Reviewed 29 September 2009

Having read the numerous comments on this hotel, we booked with some reservation via Thomas Cook on the internet.
Let us first say that we travelled 14-28th August 2009, our second trip to Turkey, our first was Marmaris.
Club Tuana Park is..
A massive complex over three areas, and we expect still expanding..
Very very clean
Rooms are excellent, best if you can get no3000+ as out of way, but we were in 1000 block no probs, and good views of gardens.
Excellent staff, animation team, and chefs etc.
Food is as you would expect from what we rate as a 4 star accomodation, available from 7:30 til12, huge choice, all good, freshly cooked, large selection and a delight. Childrens and English food also on offer, and just as good.
The English out numbered the Germans, as the resort has evolved, say no more and the Russians friendly and polite.
No where was crowded, including the huge main pool, so an easy break..
The specialist restaurants need booking one day in advance, no probs, but all food is available anyway, just self serve, but recommended for the service, and is included.
We seriously could keep on giving excellent reports on Tuana, but there are a few drawbacks to consider.
Firstly, Tuana Park IS in the middle of no where, Fethiye is 40 odd minutes away by taxi, 65 Euros return, but you keep him all trip. You have water taxis from the pier at 15 Euros each return on market days etc, worth it as quick. And the bus service is really efficient, every 1/2 hour, aircon and good, and best way to get out of the resort, if you like seeing a country, walking round shops, cafes etc, if not this resort scores 100% if you just want to chill by a pool with a beer etc.
Secondly, the beach is man made, dark sand and as you get to the sea edge steep incline with large pebbles. The access to the sea is from the pier, with gentle sloping steps, so no probs if you are a swimmer or just want a dip, and it is sandy once you are out a few meters, but 1.5 meters deep to a diving depth at the end.
Finally,
All ages of children are very well catered for by the animation team all day, with endless things to do, if you can drag them out of the pools (5), their shows at 9.30pm are worth it, and were not repeated for the fortnight.
Our overall report is this is a very nice place to stay you wont get much better in Turkey on a complex.
And our holiday tip is.. Go to Fethiye market on your first Tuesday, take all leaflets handed to you. These are the same tour trips at a fraction of the cost, they will pick you up and drop you off too and is included in their prices, and everyone speaks English.
We recomend, going via locals, 12 Island trip, mud baths,Turtle beach, Tlos and Skillekent, Fethiye market (it is hot) the village and harbour.
Do enjoy, we certainly did.
NB: Marmaris is now comercialised, eg, Blackpool with sun!!

We enjoyed our 5 nights overall, however I think some of the other reviews are a little misleading. I am writing this just to give a more balanced review

The Good
Lovely big clean pool
Large variety of food - something for everyone
Lots of activities and entertainment
Good quiet air con in rooms and good shower pressure in bathrooms
Lovely scenery from the beach
Fridges full of water and beer you can help yourself to (and top up your mini bar with) all day.

The not so good
Rooms are really basic with push together single beds and rubbish bedding that gets all tangled up when you sleep.
The balconies are tiny and only good for drying your swimming stuff on.
The beach was really busy even at the end of September. All the sunbeds are under one massive cover for shade, so its a bit claustrophobic. (the pool area was also very busy). Also you need to get your sunbeds early because if you wait until after 9am you will find it very difficult to find one at all.
Lots of stones in the sea and at waters edge ( I think they clean the beach of stones on a daily basis) so a bit painful on the feet when getting in and out.
If you are going for the water sports just remember anything motorised is at an extra cost. There are some windsurfs and pedalos but I didn't see any sailing boats.

The Bad
The wine is pretty undrinkable despite numerous attempts and the gin and tonic is not gin or tonic (I did manage to drink the beer, vodka and tomato juice and the creme liquor though)
There is a mad dog that barked through the night and occasionally was joined in song by the resident cockerel - not one good nights sleep unfortunately.

Overall we enjoyed the holiday, we ate, drank and relaxed plenty and thought it was good value for money. It is a fun place for a holiday but not if you want any of the following : peace and quite (lots of music and games around the pool area)
Luxury food, wine, or accommodation
White sandy beaches
Night life

It is good hotel for a good value getaway and for families.

