is worth it. The tombs are really impressive and they are old. As are many places in Turkey.

Went on a boat trip to the Mud and Sulpha baths and down the river to the tombs, it's amazing what they could build years ago, fascinating.
