What can we say. Fantastic holiday, we were at Majesty Tuana from 1/9/11 for 2 weeks, We stayed in club room 2315 whilst a bit tired it was kept beautifully clean, with shampoo, shower gel and hand wash all supplied and on our anniversary we had a basket off fruit from Jane the Thompson rep and a card plus a bottle of wine and 2 glasses from the hotel plus a card. The food, staff and everything about the place was smashing a very relaxing holiday and 35 degrees every day without a cloud in the sky. My husband loved the self service beer pumps dotted about the resort. You must try the canoing trip through Thompson's, what a laugh well worth the money. Would reccomend it can't wait to go back next year

Room Tip: Take euros as thats what they seem to use more of

Just arrived back from a week in the Majesty.

Rooms - stayed in room 1603 which was a Club room. The room was basic but big enough for two people. The beds were very hard which was a shame because the rest of the room was fine. We paid around £11 for a safe. The mini bar was left untouched as there was a charge for the drinks, a bit silly as everything was all inclusive in the rest of the hotel. We used the fridge to store our water taken from hotel. Showers brilliant and instant hot water throughout day. Hairdrier in bathroom and complimentary toiletries. Air con amazingly quiet too!

The club area was more central and close to restaurant, beach, bars etc. The only problem with this was the disco music that started at midnight until 2am. If you want it really quiet try booking the 'Park' rooms, which are about 10 mins walk away from central area as they will be quieter. They have own small pool also.

the hotel grounds were IMMACULATE, the staff are constantly going around cleaning and tidying, even weeding in groups as there were a lot a grassed areas. Quite a bit of watering at night and in some areas you cant walk on path or you get wet with sprinkler.

Food - Breakfast - Lots of choice inc usual ham and cheeses, yoghurts, cereals (not great quality) hot food ok but not same as English breakfast, except eggs. Fresh bread of different kinds, excellent. Lots of choice of jams/honey etc. I looked forward to having toast and jam and tea for breakfast as dont eat a lot in morning anyway.

Lunch - Served in main restaurant or Majesty bar - from 12 - 2/3pm. There really is a lot of choice for everyone, youre sure to find something to eat! Too many foods to mention, hot and cold. Pizza in Majesty bar most days and doughnuts at 4pm.

Dinner - again, so many choices, something for everyone, too many to mention. Fresh grilled fish is amazing.

Snacks until midnight but we didnt have any as too full from Dinner.

We did go out into Fethiye and Olu Deniz 2/3 nights for a change of food though which sounds strange but the local food is so good and cheap - £20 for starter, main course and drinks for two.

Drinks - Wine - I saw two/three different sorts and you can just take a glass or bottle at lunch or dinner for yourself. Efes beer - dont drink this so cant comment. Also three different sort of cocktails ready made up, was watered down a bit but still ok. There was a separate cocktail bar but you did have to pay for these.

Beach - small, sandy beach but extremely pebbly getting in and out but theres a jetty nearby if you need it to get in and out of water, via ladder. Water lovely and warm.

Sunbeds - could not understand the other reviews saying no sunbeds unless you get up at 6.30am. We could honestly get a sunbed at any time of the day anywhere, and the hotel was definately full, as our rep told us. The main pool area may be difficult to find a bed around but to be honest a few steps back and you could get one! The main pool is massive and although the hotel was busy the pool wasnt. Also used the three water slides which were good fun.

Entertainment - Not our sort of entertainment really. The animation team did work really hard throughout day and night, games etc round pool in day and shows and games etc at night. I think if I went with kids then this would be ok but we went out at night into Fethiye three times on Dolmus (around £2 each, each way). People were playing cards in the bar in evening and we got a bit bored, hence the trips to Fethiye. I think if you were in a family or group you would probably not find it so boring!

Staff - They work very hard, especially in the restaurants and most are students. We didnt find any problem with them , to be honest they all looked quite tired. I spoke to one of them and he did split shifts from 10-3 then 6-midnight. Reception staff did seem a bit surly until you spoke to them then they seemed to smile a bit more! I think if you make an effort with the staff they will make an effort with you. Language was not a problem and we could always make ourselves understood.

I have no complains at all, we both enjoyed a relaxing holiday and nice that we could just chill out all week.

Would recommend to families and couples and you have a choice whether or not to join in activities, of which there are many (football, archery, bowls, etc in other parts of hotel) or just relax and do nothing. Great hotel!!

Room Tip: Club rooms best to be nearer facilities, or Park rooms are quieter.

