“What a beautiful place to visit.”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

After reading some previous reviews im thinking that some strays from the seedy drunken streets of Magaluf visited thinking it was maybe a strip joint. Its a valley, and a beautiful one at that.
Anyone with the ability to read basic English should have perhaps looked at what Butterfly Valley was all about before making such halfwitted reviews. The campsite is available for should anyone want to stay in this wonderful area. Shame there's not a 10 story All Inclusive for the Magalufians.
Saw many butterflies and lizards, and birds. Very peaceful.
I did manage to get to the higher of the waterfalls by climbing up the rock with the rope.
Incredible views from there.
I read an intelligent blog about Butterfly Valley before i went and he said it reminded him of Jurassic Park. I couldn't agree more. The sea is beautiful and warm too.
Well worth the staggeringly outrageous fee of 5TL (£1.80) LOL

“Cute but few butterflies”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

I can on a boat tour (definitely recommend that). I assumed it was free but there were 2 men at the 'entrance' of a dirt path charging 5 lira and marking down what boat you came from.
Be sure to be quiet and you may see a butterfly or 2. Or a turtle :)

“Hot day = no butterflies”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We arrived at about 1pm - it was boiling hot. We only saw 6 butterflies but they were all of the same variety. We were discouraged to walk up to the waterfall as the "master" guide was not available. They were being extra cautious as someone died the day prior as they tried to climb vertically up some rock face.

It's fine to walk there on your own - just have proper footwear to protect your ankle and look for the Blue dot markers for the correct path. Some rocks ARE slippery. The waterfall was okay and a bit rewarding after walking in the heat.

MUST BRING WATER!!!! and Sunscreen!

“Fairy valley”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

In Butterfly Valley we went by boat from Ölüdeniz early august. We are a family of 2 adults and two children. The trip was wonderful, we visited several beautiful islands. The highlight of the day was a visit to Butterfly Valley. When we arrived to the gulf, our ship had to wait long before they released the anchoring piece. Cove is impossible to moor more than 8 ships. The whole valley is probably the most beautiful when viewed from the sea. Valley was crowded, so it is better to go rocky gorges further from the coast, where not so many people. The walk is pleasant and there are still a lot to admire. Butterflies unfortunately, we have seen a few. If you want to enjoy Butterfly Valley in peace, I recommend arriving outside the high season and especially early in the morning. Certainly it's one of the most beautiful places in the world I've seen.
