Clean rooms and friendly staff, well run kids club with free lunch and ice cream for the kids.
We had paid for breakfast to be included and wished we hadn't as the selection is poor and quality also poor.
We also had a room very close to the havanna bar and music was very very loud up to midnight, we asked to move but couldn't we were told.
Hotel's card payment system has it's flaws, waiters wouldn't return the card on more than a few occassion's without being asked, also once loaded with money you can't get it back, it has to be spent in the hotel.
All in all though it was a good holiday with just these few negatives.

My husband & I stayed at the Anastasia in September this year for his 50th birthday. The weather was hot hot hot.
On arrival we found that our room was up 12 flights of stairs ( 6th floor) with no lift , we did think about asking to be moved but decided that as we could do with the exercise we'd stay put.
The room itself, although basic was quite nice, with all the essentials and was spotlessly clean. The maids came in every day and did a great job.
The pool is great although to be honest we weren't able to spend a great deal of time there, as there were never any sunbeds....this i think is a major problem for the hotel as instead of spending money at the hotel we went to places where we were able to get a bed.

We found a great bar opposite the amphi- theatre called the Anfi Bar....the food there is absolutely great, the drinks are good value and most days we used their pool and the boys there looked after us really really well ...Hello to psycho , Sunill, Amanda and all the other staff. We celebrated Alun's birthday there and had a brill night with all our new friends.Hello to Hugh , Christine, Isabelle , Christine & Sean ...Highly recommended. !!
Entertainment at the Anastasia was great for young kids ...not so good for adults but still ok, the Havanna boys , although polite & friendly, took forever to get you a drink and to be honest . it was easier & cheaper to eat & drink out side the hotel... again a strike against the hotel. The food that we did eat , was ok but as we were self catering , we found better places,...don't buy from the hotel supermarket ....far too expensive, turn right at the main road, there's a great shop and he'll change money for you.
Be sure to try The Mad boys Bar ....great chicken fajitas and try the September bar for a great steak.

Don't be afraid to use the local buses, they're cheap, not too uncomfortable and a great way to get around.

So I hope I didn't sound too harsh about the Anastasia ...we just used it as a base to be honest, but having said that...the hotel is it's own worse enemy ...it could do more to keep it's guests in the hotel. But if I ever took the grandchildren to Marmaris I would definately stay there again, otherwise I would look elsewhere.

Marmaris and Turkey is a place I never fancied, but having been there, I would go back tomorrow. The people are great and, yes . the hassle is a pain but I've had much worse in Egypt.

So please ask if you have any questions....

One of the best holidays we have had for years and we have tried a few different places.Plenty to see and do.The hotel was brilliant very clean with friendly helpful staff. The meals in the restaurant were lovley cooked well ,several good choices and not too expensive. We loved the Orange bar and Oscar was a star but his choice of music was a little limited. The havana bar had a really good lot of varied evening entertainment going on to suit all ages and tastesThe only negative thing I woud say is it is noisy and we had problems sleeping until the Havana bar closed down.I travelled with my husband and two family members in their twenties . we would definitley go back in the future but would not go high season as it is very family orientated and perhaps a bit too much going all the timeon for a relaxing holiday. However this could havebeen because we were oberlooking the childrens play area and the pool ,next time we would ask for a different room.

I went here in July with 6 friends, we had an amazing time, all of the staff we're friendly and helpful. We went half board and it was definately worth the extra money. The food at the Bella Blu was really nice, both the breakfast and dinner menu's contained plenty to choose from.

At night we stayed round the Havana Bar for the entertainment which was always good.

We could not fault the rooms, they were cleaned everyday but one I think. The cleaner even moved all our mess into small piles, which she did not need to move. Especially when we were a group of 18 year olds with a messy room.

The only thing really would probably be the price of cocktails but if you went up to the orange bar they were buy one get one free, and they also did cocktails of the day at half price.

I would definately go back to this hotel again. My friend has been to this hotel 3 or 4 times up to now.

Clean, amazing value for money, one of the best swimming pools ever (a bit small though). Free air-con in our room was a welcome essential. We went self-catering and found cheap groceries at Kipa, a large modern supermarket about 15 minutes walk away. There is a very good restaurant nearby called Keravan, full of well-to-do local people. A wholesome salad and beautiful lamb fillets with home made unleavened bread costs £8 each!!! The harbour is about 45 minutes walk. We went on a "lazy" all-day trip in an ancient wooden boat with 50 other people from Holland / Italy / England... I think it's Turkish name translated into the Pirate Captain... visited hidden coves with crystal turquoise water to swim and explore. Lunch was grilled fish caught off the back of the boat, or chicken breast marinaded in herbs and bbq'd...heaven. The whole day cost £8 each, but I drank a lot of Efes (local beer) and Raki and ended a wonderful day with a monumental hangover. The beach at Marmaris is dire so we used to go to Icmeler's beach on the Dolmus (minbus) for £1 each way. The area that the hotel is located in is not so smart, but Turkey is a relatively poor country. The people are mostly friendly and respectful, especially so the staff at Club Anastasia. A great holiday.

This is our 5th year of coming to this hotel over the years we have made many friends the Havana boys are great and work really hard. Every year we go we always change to half board you can have a full english breakfast and a 5 coarse meal in the evening which is exceptional the Bella Blu staff will do anything for you. The atmosphere is great throught the hotel but we will sadly miss 2 very special friends that have been an great addition to the staff which is umit who is coming to England to live and Ilmaz which we have known for 5 years has gone to serve his country. we hope one day to once again meet up with these to very special people. Also thanks Brian,Lisa & James great day time entertainers. Also Nuri the Daytime receptionist who will do anything for you. We hope to return next year and see old and new faces in June and October. Finally good luck to Dave enjoy the cruising. Love cath & Les Haynes (Manchester) Room 609

Our family stayed for 9 nights (17-26 Oct) in room 522. This was a large 1 bed apartment with a large balcony and plenty of room for us all.
Hotel staff and facilities were excellent although I agree that the Havana Boys were winding down :-)
The main daytime events took place around the pool where James and the Boys worked hard to keep everyone entertained, especially the kids.
The apartment was cleaned every day and bedding/towels changed 3 times during our stay. Ilknur our maid decorated all the beds one day which was a lovely surprise.
The hotel deserves, in my opinion, its 4 stars.
The day trips are exceptional value for money and 1 we personally recommend is the Lazy Day Boat Trip. The cost was £10 each for which we got breakfast, lunch and drinks all day. There were 3 opportunities for sea swimming plus a visit to a village for either the beach or shopping (yes, we shopped!!) There was a photographer on board who snapped away all day and took 124 photos of the 4 of us! Time to view the photos and we were ready to hear the extortionate cost and say no thank you. However, we were surprised to hear the cd of photos was just £17 - yes please!!
On the subject of trips, I have to upset a few people now by NOT recommending Uncle John. Although convinient as next door to the hotel, he and his female oppo were pushy and at one point made a personal comment about me (oops hubby understands Turkish) Not surprisingly they were very sheepish after that.
I WOULD recommend Andy at B+B Travel, just 2 minutes down the same road as there was no hassle, a better exchange rate, a better variety of trips and a very nice FREE trip to the turkish baths at a local hotel where we had a private family booking.
We ate out at 7 different restaurants during our stay, revisiting Flares and Villa Dream - both highly recommended. The September Bar was very popular but we found it a bit of a let down to be honest and more expensive than the rest.
Ichmeler Market on the Wednesday was really really good and puts Spanish markets to shame. Marmaris Thursday market for me was too crowded and stuffy as it's inside.
All in all, a fantastic family holiday and one we will be repeating :-)