Having followed all reviews since time of booking last year up until we went there, it was with a bit of mixed feelings, but we were more than pleanstly surprised!!!
This was our 6th holiday to Turkey, 3rd time going A.I but 1st time in fethiye, and this was without a doubt the best one yet!!!
Having been to Turkey many times, I am fully aware of the difference between UK/other EU star ratings of hotels and that of Turkish ratings, you have to deduct a star sometimes two, but I can honestly say that when it comes to the standard of hygiene, the Turkish will beat most other countries by a mile!
As a lot of the other great reviews have already said what I wanted too I'll just do a quick rundown of our experience at this hotel.
After arriving at Dalaman airport just abot midnight, we made our way to the waiting minibus for the transfer to the hotel, as there was only one other party of 5 in the same coach we soon got on our way to the 1st stop wich luckily was our hotel, transfer only took 45min. We arrived at the hotel at 1am and the Thomas Cook rep went into reception to let them know of our arrival while the driver got our luggage of the coach, passing the rep on our entry into reception we were informed just to go to desk and everthing would be taking care of. The guy at reception gave us a form to fill out and offered us a drink which was nice since tempature was still 27c at this time. Completing form only took couple of minutes, we were then handed us our room key, towel card and a map of the resort (this is very useful for the first couple of days to find your way round the huge resort), after which our luggage and ourselfs were taking for a 2 min ride by buggy to our room (Park 1, block 2500, room 2508). The porter took our luggage up to the room on the 2nd floor (had requested a high fllor and got it), then showed us how aircon worked and left with a big smile on his face after giving him a tip of 10 Lira (around £4), a lot of money to him no doubt. As it was very late we just had a quick look about the room, which by the way was huge for 3 people and had not 1 but 2 balconies, then went to bed and had fab sleep, beds not hard at all.
Next morning we had a better look about the room and found the bathroom with corner shower absolutely spotless, all tile grout was pure white not a hint of dirt anywhere, again bathroom was huge. The actual room had a double bed and a huge single bed for our 13yr old, plenty of floor space and best of all two big wardrobes, this is 1st time we have been able to totally unpack our suitcases for a two week holiday, just another bonus!
We never had a problem getting a sunbed, although if you wanted to go to the main pool you did have to get up a bit earlier, but we went down to our Park pool which was right outside our block and got sunbeds at 11am on most days, sunbeds on the beach were not a problem either.
At mealtimes we always got a table straight away no matter what time we got there. The food was delicious and plentiful, very well cooked and extremly tasty, some of the wine was not to my taste but just learned to avoid it, plenty of other choices. Barrstaff were nice, although I would say service at the Majesty bar was slightly better than others. Fridges everywhere filled with water, a little tip for your minibar in room; put a note on it not to be refilled and all you need to do it stock it with before mentioned water and cans or bottles of beer from any of the bars (pool and majesty are best). Entertainment was ok if not good, considering these people were hotel emplyees and not professional entertainers we thought they did a great job, and yes if you stay for two weeks like us you will see a repeat the second week but still entertaining! Can't comment on the kids club as our 13yr old did not attend but kids seem to be having lots of fun and a full program everyday.
As I said earlier I was giving a quick rundown but as you can see this is very hard as there are so many good things to say about this place, if I was to say anything negative it would be the location, there is nothing around for miles, but already knowing this before we went it was no surprise and for us not a problem at all as there is plenty to keep you busy even for two weeks at this place. We came home determinate to book for next year but unfortunately it had already sold out for the same two weeks for next year, hopefully we will be back in 2013, can't wait!
Lastly, a big thank you to our Thomas Cook rep Whoopi who is fantastic, having been a rep at the hotel for many years she has all the info and knowledge you could possibly want or need and is more than willing to share, thanks Whoopi for making our stay the best yet and hope to see you in 2013 :-)

