You have a Kong selection of shops and if you go into the centre where the boats are they got big shopping centre its fantastic. What can I say I truly miss that place a lot.

Me and my partner stayed here 30th June to 10th July. We stayed in room 625 which was the top floor and has a gorgeous sea view. Ozzy and Izzy were incredibly fun and if you feel up for it i'd recommend going on a night out with them, didn't cost a fortune either. I'd recommend the spa packages too the turkish bath especially. Only problem and this is not the hotels fault is how its an hour and half away from the airport, a little exhausting especially if you have a late flight but that cant be helped. Drinks were very good local but if your not fussy then its not a problem. We did eat out for breakfast a few times but it was only because my partner wanted a full english. (Recommend infinity 5 mins walk)

See you next year cettia!

Me and my partner visited cettia beach on july 10th for one week on arrival we were given room 312 wich faces the main road, if you are unlucky enough to get a road facing room ask to be moved straight away because the noise is horrendous from cars and bikes and people shouting and dogs barking.we had to put cotton wool in our ears to get some sleep, now to the food and drink most reviews seem to say how wonderful it is ,well all I can say is I dont no what these people eat at home to think the food at cettia is wonderful because after a couple of days of this food I couldn't stomach any more and had to eat out, and the drink was just as bad you could sit and drink the rubbish they give you there all day and still stand up and walk straight, it is that bad, and when you have payed a small fortune for all inclusive you shouldn't need to go out every night for a decent meal and drink, in my eyes this is what spoils this hotel because it is a beautiful place spotlessly clean in a great location but the food and drink issues need some serious attention by the managment of this hotel if it is to climb any further up the trip adviser ratings or maybe they are just happy taking people's hard earned money and giving them cheep rubbish.

We have just arrived home from a 7 night All inclusive holiday in Marmaris, staying at the Cettia beach hotel (4star). We stayed from the 3rd August - 10th August 2014.

The Cettia beach hotel is situated opposite the beach and has a wide choice of shops near by. However, if you want to visit The centre of Marmaris (Harbour area, bar street etc) then you have 3 options, Walk from the hotel along the promenade opposite the sea (however this will take around 40-50mins), Take a taxi (taxi rank outside the hotel) around 25lira but only takes about 10mins, or catch the bus (You can flag the bus down from almost anywhere in Marmaris, as bus stops are generally ignored)

Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly (english speaking) receptionist who checked us in swiftly & issued us with our key card to our twin room (304 on the third floor) We arrived close to Midnight and the hotel advised us that we could go get a burger and chips from the pool side bar. Which was good as we where hungry after a long delayed flight from Manchester.

OUR ROOM

The rooms are clean, well decorated, have air conditioning, small balcony, telephone, safe (fee), small fridge and bathroom with Dove shampoo & Conditioner. The mini bar in the room is also Free (If all inclusive) So help yourself!
We had a twin room our balcony had a side view, but if you tilted your head left from the balcony you could see the sea. However, This wasn't a problem as we spend little time in our rooms.

Rooms are cleaned everyday, with maids changing the bed sheets and towels (if you leave them on the bathroom floor) The maids do a very good job as our room was always clean and tidy after a day enjoying the Marmaris sun.

We slept fine in our room every night, as the beds where comfortable (The duvet's where a little rough, However that didn't bother us too much.)
The Rooms where quite at night so we always got a good nights sleep. The en-suite bathroom was good too with a very impressive rain shower.
The room also had air conditioning and a pay TV (However certain English news channels where free)

They is NO tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms

RESTAURANT (food)

The food at the Cettia beach hotel is excellent. The choice of food was good & tasted great. A lot of the food is Traditional Turkish food, which was great for us as we love experiencing different foods when abroad. All meals are presented as a buffet (you just help yourself). They was always an attractive looking selection of fresh fruit too, when choosing your food remember to go outside to the show cooking area as they often had some fantastic food been freshly prepared by the chefs over a hob.

