Our first experience of the Magic Life product and it is excellent; friendly staff, excellent food, quality rooms, great location.

If you want to relax without a worry in the world this is the place. 8KM from Marmaris town is a good thing too, easy access for shopping there if you want it though.

Club Magic Life is in a most beautiful location in a cove and next to the yacht marina along the coast from Marmaris which can be seen across the bay. It is like staying in a tropical botanical garden with lush green vegetation everywhere and beautifully kept. The rooms are situated in blocks of 4 rooms scattered about the hillside and rustic in appearance (try and get a top room). There are many steps here up to the rooms and it is not a resort for the infirm or unfit. They are furnished in Ikea modern style with a modern a/c unit and TV. The bathroom is excellent with a new double size shower unit with glass surround, a toilet with a bidet tap built in and a large sink. Perhaps the only criticism would be that there is not quite enough shelving/cupboard space to put the toiletries on. There is a mini fridge stocked with coke, sprite, fanta and water which is filled up once on arrival and is totally free. As we arrived there was no rep. to help or advise and we were thrown in to a bombardment of form filling etc. A tip would be to go to the Club Magic web site and do a pre check-in before you travel. This is a different type of AI to any we had known before and there is no wrist band or card which takes a day or two to get used to as you just go to the bar and order a drink or a coffee without proving who you are. Take half an hour on arrival to watch the Club Magic video on channel one on the TV as there is a lot of info on it. Thomsons market this resort as not suitable for children as there are no special facilities but there were plenty of children there, mainly German and Turkish and I have to say that they were very well behaved around the resort and especially at mealtimes where they all ate nicely with their parents. Also, we did not see one fat child here and only one or two adults. There is a small sandy beach on one side and a concrete based sunbed area wrapping around from the beach to the cove. There are 2 beach bars on this stretch from which you can also get free bottled water.

The only things, in our opinion, that lets the resort down is the food. Most of the hot food is served outside and is barely warm, we did not see anyone using catering thermometers to test the temperature of the food. The food is aimed at the Turkish and German clientele and not the British, of which there are very few. It was pretty much the same thing every day even on theme nights and soon got boring. We found it more difficult to find something to eat as the week went on as we had exhausted the things we liked by day 3. There is a large bread station but it was not supervised and people were slicing loaves and touching the bread without putting a napkin on the bread. The fried eggs were like rubber frisbees but you can get a fresh made omelette which is nice. The desserts are highly coloured with artificial colouring and extremely sweet, it set my teeth on edge so much that I couldn't stand to eat them. The outside eating areas are very scenic but we were plagued by hundreds of wasps that tried to get in the food the whole time. We booked the a la carte restaurants and tried the Baia on the water front but the meal was spoiled by the wasps and the waiters who couldn't get the message when we didn't want alchohol with our meal, just water. We were first in and ordered first and everything went ok until dessert time, after being kept waiting for half an hour while others got theirs we left as we thought it was just plain rude. The staff were a bit standoffish with the Brits until some of them got to know us then they became more friendly. The one thing I would say is that the staff are always in the bars and restaurants taking advantage of the AI, although we didn't see anyone ever getting or drinking alcohol but we've never seen this before and made it like a staff canteen at times. It's probably part of their pay contract but doesn't look good when customers have paid a substantial amount to stop here.

The activities are really good, although it became so hot that we didn't try many of them. The activies stop at 12.30pm and start again at 3.00pm. There are plenty of exercise classes, tennis lessons, bikes, archery, banana and lots more. The entertainment team work really hard and there is plenty on at night. There is also an ampitheatre which has dance acts on. We loved Emerson the Brazilian (who is part of the entertainment team) a dancer and aquarobics instructor, so camp. He is always happy and made our holiday, we loved him to bits.

Despite one or two criticisms this is a great resort, although it is a bit like the village in The Prisoner. There is no traffic and supposedly no access to outsiders but if anyone came in from the marina, or past the barrier, where we weren't asked for any proof of ID, there doesn't seem to be anything to stop them taking advantage of the AI. On the Thursday a lot of German students arrived and our hearts sank but to our surprise, although they had a great time, they didn't get drunk and behave badly even with the AI and were always respectful to us. A credit to their country I have to say. The one thing that would stop us returning would be the long transfer from the airport at nearly 2 hours. All in all a very relaxing week here after cruising down the coast of Turkey and visiting all the various sites.

