“worst hotel ever stayed in”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2008

read lots of reviews before going and was expecting bad but not as bad as it was. food was terrible same slop served up from night before but in a sauce or middlre of pizza you never get anything english not even chips if you want chips you have to pay for them,we lived on bread and butter for 3 days and fruit and after that we had to eat out ever day, the pool was lovely andf drinks ok. rooms shabby and air conditioning not brilliant. another review said was like fawlty towers and that is a correct description of hotel. the only good thing about this hotel is the staff are friendly and its really near to beach and shops. not many english here would say 95% danish people.please dont go to this hotel all inclusive as you will end up spending a fortune having to eat out. and all the other english in this hotel when we were there were saying the same as us.

There where five of us stayed at this hotel if you could call it a hotel .It was disgusting i have never stayed in anything so bad in my life. The food was awful after the second day we did not eat anything in the hotel at at all my partner got diarrhoea and was ill for the rest of the holiday. He could not fit in to the shower room as it was so small the ceiling in the bathroom was all falling down my list of faults could go on forever. I read the reports before i went but never thought t would be as bad as it was but it was far worse. My advise would be stay well away from that hellhole

Arrived at the balci hotel at around 7am the reception man was very helpfull and made sure we all had rooms together as we read all these reviews we was dreading what to expect then as we opened our door which was 208 and 209 we was very shocked it was very vasic but also very clean and nice we had towels and bedding every day and the maid was lovely, as for the rest of the staff they are all sooo nice especailly CRAZY JELLY and NEV. we met the hotel manager who was also very nice and poilite the hotel was full of danish people but we didnt let this ruin us having a good time, the food wasnt all that but eatable and is worth going all inclusive 4 the drinks, the pool was very good and overall we had such a good time and would defently cum bk. if ur looking for a cheap and cheerfull place to go then defeently cum here ur close to shops the beach and entertainment, its wicked for all the excurtions, i would say to every1 who has complained what do u expect 4 the price u pay it was well worth it. x

arrived 5am after a 70minute bus drive the man on reception was lovely apologised that there was no lift but only 4 floors can hardly moan.

room(409) lovely double bed bathroom big enough for 2 not sure who moans about the shower cubicle but enough space to move about in. cleaned everyday and towels and bedding changed every 3.

we were there for 2 weeks with no entertainment apart from a tuesday where it was kebab night which was lovely and breakdancers snake charmer and belly dancer which were good but if you arrive after a tuesday you will have seen the entertainment plenty of time on bar street but its something to do.
The waiters were lovely liked to dance to the turkish music - the all inclusive drink was vodka raki gin beer(they dont understand lager but the beer is lager) and wine with plenty of soft drinks. you can get more than one drink up until 10pm where it one per person.

the food was Turkish not used to in an all inclusive hotel as normally chips and english food we enjoyed the food but it after two weeks it was repetative the turks do not cater like the spanish do for all inclusive be prepared for turkish breakfast which is salad olives boiled eggs and different pastries.

the pool was lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds.

Marmaris was a lovely place the weather been 48 temp wise some days it was nice to be able to go in the sea. the beach is long and narrow offering free sunbeds you will be bothered by the bar staff for drinks but you can say no and be left in peace.

Go to Ichelmar market it was experience that has to be seen 2lire on the orange bus gets you to the market where the offer as the turks say cheap tacky crap but good deals all in their cockney accents.

this was a brilliant holidays the hotel was lovely and marmaris is lovely to stay in would definatly go again.

Do not visit this hotel the rooms are small you can only fit in the shower if you are a size 8 the food is un edible and thats when they dont keep running out.The pool area is filthy the resturant is a disgrace the cups plates saucers etc are chipped craked and dirty, the cuttlery has to be wiped or changed prior to use,the staff are arrogant ignorant, abusive and down right rude. The hotel caters for Dutch people only so all signs messages and menus are in Dutch. For an all inclusive holiday try any were else but this hotel .Just dont bother going.

What can i say! I just came home from the seven superior with my friend, what a ball!

The hotel is situated about 5 or 10 mins from town, beach front, night clubs etc so its pretty easy to get to on foot. The staff are very friendly, most do speak very good english and are easy to talk to. They genuinley do anything they can to help you.

Rooms are fine, we got the wrong room but the staff offered to sort it but we were more than happy with it as is was clean and tidy. The top floor rooms are deffinatley the best from what we saw though but there isnt a lift.

The food isnt great but the all inclusive bar is fine. The food is usually chicken or beef and is very repetative me and my friend and some other guest we made friends with did go and eat out. But there is not a snack bar so you do have to pay for food in the hotel.

The swimming pool is nice and clean there are plenty of sunbeds if you get there early enough.

Overall a good hotel if you arent planning to spend too much time in there. We had a good time, met some great people and i would go back again. In fact me and my friend are looking into booking again in september. So dont believe everything bad you read on this hotel there are definaltley more ups to this hotel than downs.

  • Liked — Friendly staff, 24hour reception, swimming pool
  • Disliked — choice of food lacks.