Breakfast consisted of a variety of things such as eggs (hard boilded, scrambled),,beans, mushrooms, toast, breads, cereal, fresh fruit and lots more. They was a drinks machine that served water, orange & pineapple juice, tea & coffee etc

Evening meal the choice of food was excellent, they was something to suit everyone. Fresh fish, pasta, meatballs, salads to name just a few. All the food was well presented. They was a nice selection of cakes for dessert too.

The waiters are friendly and helpful, if you want a beer remember its a self service restaurant so get a beer from the lobby bar or poolside bar and take it into the restaurant with you. However, I'm sure the waiters would get you a beer if you forgot. The local beer at the hotel is Efis (5% and tastes really good)

SWIMMING

The hotel has it's own pool, however the best thing about the hotel when it comes to swimming, is the private jetty. It's free for all guests to use, has free sunbeds, it's easy to find a sunbed on it (Without getting up early!) and towards the end of the jetty they is a step ladder into the sea; we found this fantastic as it meant no more getting your feet covered in sand! when coming out the sea (As you could climb out onto the jetty)

The swimming pool itself was a decent size, with games such as water polo and volleyball been played regularly. Ozzy and Izzy where the hotels entertainment team, they where fantastic and always socialised with everyone! They also hosted a lot of the evening entertainment. The evening entertainment wasn't too bad and was hosted every evening outside the pool / bar area.

GENERAL
Other general facilities the hotel offered was Taxi phoning, 24hr reception, lifts, free wifi (Some times getting a signal in the rooms was difficult but a signal was always available in the communal and bar area's) Pool table, internet area, and barbers.

The Cettia beach is exclusively for adults, but they was a good range of young people there (People in there 20's) as well as some older guests.

The hotel has Free spa facilities for All inclusive guests, The spa facilities where good. You could have a Fish Pedicure (Fish nibbling your feet) a visit the sauna and gym, all of which where free. The hotel also offered Turkish bath's and massages etc but at a extra cost

Make sure that you buy water and store it in your room fridge (Dont drink from the taps, as it can make you feel iffy)

WHAT I LIKED BEST
1.The private Jetty (just over the road)
2.Cleanliness (the hotel was always immaculate)
3.Ozzy and Izzy, really nice people and always made you feel welcome
4.Politeness / helpfulness of the staff.
5. Marmaris is a lovely resort & the weather was great

Some useful tips

Dalaman is the closest airport to Marmaris, we booked a private transfer with www.marmaristransfers.co.uk you simply reserve your pick up online and pay the driver on the day in either GBP, Lira or Euros. We did have a transfer booked with Thomas cook however this was a slow shuttle transfer and because of the long transfer time from Dalaman Airport to Marmaris (60 miles) we thought a private transfer would be better, especially after a late flight. The transfer vehicle we got with marmaristransfers was fantastic and very modern, so I'd certainly recommend them over the bus. It's cost us £10 per person for a one way transfer from the airport to the Cettia beach hotel in Marmaris (Return transfers can also be booked on there website) The big advantage with a Private transfer is they is no 15minute service station stop en route, which often occurs with the shuttle buses.

British money is widely accepted in Marmaris! As well as Lira and Euro.

We did an all day boat trip (10am till 6pm) from the Harbour, this was a fantastic day as it only cost £10 per person and included lunch onboard, along with plenty of swim stops! The boat was called Harika, if you visit the harbour at day or night you will see all the boat trips Marmaris offers. However if you go on an all day boat trip be careful when buying photographs from so called professional photographers onboard as you pay them for the photo and they then deliver the photo to your hotel (As they is no printing facilities for them on the boat) However often they simply run off with your money and the photo never arrives at your hotel. Unfortunately this happened to us on the Harika all day boat trip. Great boat trip though, just a dishonest photographer onboard.

We booked the Holiday with Thomas cook. As it's difficult to find this hotel on other holiday booking sites

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks on 24th July and we really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is located at the top of Marmaris and takes around 45 minutes to walk into the town centre, however you can jump on a dolmus for 2 Lira per person. As the hotel is pretty much the last one in Marmaris you can always get a seat on the bus which is great.

