era hotel is a small friendly hotel i would say it is more suited to the older guest definatley not for families with young children. The owners are friendly and the rooms are small and clean sheets and towels get changed every couple of days. Now for my issues.......when at the pool if my grandson needed to use the toilet he had to run to the room as there are no outside facilities and being a 5year old it did get annoying ....also you are definately not allowed to bring anything like water, coke ,crisps etc, into the hotel or you incur hotel era charges which are quite pricey in hotel water is 2.25 lira you can buy the same size water in local shops for.75 lira.......it did not stop us enjoying our 2 wk stay but if i take children i would think about going self catering

We have had since 2001 3 holidays and we have always gone to the same hotel - HOTEL ERA, Ergun is great he does not force you to spend time at the hotel and will offer fresh meals at anytime of the day. His prices are fantastic and the food and service is excellent.

We would not go anywhere else and are treated the same as all other guests with politeness and courtesy.

The rooms are immaculate, they have air conditioning, the pool is very clean and a great size, the bar area is in the shade and he has a well stocked bar at good prices.

It has always been great value and you are treated like a member of the family.

He will arrange airport pick ups on request, give him a call or visit his site. hoteleraturkey dot com.........

Set back in the stunning mountain range in Ovacik, about a ten minute
walk from the village of Hisanarou. Although the hotel is very basic,
it is spotlessly clean and was adequate for my needs. It is only small and has only 21 rooms, so no fighting for a lounger here, alot of the time only a few people were around the pool at once and alot of the time you could have the pool to your self. The management are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is continental and adequate, but the evening meals could be improved.
However overall the setting, the owners of the hotel make up for it and it is somewhere where you could definitley relax and chill.

Hotel Era is very basic but has everything that you need for a very relaxing stay. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the showers in the bathrooms are nice and powerful. As it is such a small hotel you can always guarentee that you will get a sunbed by the pool and you will often have the pool all to yourself! The food is OK and not too expensive, and the drinks are also quite reasonable. The hotel is a bit out of the way so you will need to use taxi's to go out in the evenings (you can walk down the hill to the main shopping area/bars but it is a bit of a trek back up!) but the taxis are pretty cheap so it doesn't cut into your budget too much! The owners and staff are lovely and they will do just about anything for you. Would definatley return for a quiet week away in the sun. Just one tip - ask for a room on the top floor as the lower floors can be a bit noisy!
