M.Kocer Family Apartments
Reviewed 3 June 2014

just got back from 2 weeks in the kocer apartments and can honestly say they are the best apartments weve ever stayed in.they are in a great location on the beach, the rooms are massive and have 6 balconies.the larger than average apartments are ideal for familys and can easily fit 6 to 8 people in them, they have 2 large bedrooms both with on suite and fitted wardrobes and the room/kitchen is lovely.the only downfalls are theres no microwave/toaster /pool or tv but we managaed withour them.the staff are very friendly, they are kept very clean and plenty of clean towels and bedding when you need them.i would definately go there again.

Room Tip: we stayed in 203 it was on the second floor with great views

These are by far the largest holiday apartments we have ever stayed in,two very large, well fitted bedrooms both ensuite with modern facilities. The lounge/Kitchen was enormous. A total of 7 balconies, these apartments have the potential to be the best in Marmaris. Now for the downside, whilst the bedrooms are very well appointed the Kitchen/lounge is virtually bare,No TV,1 small settee,a plastic table and four plastic chairs. It feels and looks like an empty house, you cannot sit and relax in comfort. The kitchen has the absolute bare minimum,no toaster no microwave not even a corkscrew!Just a fridge, kettle and a plug in 2 ring hob.Maid service was friendly but a bit hit and miss.
Downstairs Phillis on reception was a little star, nothing was to much trouble, she seemed to hold the place together.Outside there is no pool but as it has its own private beach does it really matter. The big downside was the incessant pressure to eat and drink there. The food was not good and drinks on the expensive side. For the first few days the pressure to eat and drink there was a nuisance,in the end it spoiled our stay.Would not return

My friend and I just returned from our holiday late last night and both of us would recommend these apartments. Very spacious accommodation and both bedrooms with en suite facilities which were all to a high standard and kept immaculately clean. The bar, hotel and cleaning staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

No pool in the hotel however you are right on the beach so there is really no need for one, beach staff were very friendly and the drinks and snacks were very reasonably priced and of a good quality.

The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that these apartments may not be suitable to all holiday makers. We were on a high floor room and there is no lift, this wasn't a problem to us but anyone with children may wish to request a lower floor to avoid having to drag a buggy/pram up the stairs, especially in the heat it wouldn't be easy! It can also be quite noisy as it is on the main strip, the water park next door opens at 10am so anyone wishing to sleep past that time has no chance, we also found a lot of noise throughout the night from the hotel behind. Obviously these issues are not the apartments fault and it wouldn't put me off returning but people should be aware of this if they have children or are light sleepers.

All in all we had a great stay and I would happily return next year, room was great value for money although I feel the air con charge of £70 per week is quite steep, we just left the windows open at night as the breeze from the sea cools the rooms.

After being directed to the Kocer Beach Hotel and then redirected to this one, some 200 metres away, we found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The 2 bedroom apartments were very spacious with each bedroom having its own en-suite facilities. There was a double and a twin, very clean and each with air conditioning (£140 for 2 weeks). There were 3 of us in our party which was good because although the apartment sleeps 6 only 3 or 4 are catered for comfortably, eg a bed settee big enough to sit 3 was the only comfy seating despite plenty of room for another one, air conditioning is only in the bedrooms so anyone sleeping in the lounge did not get that benefit. The only other negative is that the two plate hob is hardly big enough to cater for a bigger party. The outside space is also very big and well appointed, no pool but not necessary as the beach is 2 footsteps away, with an area of cushions for lazing on while smoking the water pipes which proved very popular. Overall at the price we paid and the service we received I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and not too expensive holiday.

Room Tip: Blocks B or C have sea views, but I think some of Block A might not.

We stayed at these apartments for 2 weeks in August. On arrival the receptionist was so pleasant & very welcoming! The apartment was very big with 2 bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms they were clean very well located & so quiet plus all apartments have lots of amazing sea views. Bedding & towels changed regularly. The food we ate here was always superb from Breakfast to Lunch to Our Evening Meal. The staff were amazing couldn't have done more for us Alex, Mehmet, Migo, Ercan, Max, Ugur Carlos Ronaldo were the best! We have been travelling to Turkey for 8 years & these apartments are the very best by far. Trying to book for next year already. Would never want to stay anywhere else. Loved Loved Loved this place

Went to M Kocer with 4 of my girl best friends!
The apartment was lovely, self catering- only had 2 hobs but we were on holiday so ate out mostly and ate pasta when in.
The beach is lovely, great service as well so if you need a drink or want to eat on the beach the waiters will bring it to you!
Some of the staff could be quite pushy to get us to eat at M Kocer, (the food was amazing there) we just wanted to explore!
All in all great holiday, excursion stand on site- loads to do, a taxi ride to 'bar street' which was 3 Lira between us! But amazing- we are returning!!
