We stayed here for just one day with my Mother who is 78 before dripping her off at the airport. We all loved the hotel and the service from the staff. They really could not have gone out of their way anymore to make sure our stay was perfect.
We had late night drinks beside the pool which was fairly priced. The breakfast (again beside the pool) the following morning was very good; breads, jams, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, fruit plate and fresh eggs. After breakfast we were offered Turkish coffee by the owner which was the nicest I have had in a long time.
We stayed in the family loft room which was single room with a TV and fridge and large balcony next door to a double room with an ensure wet room. I think the hotel owners are missing a treat by not putting out a couple of small chairs and table onto the balcony as it had a lovely view and maybe moving the bed away from the balcony door.
We asked to see the hotels more usual double rooms which were so nice...that we will book them for our return trip next September.
The location was no more than a five minute walk to the harbour and village centre.
We did not use the pool but it was crystal clear and had some nice sun beds around it.
Overall a lovely small hotel with perhaps about ten rooms.

As part of a trip with friends we stayed one night in this small family-run hotel in Göcek. While apparently only one person speaks English, the hospitality and friendliness we encountered could not have been any better and we thoroughly enjoyed the rich Turkish breakfast beside the pool. Our room was large and comfortable and somewhere among the hundreds of TV channels one could even find some English speaking ones (we did not bother much). Should we ever come back to stay in Göcek, we'd happily stay again at this hotel. Within its moderate price range, this stay was close to perfection.

On our recent travel in Turkey, A Stealing Incident happened to us while we were staying in Kybele Otel in Gocek, Turkey from 17th of Sep till 26th of Sep. Our huge amount of money got stolen in our room while we were out to the beach on Sunday, 22nd of Sep. But this case still left a distinctly sour taste in the mouth. Yet what stays in my mind is the sharp contrast between the way that the senior staff ( the only housekeeper) dealt with the situations.

Kybele Otel is a very small hotel which is run by a couple, Gursu Kocar and his wife. There is only one housekeeper who has been working with them for 6 years working there as their senior staff.

We stayed in a small guest house with no safe storage facilities in Kybele Otel, Gocek Turkey. On Sunday, 22nd of Sep, we went to the beach so that we left our money in the room. When we came back, our room had been cleaned, but we didn't have any doubt that our money would be stolen. So, the next morning after breakfast, when I walked into my room to get some money for going to the bank to exchange it, then I noticed that our huge amount of money had been missing. I called the owner and explained to him the situation. Just to mentioned that on the previous day we had left our key at the reception for going to the beach and no one else was staying at the hotel that day, except the owner, his wife and the housekeeper, and specifically on that day our room was made by the housekeeper.

We made sure that the owner would help us call the police. However, when the police came, they didn't seem to care about our situation, but just only kept asking us if we forgot where we left our money and not even thinking to investigate the owner and his employees as well. The detective who spoke english didn't even go up to our room to check where we kept the money. In the end, the police only took us back to the police and make our reports.

After that, the owner refused to take any responsibility every time we discussed that he has to because this happened at his hotel, but then he said everyone believes in Allah here, and his family didn't take it and he won't pressure the housekeeper. However, he just asked her once and the housekeeper had denied taking anything, and the owner seemed not want to look into this case, just told us that without proof, they could not accuse her of it.
In addition, he doesn't have any security cameras installed in the hotel and he ensured us that no one could enter the room which makes it so obvious that the housekeeper took it.

We have made contact with our embassy and now they are handling the situation at the moment.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Kybele Otel. A small hotel with all the facilities you could want, we had a suite with a living area and a private terrace, the substantial turkish breakfast was a great start to each day.
A great hotel, ideally located for Gocek, and the Dolmus service provides easy access to Fetiya and Dalyman areas for days away from Gocek.

Room Tip: We had the ground floor suite, with private terrace area.
