The hotel is practically empty. I ended up with a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. My room was very large with a balcony (if the hotel was crowded, it was probably very unlikely that I would have gotten this room as it could sleep 3 people). The walk into town is about 10-15 minutes. I ended up eating dinner at the hotel and it was lovely. The staff was very nice... perhaps a tad overly friendly, but nothing to get concerned about. My shower was inoperable as it was under construction? I simply went into one of the other open rooms to use the shower. Not sure if its end of season, but it was a little dusty and everyone working here seemed a bit tired. The internet in the lobby was great; however because everyone smokes so many cigarettes, it became difficult to sit there too long. In the morning, the lobby reminded me of a frat house the day after a night of boozing and video games... Anyhow, for 1 night, this was perfect for what I needed. If you are a solo traveler, this is a friendly place and it's pretty easy to meet people. If you are spending multiple days in town, there are other options I would check out that are closer to town. Also, renting apts in the area apparently is popular, reasonable and you are likely to end up with a very nice place.

Had booked V-Gos guesthouse through their agency on the internet well in advance. They didn't tell me that there was no availability in the guesthouse for my first night, and I ended up in the same company's 'hotel' in the centre of Fethiye (Otel Dereoglu) very late in the evening of my arrival - too late to be tramping the streets looking for an alternative.
This was my most miserable hotel experience ever. This hotel is geared mainly to Turkish business people, there is no atmosphere at all, and definitely no concept of service.
Surly receptionist, no information about services (maybe because there weren't any!) Breakfast - wish I could have videoed it - straight out of Fawlty Towers. Scruffy terrace, and after 15 minutes, no food left, and waiter dozing in corner, impervious to all demands.

Message to V-Gos: put your overspill guests in this hotel, & they will never
come back!

The staff at the Guesthouse are pleasant enough, but not really interested in helping anyone over 25 and not blonde or Australian, and, more seriously, not numerate. I was overcharged by 100 % - not because they were trying to cheat me, but because they just can't add up properly. Always ask for a written bill.

It's a shame, because it could be a good place, with better management and some female staff.

Jehan

Stayed at the V-Go for one night. This hostel is in a great location with an beautiful view. We had a room on the upper floor with a view of the swimming pool. The room was large and very clean. Arrived late so did not have a chance to visit the town or any attractions. The breakfast was serviced on the terrace and had a nice selection. Went on a Blue Cruise with V-Go travel, which was an unbelievable experience.Highly recommed.

Wow, wish I could have stayed 2 nights. Stunning setting, swimming pool, village close by, walks along the mountainside. Great place.

V-GO is a great hostel to stay in. It has a friendly bar with friendly service, medium sized pool with lots of loungers, and although about a 10 minute walk from town it has good ocean views.

The rooms are very large, but a bit dated... everything was clean though and management was helpful. If you a looking for a budget option, this is a very good choice.

This hostel was a pleasant find. Staff very friendly and a lot of fun. Not really in the centre of town but the dolmus ride to town went every 5 minutes and it only takes a couple of minutes to get there. To walk only 10-15 mins.

BBQ dinner (fish especially was excellent). Breakfasts also good.

The view from the hotel is amazing, what a fabulous spot and defiietley preferable to staying in the centre of town.

Amazing clean pool, great for relaxation

I was originally intending to stay one night in this place but ended up staying 5. The people are cheerful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. They have great advice about the area and what to do. The location is great, not far from town with excellent views. They have a swimming pool and they have excellent food as well. I thoroughly recommend it.
