Stayed at Verano in June 2014, found the staff very helpful, always on hand and did their best (didn't speak much English, but really tried).
Food was always fresh, predominantly traditional Turkish (if you want English food this would not be for you) however we knew this prior to booking.
Room were acceptable, nice size, working air con, and very clean. Ensuites were like new, to a very good spec, and again always kept clean.
The location of this hotel is ideal if you want to get away from it all, the bus runs three times a day into turunc, and taxis cost about £10 each way.
The main selling point for this hotel is the location, views, the peice and quiet.

I have been meaning to write this review since our return in June 2013. We had a great holiday and loved the remote location, gorgeous views, lovely long walks along the coastline and beach. This was an amazing value for money holiday, if you are looking for a lively location with entertainment and all the English comforts then this holiday is not for you. We have been back here three times and find the owners and family really welcoming, the staff are friendly and kenon in reception is so helpful and bent over backwards helping us with trips and our room extension. He also plays live music at the beach bar some evenings, he overall atmosphere is the evening and around the pool is relaxing. The local cows, chickens and goats adds to the charm and we generally really enjoyed the selection of food. Sometimes it got a bit hectic at dinner but we found that if you went a bit later you avoided the rush and they brought out plenty more food. There were not many English people there but I enjoyed getting the time with my partner in a secluded and romantic location. Also enjoyed walking to turunc which is a lovely town but you can also get the bus or a cab too. We got lots of great deals on sports wear, sunglasses, handbags, trainers and electrical in town, the market was great and you can haggle in the stalls and shops!

We arrived at this 'beach resort' whilst on a boat trip (which was also poor to be fair)... and were expected to use the facilities at this hotel - cafe/bar and free sunloungers - for an hour and a half. Was so appalled at the state of this hotel and so-called beach (which I likened more to a gravel car park) that I thought I should write a review to prevent anyone from going there ever! To be fair we didn't go inside the hotel and we are used to staying in nice places (4*) but after looking around at the 'petting zoo' type thing at the back of the pool and smelling the scents of the local area we decided to go back to the boat and wait for it to leave instead! Saw just 2 people sunbathing at the pool, a million fag ends on the beach, 2 cows, several giant wasps, a wasp nest beneath one of the balconies, a fiat punto and a man collecting rocks in a bucket (presumably to drown himself with) which was enough for us! So glad we weren't staying anywhere near this place.

We had booked this place for two weeks all inclusive, but left after one night and went to Turunc. The mattress had blood stains, the pillows stank of sweat.carpets were filthy. There was mouse droppings in the bathroom.the toilet and bath were stained yellow.the food hads flies on it and we found several long grey hairs...yuk.I had diarrhea for several days after leaving there.we weren't expecting 5star luxury, but we did expect it to be clean which it wasn't.we did read the reviews here before we went and believed the good ones....mistake.dont make the same mistake as us.....Dont go!!! I will add some photos

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Verano from 3rd-13th September and really couldn't find much to complain about or at least to the extent of some of the reviews below... bad points were: lack of entertainment. We went for a quiet holiday but unless you travelled to the nearby Turunc, there was nothing to do, however this would suit some people still. Secondly, rooms not cleaned but again it was something I could sympathise with as the staff that were doing the cleaning also worked the restaurant and bar and were always polite no matter how many hours a day they were working. Yet having said that, we still paid to be there and if the owner loosened the purse strings a little, there may have been some extra cleaning staff to clear this issue.

Plus sides, food was ok. Wasn't great, but you get what you pay for and if you want English food, go to Blackpool for the weekend. Very Turkish menu and we were both actually happy for the change even though it did get a bit repetitive. I've seen some comments slating the drinks included but again you get what you pay for and we didn't find anything wrong with it. Pool remained quite for most of the 10 days which was great for us too.

There's amazing scenery in the area and Turunc is nearest town that's got your bars/resteraunt/shops and Marmaris is about 30 mins away by boat or car.

All in all we had a really good holiday and visited some amazing places while we were there. As I said above, if you want to eat English food, see English only people etc then just go to Blackpool. Otherwise, go and embrace the culture
