“Great hotel. beautiful views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2010

Went here for 2 weeks at the end of August, really lovely welcome from Eyelem, we had a corner room with great views of Fethiye, there was a wedding on when we stayed there and to say that the hotel looked magical was an understatement, Really friendly staff, I left my washing soaking in the bath one day and when i came back the cleaner had washed it all and hung it out for me. The owners could be a bit cheerier, they always looked glum and i think they should remember that we have paid to stay there but it s a small gripe, The hotel has a perfect location and the taxi boat to Fethiye is about a 3 minute walk, Have already book flight and hotel for next year and counting the days already.

This was our first trip to Turkey, and if this hotel is anything to go buy we will certainly return, Tha staff Yaz, sean, maid(didnt get her name) and of course the wonderfull Eylem in reception, without her help and advise we would not have done or experinenced half of what we did.The resort was very quiet, due to time of year but that suited my husband and i fine, there are many restraunts to choose from, one favorite was Bostans along the front, the food was great and Ali the waiter is a great character.
We went to the fish market in Fetthiye, you but the fish and one of the surrouding restraunts will cook it as you like, great value for money and very fresh.

We read reviews before booking this hotel and they were justified in giving this hotel full marks - the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite small but very clean and we were given a balcony overlooking the sea. The location is excellent, close to the water taxi and the food in the evenings was brilliant, we were B&B but ate in hotel for 3 nights. Calis beach is lovely location, good choice of restaurants, quiet resort and the location of the hotel is excellent. Most of the other visitors in the hotel had been coming back for years and years.

I travelled to Hotel Mutlu with my husband and friends from the 27th September to 12th October 2010 and what a fantastic time we had. Being our first time in Turkey we were a little hesitant about what to expect but we need not have worried. "Mutlu" we learnt means "happy" and the hotel certainly does live up to its name! After reading some recent reviews of this hotel before our departure I had started to worry a little but needn't have wasted the time doing so! This hotel is a gem. It is in a great location, yards from a shingle beach which stretches for miles and never got crowded with ample sunbeds and parasols for hire. At the back of the hotel are water taxis to take you back and forth to Fethiye if you so wish and Calis itself has lots of good restaurants for you to choose a good meal both on the promenade area and in the centre of Calis itself away from the "main area". The local Dolmus runs right by the hotel and these seem to take you everywhere you may wish to go although you may have to occasionally change dependant upon where you are going. The hotel itself is "spotless" and the cleaners really do a fantastic job in keeping the main areas of the hotel and the rooms themselves really clean and tiday. We had front facing rooms towards the sea and had spectacular views and the sunsets here are not to be missed. They are fantastic! The hotel staff are really friendly and nobody can do enough for you. A particular asset to the Hotel Mutlu is a waiter called Himmet or "Sean" as he calls himself. He is very attentive, polite and can't help you enough both with information about the hotel and the surrounding area and Turkey generally. His English is good both verbal and written and he is a lovely person to be around and to chat to. Eylem the receptionist is also a little star and she will do her utmost to help you with anything and answer any questions you may have. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and the pool is kept really clean as well and the surrounding area to the pool. I do not understand why people have recently complained about things like fruit juice being charged for at breakfast as we certainly were not charged for the same. The breakfast provided is brilliant and goes far beyond what you normally get in Turkey. There are cereals, fruit (fresh and dried) meats, cheese, olives, toast, jams, honey, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelettes freshly cooked every other day out on the terrace area in front of you or fried eggs if you wish, We took our own teabags however and were glad we did so - so that's just a little tip for anyone wanting a "proper" cuppa with their breakfast!! The hotel serves lovely meals of an evening and also the hotel bar is only about 1lira more expensive than the rest of the bars/restaurants in Calis and so, again, I cannot understand why people have complained that it is so expensive - although if they have kept returning perhaps they have noticed an increase in prices which we were told has happened this year in Turkey although it is still far cheaper than the Euro. People seem to return here year after year and I can see why. The other guests we encountered were also lovely and we made some lovely friends from our stay. For our first time in Turkey this was a great start and we will definitely be coming back not only to Turkey but to the Hotel Mutlu - this is the first hotel we have ever stayed in where the receptionist comes out to give you a hug on the transfer bus back to the Airport!!

After many visits to turkey over the years we decided to go to calis beach, Had a look
on the holiday reviews and decided on the MUTLU HOTEL , what a good choice this
turned out to be , lovely grounds , very good choice at breakfast including omelettes every
couple of days, very friendly staff none more so than eylem in the reception and sometimes in the bar, she always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Will
definitely be going back. Most of the guests had been there before, some twice a year
for many years.

Just come back from our second visit at the Mutlu Beach Hotel. It was Fantastic. The hotel is in a prime location with great views. The staff are attentive & friendly and Eylem the receptionist is the " Jewel in their Crown" she is totally wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. One half of us as a couple is disabled with special needs and they do everything they can to make your stay as perfect as it can be. I would reccoment this hotel to anyone without hesitation. We have re-booked and will be going again.

Stayed 2 weeks. Could not fault the Hotel in any way. Better than many 5 star hotels but at a very affordable rate. Only stayed bed & breakfast, so can not comment on evening meal.
Staff were excellant!
Eating out in Callis Beach was good apart from last day when we both had a very bad meal (I had pasta, my wife had fish). at the ER-OZ restaurant. We complained but were not allowed to leave the Restaurant until we had paid for the meal.