We found that the hotel was immaculate and the staff work very hard to keep it this way especially in the restaurant. The only criticism I can make about the cleanliness of the hotel are the cups next to the water machine by the pool bar as they are rather dirty and we always had to look through to find the cleanest cups.

The pool, jetty and beach are very nice and we never struggled to find a sunbed no matter what time of day it was. The pool is also much bigger than what it looks on pictures however it is rather deep.

Unfortunately we found that entertainment in the hotel was rather poor as the shows were exactly the same on the second week and could do with a two week rota. We actually saw a Mr Cettia show on three separate occasions and we didn't stay in every night. Also we found Ozzy and Izzy to be rather annoying. We did not want to participate in any of their games during the day however they repeatedly asked us and kept questioning why we wished not to join in. Izzy also made several comments to us which made us feel rather awkward, we found her at times quite rude. As the hotel is adults only it is a shame that the pool was overtaken by games after 2pm every day which meant we could not easily be in the pool unless part of the 'game'. On two occasions Izzy actually moved our sunbeds and parasol as we were 'in the way' of the game.

The rooms were very nice. We had a side view room and could not hear any noise from the main road. Also we were on the top floor and our balcony was massive. Our air con was very temperamental and we had to report it several times during our stay as it kept breaking. Sometimes they could fix it however once or twice they said it would be fixed and it wasn't.

The food was ok but could be a little better. Breakfast was poor and we ate out quite a bit. On our first day there was pancakes however they were never to be seen again. Lunch and dinner were sameish and I think I had rice with every meal. You can get burgers and chips during the day however it does take the guy a while to make them.

This review does seem to be very negative however apart from what has been said above the hotel is very nice and relaxing, we would return to this hotel but maybe for a shorter period of time.

We stayed here in July and after reading all the reviews wonder if we stayed at the same hotel !!
Let me start by saying that the hotel is very clean and well kept, the rooms are small but very nice and cleaned every day, there is a small pool and a jetty.
We arrived early in the morning and, after being shown to our room, went straight down to breakfast. No tea or coffee service, not even tea or coffee pots so that you could serve yourself at the table, instead there was a free vending machine. The choice of food for breakfast and indeed overall was the most limited we have ever had in all our holidays, we nearly always go all inclusive. Most mornings that we went it was not even possible to have toast as both the toasters were not working properly. We gave up on the fried eggs for breakfast as they were broken every time. We found ourselves eating out most days. The staff in the restaurant, especially the blond haired lady, never smiled, let alone spoke, very unfriendly.
We found the staff were very hit and miss, the cleaners were more friendly than any other staff that we met, always smiling and wishing you a good day, the others could learn a lot from them. Must mention the lad that served the ice cream and one of the outside waiters, sorry cannot remember his name, who were both very friendly and efficient.
The lad on the outside grill was next to useless, taking ages to cook the most basic of foods and then serving people in the wrong order, we saw quite a few people getting upset and frustrated with him.
We found Ozzy and Izzy to be very annoying and unprofessional, and very rude. We wanted to relax on the jetty most days, but were constantly bothered by the pair of them shouting at the top of their voices to play their games 3 or 4 times a day, we have never encountered this before on an adults only holiday, everywhere we have been before the animation team always respected the guests and if we did not want to participate then we were left in peace. You could not even get away from them at night as they went around every table shouting and acting the fools, and, amazingly to me, Ozzy frequently sat at people's tables and downed their drinks. We saw this on a few occasions, I have never seen any member of any animation team drinking whilst working, very unprofessional.
I feel that we had a very mediocre stay, spoilt by bad food, unfriendly service, and a very rude animation team.
We stayed at the Marmaris Imperial in May this year, we could see the hotel across the bay and wished that we were there instead as we had such a fantastic time. The Imperial is behind the Cettia on Tripadvisor, goodness knows how, as they are chalk and cheese.
We were so looking forward to the holiday, but came away very disappointed.
Would we recommend the Cettia to any of our friends, certainly not.