Just to keep the people at Trip advisor happy I've been instructed to write a fair non prejudice review. So here goes. I am a single father with an 8 year old son and I found this holiday very amicable. On arrival you are greeted very well but maybe had I been greeted by someone who wasn't fell well I might have a different experience. Anyway you don't go into reception ever, only when you arrive and when you leave so no problem there. I'm used to very up market resorts but had to consider my son who needs child friendly clubs and although there was a kids club it only caters for the 3-9 year olds. There are 2 sections younger kids and older kids. As my son is 8 he went with the older section and done a few activities. But I think overall the kids club could be improved a lot. The rooms were small but adequate, don't fuss over the rooms it's not worth it. You're outside most of the day anyway. The pool is fine and as we only used the main pool I thought that was okay. Apparently there are 2 others but I never went to them. Food, well 3/5 because although you do get a lot of it, you do get tired of it and crave for something different like a curry or bacon sandwich but as you know it's a muslim country and you've got no hope. The staff are only friendly once they get to know you and that can take up to a week or 10 days before you get a smile out of them. The beach grey and stoney and major disappointment, and the sea is murky. But if you go out on the various pay as you go trips you do see better clearer sea. Snorkel trip advised, diving advised, para sailing advised. Lots of Russians who are not rude at all, and don't push in at dinner. In fact I think they have more class than some of the Brits that were there, but that's just a personal view (okay Trip advisor). Everyone is well behaved apart from one stupid teenager that got drunk one night and wanted to fight everyone but that really was a one off. Teenagers go to the late night disco which is safe and fun. Children between the ages of 10-15 are left to there own devices as nothing is laid on for this age group. So you might want to bring these kids with their friends or try and set them up with friends in the complex. Drinks are not the real mcCoy as I had loads of Jim Beam with coke every night and failed to get drunk. But then I found the main internal bar with bottled beer which was far more potent than their draft rubbish. Only the usual sweet drinks and slushes for the kids so watch their teeth drop out by the end of your trip. As you can see I gave it 4 starts but that was only because my son enjoyed it. If I was in a couple situation I would not have been happy. The complex just lakes class and style and the bar staff can't speak English which is another disappointment. But in about 5 years or so Turkey will catch up with the language issue. Very clean grounds. Miserable Internet and games room man, but that was just him. Very few ethnic minorities, which is a shame. Entertainment was okay but not brilliant. Although on one night it was brilliant, and that was the balloon over the head show. Book at the Turkish restaurant a must. Book a Turkish bath a must with a full body massage. But do bother with the Tuesday market apparently that is a chore. Okay Trip advisor!

First, some reviews seem to compare this hotel with a 'Travelodge', if you looked at how much you paid for the accommodation you’re paying less a night than an equivalent ‘Travelodge’ in London. All hotels in Turkey seem to be rated 5 stars, don’t compare it to the Ritz, you’re not paying their prices.

After reading some of the reviews I was very wary when arriving at this hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere; if you expect to walk outside of the hotel, forget it. On arrival we were told that we would have to ‘change rooms’ after one night, which seems to be a common occurrence. We were given a large family room just outside the main restaurant. When I went back the next day I was told I could keep the room, which wasn’t bad, as we’d paid a fairly low price for a ‘room’ of unknown location. Room was fine, it contained a fridge (filled once, bottles and cans are available everywhere, just restock it yourself), safe (14Eur for the week), enough storage space and probably the world’s smallest balcony, it was only really good for drying towels on. The walls are paper thin, I could hear next door snoring and using the loo.

The staff are all very pleasant, they work very long shifts but still maintain to be civil when the Eastern block clientele treat them like dirt. I found a smile went an awful long way.

We spent most of our days at park two, as it had it’s own snack bar and pool. It also had no loud music. There was no problem getting a sunbed in our ‘usual spot’ everyday, and we didn’t arrive until at least 10.

At the bars you can help yourself to beer on tap and water straight out of the fridge. There’s also various food available ranging from cakes to burgers.

The main restaurant is very large; it’s all buffet style. They only lay the first service and clear away the plates. This seems to be a major complaint, but I don’t think anyone’s world will end if you have to grab a knife and fork with your plate. The procedure is to grab a bottle of wine and glasses (there are bottles at the entrance) find a free table and plonk them down, and then go get your food. We always found the plates were cleared away quickly. Food verity is probably better here than almost any other all-inclusive we’ve been to, it changed daily. There were staples of chips and pasta everyday, but there was always fresh fish and a verity of ‘mains’ to suit all tastes. There was also a good selection of deserts and cheeses (loses points for not having any crackers). We didn’t get any bad tummies or other problems. Food was always hot if you got it straight off the grills that there were lots of.

We tried the Turkish restaurant. Twice as it happens, the first time was rudely interrupted by a thunderstorm and we all had to take cover (oddly everyone still managed to grab their wine bottles and huddle in a small room at the back), the staff worked really well to make sure everyone was accommodated. We were pleased that we returned, as the food was very good and all cooked on an open grill.

I don’t think the main bar ever closed, we certainly never had to queue more than a couple of minutes to get a drink and it was all decent stuff. I’m not sure if any of the barmen knew what a single measure was, as you always seemed to get half a bottle of spirits in the glass.

We didn’t partake in any of the activities as it’s not really our thing, but we could see the Animation Team working hard all day long if you wanted it. The evening shows are very cheesy, but you have to take them like that. I fail to see how anyone couldn’t be amused by a ‘Roman’ stuck in a podium doing the ‘crazy frog’ song as an intermission during the musicals show.

Overall, for the money, found it a perfectly nice place to spend a week and relax. If you go with the view that you won’t get a personal butler to wipe your bum you will have a very good time.

Room Tip: The club rooms are nearer to the action, but park rooms are quieter. It only takes a few minutes to...
