I family have been going to this resort for about 14 years.
At first the resort was a bit of a chore with all the hassle with shops and restaurants trying to get you in to buy or eat.
The mayor seemed to have sorted most of the problems out but he in my opinion went too far, being a Muslim state they don't like alcohol and taxed the brains out of it.
The bars started decanting our normal drinks with manufactured copy stuff with all sorts of stuff in it well you can imagine.
The moral of this story is only drink bottled beer and bring you own spirits with you

We booked last minute on our first ever cruise with Thomson. We were amazed at the unbelievable friendliness of the Celebration ship's crew. Mostly from the Philippines but all with excellent English and I'd employ every single one of them! They couldn't do enough for us. We had an outside cabin - 495, on deck 3. We were lucky as there was minimal vibration and enough room for us both. If I went again I'd be happy with the same cabin but I wouldn't go to the back of the ship or lower as the vibration from the engines was more noticeable. We're both 40 so were considered 'young' but the entertainment onboard was good and varied and the food was plentiful and very good quality indeed. Our itinerary used to be called the Crimean Explorer I think but of course you can't go there at the moment so it was.. Marmaris, Istanbul, Bulgaria, Romania and Mykonos. Bulgaria was the swapped location instead of Ukraine and it was kind of okay. Few shops but not much going on locally. We booked three excursions, the first for £46 in Istanbul was very rushed so i'd probably get a cab next time into the centre as it wasn't far and you can go at your own pace. The second was wine tasting in Bulgaria and was excellent, do it :) The last was Mykonos beach transfer at £20. Great as a short bus trip to a beautiful beach and lovely sunbeds with cushions and canopy plus free soft drink of choice. If you're going on this ship like we did into the unknown then don't be worried, you'll have a great time :)

Room Tip: Deck 3 or higher mid ship. Google the cabin plans. Our outside cabin was 495. Pretty good with a por...

What a way to spend a holiday from arriving at the boat in Marmaris to departing in Fethiye a great time was had by all of us.As expected the cabins were clean and tidy but small and very basic as was the attached shower and toilet but we only slept there the rest of the time was spent on the deck sunbathing and swimming in the numerous bays we stopped in.Apart from the first and last night the rest of the trip we spent the nights anchored in some secluded spot .The crew Sali, Jim ,Sergi and Janet all men by the way looked after us perfectly especially Jim the cook how he prepared the wide range of food three times a day was amazing. One day we took a trip to the mud baths at Dalyan and on to see the turtles at turtle beach another stop was at Goceck for the women to do a bit of shopping and time for a drink .

Room Tip: pick the cabins at the back slightly bigger and better views from windows

Outstanding trip, weather not too hot max 32, very friendly people, lots to do, cheap days out and food spot on especially in the Turkish restaurants. Stayed at the Kebele Hotel, set 5 minutes from the beach, central to travel to the shops or other resorts.
