we have just got home from our 3 week holiday in marmaris my partner and i visited the kervan alone and again with four friends the following week the food was amazing the mezes were a meal in itself ! i had the chicken shish kebab the chicken just melted in your mouth ! my partner had the ribs on one occasion and the mixed kebab on our second visit both were excellent. The kervan is excellent value for money so much so that when the bill came on our second visit which was for six people ! we thought it was wrong as it was only 163 lira 3 of us had a alcoholic drink and 3 had either a soft drink or water and 4 people had the mixed kebab which was one of the most expensive meals on the menu !. WE WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER !!!

Amazing Turkish food, definitely worth a visit if you want to try Turkish food. Always busy with tourists and locals. Great service and always willing to help you.

We arrived on a Tuesday evening by Taxi as it is a long walk from the "tat" sea front - the restaurant was full of locals - a good sign . The manager explained both food and drink options , and we plumped for the "obvious" mixed meze and mixed kebabs . What makes this place different is the excellent quality of all the food , mostly cooked on the charcoal grill - and the quantity was good too - make sure you get the lovely bread . We also had raki , a bottle of white and half of red - all local and top quality .
At the end of the meal lots of lovely fruit was free gratis ! The bill - equivalent of £20 a head
In a town where chain and rip-off restaurants are everywhere , this is a little gem - well worth the taxi fare - but beware the white knuckle ride taxi back to the sea front .

we read the reviews on tripadvisor and wanted to try a traditional turkish restaurant on our first holiday to Marmaris

we ate here one evening I chose the mixed kebab and my daughter had the pide and chips, her partner had the mixed grill and I cant remember what my husband had but the food was A1, it was absolutely beautiful, they kept bringing wraps, loads of them lol plus breads and dips and lovely salad , we had free turkish coffee ( in the house lol ) and a thoroughly enjoyable evening for exceptional value , would recommend 100%

If you want to try some real deal Turkish food this is the place you need to go, meats cooked on a open grill so you can just follow your nose to find it. great value and service. they even had me eating and loving bulgur wheat, no restaurant has ever managed that.

Would defo recommend here if you want a taste of Turkey, If your looking for pie and chips I suggest you go elsewhere