First time we have been on an 'all inclusive' and booked the holiday because of the reviews.

We totally agree with everything already said and it exceeded our expectations!

The ‘relax pool’ is….. just so relaxing! Always plenty of sun loungers/ parasols everywhere, either beside the pools or sea . Staff are very friendly; food quality and choice – excellent; rooms so clean. Entertainment was great and met some lovely people [ David & Esther….I’ll never forget the story about the owl, was so funny :) ]

Happy memories of a totally relaxing holiday and we would definitely go back.

Just come back from our second stay at Club Magic Life, Marmaris, Turkey. Looking very likely that we will go back again next year! We can't rate this hotel enough for the absolutley excellent way in which you are looked after and entertained. The hotel staff just know how to look after their guests. The entertainment team headed up by Aisha, are in a word, awesome! From Reggae and foam parties on the beach, to pool games, nightly shows in the ampitheatre and on the pier, this place has it all. I would also highly recommend the Private Water sports company on the beach. Sidat and his team are fantastic. From teaching my Wife to Sail a Catamaran, and for conquering my fear of Parasailing, they are just a brilliant team! My heartfelt thanks go out to you all. We look forward to seeing them all again next year! Keep up the good work Club Magic Life.......Andy and June, Engalnd!

Just came back with the other half from magic life, lovely place well set back from the main town. Lovely place but felt that it was more catered for Germans as they seemed to be catered for first in all aspects. Other than that as we didnt mind to much. Bus into town was cheap and easy every 30 mins. Grounds are set out in the mountains so not so easy for the unfit we are both gym people but after a few many beers it was hard work plus I fell down the steps not my fault though blame the coctails at the beach party lol!!

Food was lovely themed every nite you can have a fab time at Magic life and once you get talking to the staff they are very friendly and will try cater to every need. Not for younger party people but for the more mature, lovely touch in the evenings as large bean bags were placed by candle light in the evening so made a romantic getaway and no screaming kids bliss.

Over all couldnt really fault the place and may one day return.

Had a fantastic week at Magic Life. Staff, food, entertainment, facilities, everything was tip top. We've stayed in many all inclusives, but this was the best. One person I have to mention in particular is the hotel doc. I managed to break my toe on the last day. After having a look at my foot, he put us in his car, drove us the 20 mins into town, guided me through the x-ray and dressing process and then took us back to the hotel and all for nothing. He was brilliant - so friendly and relaxed about everything. Hopefully, you won't have to visit him, but if you do, be prepared to be well looked after. Wish he worked in our hospital on the NHS!

We really liked this hotel and would come again but would try to ensure that our room was close to the main building. The reason is that the rooms are built in blocks of 4 on a hillside and there are many stairs and steep slopes. There is a shuttle service based on the use of "Golf Buggy Like Vehicles" which is very useful.

The fact that this site is built on the hillside overlooking the sea is what makes it so attractive. The whole site is fairly spread but very well layed out with lots of trees and bushes.

The rooms were better than I expected and quite a reasonable size with balconies generally facing towards the sea ( generally through the trees)

There wasa large selection at all meal times of buffet food which should be able to cater for most peoples tastes. The quality varied but there where some very good dishes and the pastries / bread were excellent. We did dine in the a la carte restaurant one night ( no extra charge but bookable the day before) and this was excellent.

The big problem with eating was the number of wasps that appear. They are a pain but you don't see them anywhere else but in the restaurants. The staff do thier best to get rid of them but not totally successfully.

There are various areas where there are sun beds and we had no problem getting them at any time. The great thing is that you can sit around two different pools, beside the sea on a concrete promenade or on a beach.

There are mainly German guests which was unfortunate as we had to sit with them and watch England lose 4-1 to them in the World Cup!!!

Some of the entertainment was good but th "Cinderella" show did not appeal to us. If you like water sports there are a number of things provided for free (eg skiing, banana boot) and on site there is also a water sports facility where you hire all sorts of things such as canoes, jet skis etc.

We are not couple that usually want to return to the same hotel but we would definitely like to come here again.
