“stunning location”
Reviewed 1 October 2011

Just returned from this hotel, we had a lovely holiday. Below the good and bad,
1. Stunning location.
2. Large room with large walk in shower, very clean, towels changed every day. Beds very hard, ask for a mattress topper. Tea, coffee, fridge in room.
3. Excellent choice of food, friendly waiters. Sometimes gets busy in restaurant at certain times, and if like us you wanted to eat on the outside terrace could't always get a table.
4. Loads of areas for sunbathing, plenty of sunbeds, although a lot of people reserved the best spots.
5. Entertainment pleasant.
6. We had room no. 515 there were 115 steps which is not good if you have mobility problems, we are in out 50's and found it tiring, you really have too make sure that you have everything for the beach etc. with you for the day then you don't have to keep going back to room. Not sure if would return to this hotel for this reason, most certainly would if guaranteed low room.

In conclusion, apart from a few points mentioned a fantastic hotel.

Room Tip: Low room if you don't want loads of steps. Room 515 for stunning view.

This is a great hotel with hard working eager to please staff in a beautiful setting. The hotel caters for a number of nationalities, Russian, German, French, turkish and English amongst others and is for couples although there were a few singletons there.

The rooms are comfortable and clean with fantastic views. Although it tells you in the brochures there are a lot of steps no problem if you are fit but do not go if you have trouble with stairs or hill or are just idle !!! The hotel does run a golf buggy service to and from the rooms on request although from what I saw can be an exciting ride. TV was available in English I saw one review complaining about german porn well I looked for a long time but didnt manage to find any !!! Walls are a bit thin !!!

There are two pool areas the relax pool where all is quiet and the main pool where water aerobics some games and music is played. I noticed someone complained that the music was head banging this is only the case if your musical taste stopped at Bing Crosby !! there was something for everybody. The pool is clean and there arte plenty of sunbeds although as usual there are those who reserve the best and then do not use them, mainly British I am afraid. The beach is clean and again there are plenty of sunbeds and a beach bar.

The food was excellent plenty of salad and fruit and there was always a good choice. They even did bacon at breakfast on Sundays which considerind where you are was very considerate.

The entertainment was as described by others fairly dire the resident duo are two young lads who must have had many traumas in their lives as they manage to make even the most upbeat song into a a dirge that makes Adele look happy. There was entertainment in a small ampetheatre but we did not go so I cannot comment on it.

The Gym was excellent 2 running machines a x trainer a multigym and a weights bench. there is also a full set of dumbells but they only go up to 20Kg, however you can get the bar up to about 120-130Kg. It was very hot in there they open the doors rather than try to air condition a glass room but the views were fantastic, its open from 0700 to 2000.

the all inclusive package does not include any branded drinks but local vodka, brandy and gin was available no baccardi. we got a bottle at duty free and took it with us. Water and tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room.

Nothing ruined our 2 weeks the reps might as well not be there the welcome meeting was a selling event and the leaving departure meeting was cancelled. WiFi was available and quite fast. The only blot on the lanscape were other british guests I think the moaning olympics were taking place and we had a strong team. My advice is make your own mind up and if you want a relaxing hotel in a superb setting give it a go.

My wife & I have recently returned from this hotel. Prior to travelling we were intrigued by some of the mixed reviews the hotel has received this year. Our opinion in a nutshell. Location - stunning. Staff - extremely friendly & helpful. Food - varied and of a very high standard compared to most all inclusives we have experienced. In particular the speciality restaurant 'Gunes' was superb.Entertainment - the least said the better. How the resident duo ever received a contract we shall never know. Conclusion - give it a try. This is a very good hotel in a superb location with attentive staff and good food .Savour the hotel, its staff & its surroundings and do not be put off by the poor entertainment!

Room Tip: Room 519 has superb views across the bay to Marmaris and the Yacht Club. Beware though - you have 96...

Just returned from a weeks holiday at The Marmaris Imperial. The secluded location and views from the resort make it a wonderful place to stay. Reminds me of the Lake District.
Our bedroom 416 was on the fourth level up several flights of uneven steps pretty much as we expected. It was spacious and comfortable although the bed was quite hard. The cleaning, changing towels etc was carried out daily to a very high standard.
The food and service is fabulous in the Dining room. We also enjoyed the food at the Turkish Speciality restaurant.
We went on 2 excursions, turkish bath experience in Marmaris and the shopping trip to Iclemer market. I would definately recommend to use the resort spa instead of wasting time and money on the Thomson excursion. It appears to be cheaper going to Marmaris but when you arrive at the baths there are many things not included in the treatment which require additional payment. The 5* experience at the hotel spa is wonderful. Try it and I promise you wont be disappointed.
The nightly entertainment is average and could be improved.
Overall we had a great time and the resort is beautiful but believe a few aspects could be improved which would make it a 5* resort.

Room Tip: Take waterproof beach shoes as there is approximately 3-4m of sharp stones to negotiate paddling int...

Just returned from a week at the imperial. Have to say that the place is absolutely stunning. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Food was fantastic and from a fussy eater that takes some doing to get a comment like that from me. My wife says that the setting for the hotel is the most romatic she has seen apart from the Carribean.
Only negatives for us were that the entertainment could have been a lot better and the drinks were extremely weak. The cocktails were certainly lacking alcohol. For the negative reasons we would not personally return to this hotel. Also this hotel is only suitable for active people as there are hills and steps everywhere.

Room Tip: Take an evening boat trip to Marmaris. This is a lovely way to travel and much better than a taxi. C...

Me and my husband have just returned from the Marmaris Imperial Hotel in Turkey and we had a wonderful two weeks. Never been to Turkey before but had a wonderful time, food great, entertainment a little lacking. We went on many trips while we were there and one we would recommend is Ephesus and Pamukkale. They did this as two individual trips or one with with an overnight stay, the tour guide Yusuf was excellent as his job and made the two days very enjoyable. Not a very good experience at the airport arriving or departing but it never spoiled my holiday. Cannot recommend the hotel enough.Hope to go again soon.
