This is one of the newer restaurants in Gocek and we tried it out with my family, parents and in-laws last night. The setting is very nice with a private swimming pool, sun loungers and a well-stocked bar. The restaurant setting itself is less attractive with metal garden chairs and a concrete untilled floor. The view of the harbour and Marinturk marina is nice though. The staff was very attentive and competent, really friendly. The menu is not exactly what you expect from a Turkish restaurant. With all sorts of pizzas and pastas on the menu, as well as dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala, it is clearly targeting the foreign tourist. Nothing wrong about that and a couple of people in our party ordered the Chicken tikka and spoke highly of it. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for all things we ordered. The cook has the annoying tendency of overcooking food to the point where it no longer has any taste. The stuffed mushrooms we ordered among our starters had been in the oven so long that all the cheese had dried out and had no taste. The lamb chops one of us ordered had been on the grill way too long and were dried out. The two steaks we ordered as "medium" came extremely well cooked. The potato gratin that accompanied the steaks would have been very nice if it hadn't been cold. The restaurant is reasonably priced and does have a good selection of local wines. Can become a nice place to go to if they send the cook to cooking school this winter.