Just had 1wk all inclusive with my partner, 3year old and 6 month old baby. We wanted 1 wk to do nothing and relax - hotel great for this as you are not walking distance to town etc. so we were not tempted to go anywhere (which is what we wanted out of this holiday). We stayed in the main block (not park 1 or 2) and were pleased with the rooms location - few mins walk from main pool/restaurnt/beach etc. which is great when you have small kids and pop back several times a day. We were very pleased with the food, and we are quite fussy about our food - you have lots of choice at breakfast/lunch/dinner - those that have complained are crazy! we had great local dishes every day, and if you are fussy then there is a great salad bar, always pasta, and fresh fish or meat of some sort - so something to suit everybody. Kids club staff were our only complaint - we did not intend to leave our daughter with the kids club, but wanted to pop in from time to time to let her see/join in the activities. Staff are rude, unwelcoming and basically do not want you there or your kids - looks like they want to sit back and chat all day! Plus they charge you for activities! We sat our little girl down to do painting and then were asked to pay for it! was something like 7 euros! We did not pay and left - what is the point of a kids club if you charge them to do painting!. We did book her on for horse riding which i totally accept is payable - this was a nice little trip out for her (with us in tow - which annoyed the staff again!). but i was not about to let my 3yr old go off without us. The night time entertainment is neither great nor bad - have a few local drinks and it actually becomes funny - dont have high expectations and you'll be pleasantly surprised. The night time disco for 20mins for the little ones was great again for our 3yr old. She made so many friends and so did we - this is what reallly made our holiday so amazing - meeting other great parents and kids. Hotel rooms are fine, nothing fancy but not bad either. Beach is nothing to get excitied about but the jetty out to sea with sun loungers on is quite nice and novel. Day time activities by the pool are quite fun to watch and no pressure to get involed. My partner and I both used the spa and had massages and turkish baths. I do not want to go into too much detail, but I had a massage by a lady and then another by a man, and the massage by the man was very different and some what intrusive! I have felt very uncomfortable about it and was very close to complaining about it but i actually felt un easy about talking about it - so i would just reccommend having a lady massage you if you are a woman yourself, i felt a bit violated after!
Overall we had a fab relaxing holiday, due to a nice hotel with good facilities, pools and food but also because we met so many nice people.

Club Tuana was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and the quality of the entertainment (and entertainment staff) was the thing that made the entire trip. Nightly shows with catchy music, talented dancing and a variety of themes were an absolute highlight, and the animators were the most wonderful people. The hotel itself was spacious and pretty with three pools and flowers everywhere. The food was varied and allowed me to try out Turkish food. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone, and would definitely say it was the holiday of a lifetime.
Special thanks to animators Semih, Zaferinho, Ender and Serhat for making my holiday truly memorable. I miss you guys.

Very good hotel, worth all the money paid. The most beautiful is the large park of palms and other exotic trees, everywhere flowers, there is even a small pond with ducks. Interesting and good to see is their efforts to entertain their guests. They have a real and big team of entertainers; morning, midday, evenings, there is something for everybody to do and enjoy. Staff with key roles amazingly knows 4 languages. Everything happening is well organised. Even though luxury is not obvious, you can notice all flooring is made of pink marble... A little thing I would advise: at the gym the running machines are pretty old with limited speed (and only 2), they can do better.

We travel all over the world on a regular basis and usually avoid visiting the same place again, but we always make sure that we visit Tuana at least once a year (just come back from our 6th visit since 2005!), and it just keeps getting better and better every time.....!

Don't be put off in the slightest by any of the 'negative' reviews you may have read about Tuana unless of course you particularly want to stay in a purely 'British' hotel (if you want Blackpool, go to Blackpool as they say.....!). Here there is a lovely mixture of nationalities with no one nation monopolising-the balance is just right, and it is nice to meet people from other nations in the lovely relaxed atmosphere that prevails at Tuana. This is not to say that it is quiet-far from it, there is truly something for everyone here as you can read in many other reviews.....

To try to be brief (!)-the rooms are spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the complex, and it is a fact that wherever in the complex you are, and at whatever time of day it may be, you can always spot a staff member endeavouring to keep the hotel clean and tidy in some way. Everything that one should need on a holiday of this type is catered for-excellent food to suit all palates (served in 1 main restaurant with the opportunity to book into 3 other, smaller a-la-carte venues on a 'reservation the day before' basis), drinks of all types in abundance, fantastic, helpful, friendly staff, lovely peaceful beachfront location with spectacular views and sunsets, but with easy access to Fethiye town and further if required, great sporting facilities, and, last but not in any way least, what must be the BEST Animation Team anywhere!!!

This group of people (also of mixed nationalities) deserve special mention as they, as far as we are concerned, make a visit to Tuana a truly special one. The work they all put in to try to ensure everyone has a memorable time is breathtaking, from running the daytime activities, to the evening shows they stage in the purpose built amphitheatre, they never seen to stop, and they all should be admired/rewarded for it. We have never met a more dedicated and friendly group of people, and despite their heavy workload they are always smiling , jovial, and willing to chat if time permits-in a word 'awesome'!

To sum up-What more could anyone want-the perfect place for the perfect holiday-Go on give it a try-you know you want to....!!!

We will take this opportunity to thank Levent, Ahmet, Yilmaz, Semih, Stevi, Serhat, Mehmet, Zafer, Cem, and ALL the res of the teamt for yet another fantastic holiday-watch out Jack Sparrow and Lorna will be back from the Carribean for more soon...lol!!!
