Sailor's Pub is one of the lesser known restaurants in Gocek as it is located within the Port Gocek marina and not in the village centre. A shame because it's only a few minutes walk from the village centre, the food is fantastic, the service is great and the atmosphere set within the marina with seating on the terrace or in the garden is lovely. Among the starters there are some nice salads and the fried halumi cheese served with bread and an olive tapenade is a must try. The varied menu of main courses includes local as well as international dishes. The steaks are the best in Gocek. Tender and very generously sized. They come with a royal portion of cooked vegetables and tasty fries. Another nice main course is the yogurt kebab. Save some space for dessert because the chocolate souffle is just divine. The restaurant is run by the owner and his wife who serve their customers together with a few waiters. By being there all the time they ensure their customers get great service and quality food. The only critique I could give is that the wine list is a bit on the expensive side compared with other restaurants in Gocek, but in return you can choose from a selection of great local wines you don't find anywhere else in the village. We have a summer house in Gocek and have spent the last 7 summer holidays here. Sailor's Pub has become one of our favourite restaurants and I warmly recommend it.
