“Best Hotel Ever!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

We have only just returned yesterday from a 10 night stay at the Hotel Marbella and are already looking to book again for next year! We stayed half board and upgraded to a sea view room which is a must as the views from the balcony are amazing!

We travelled with Jet2 and the transfer from the airport to the hotel took around 90 minutes including a stop along the way. We arrived just after midnight and were greeted with a complementary bottle of wine, turkish delight and biscuits in the room. The room was absolutely immaculate and beautifully decorated and the shower was better than anything I've used at home! There was a hair dryer in the bathroom which was handy as saved a lot of room and weight in my luggage.

There was a lot to choose from at breakfast including breads, pastries, fresh fruits, jams, cereals, beans, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit juices, teas and coffees etc. There was also the option of having fresh omelettes made for you. Dinner consisted of salads, pastas, rice, potatoes, fish and cooked meats. The deserts were also delicious with lots of cakes, pastries, fruits and ice cream.

The location was perfect, just a 30 minute walk to the centre of Marmaris and about an hour to Icmeler. You can also catch a bus, or Dolmus, into either town. Blue bus into Marmaris was just 2TL and orange bus into Icmeler was 2.50TL. There is also the option of travelling via taxi boat. The hotel was in walking distance to a supermarket, little shops with all the necessities and even a McDonald's. A 5/10 minute walk along the beach front at night would get you to more lively bars.

The staff in this hotel are absolutely fantastic and make your stay really enjoyable. They really make an effort to get to know every guest at the hotel and are always happy to help.

Before going we were worried that the pool was going to be quite busy due to its size but it really doesn't need to be any bigger. The pool area was never busy as there is the option to have a free sun bed on the beach. There is also a private jetty with sunbeds on, an ideal location to soak up the sun. The pool side bar had a great variety of cocktails to chose from and we drank here most nights! The music around the hotels was turned off around half 12 every night so your sleep was not disturbed.

There are a lot of excursions that are really worth the money with lots of boat trips, activities and water sports to chose from so there is something for everyone. We also visited the Icmeler market on Wednesday which was an interesting experience, always haggle and if you're firm you will get what you're after for the price you want! I recommend going for a Turkish bath at the beginning of your holiday as it preps your skin for tanning, I'm now left with a lovely glow and healthy skin!! This consisted of sauna, scrub, foam massage and oil massage for 30TL.

We could honestly not think of a single fault with this hotel and can't wait to book again!!

Many thanks to Hotel Marbella for making our holiday really fantastic!!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a sea view room!

Location
For myself and my partner this was a perfect location - 30 minute slow walk to marina and 45 minute to Icmeler - away from the Bar Street but alongside restaurants and bars

Room
Room comprised of two single beds, balcony with small table and chairs, amazing walk in shower, dresser and built in wardrobe.

Hair dryer, kettle with mugs, mini fridge, TV - only had one English channel which was BBC World News

Complimentary tea, coffee, bottle of wine, two bottles of water, Turkish delight and biscuits.

For us, the room was a little small but it was liveable, we had a sea view so was lovely to sit on the balcony.

Cleanliness was perfect, maid service was everyday or when required and we even saw our room get hoovered and mopped which in some hotels they never do until you leave!

Breakfast
We stayed B&B, breakfast comprised of omelettes made fresh with ingredients of your choice such as cheese, tomato, onions, etc. pancakes, scrambled egg, beans, croissants, a variety of bread (toaster available), cereals, salad, fruit, ham and cheese selection, sweet treats, fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Omelettes were lovely. No english bacon or sausages available. Cereals weren't of great quality, tasted similar to the duped cheaper brands you get in supermarkets and all of them were soft as they are exposed to air.

WiFi
When we booked this hotel we were saddened that this was one of the few hotels that didn't offer WiFi, however because it is available in the reception area and our room was located two floors above, we were able to scrape a connection on our balcony which made our stay even better

i have just returned this morning from the hotel marbella, we stayed for 10 days, the hotel is outstanding, its really beautiful, peaceful and so laid back and relaxing. The rooms are very comfortable, shower is amazing, beds are comfortable, as said before you get a complementary bottle of wine with turkish delight and biscuits also tea making facilities, and a fridge with mini bar although slightly pricey, nice when you need a bottle of water. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Food i personally think is hit n miss, when its nice its delicious, but when its not its a bit boring and repetative, but please dont get me wrong i am a bit fussy about food, The views from the restaurant are fantastic and eating outside is a must, lovely experience, i definately would do the marbella again if i was to go to marmaris

Room Tip: sea view is a must do.

I can only agree with all the other reviews that I read, that this hotel is excellent. The service was marvelous and the food wonderful. I would highly recommend the a la carte restaurant especially sitting on the jetty for a beautiful setting
If I go to this area again I will certainly be booking in at this hotel

My 1st time to turkey and after reading really good reviews on here we decided to stay here, I we were not disappointed I was amazed at the reception really helpful and friendly and when we got to our room we were greeted with a bottle of wine and turkish delights compliment of the hotel, we opened the curtains to c the view and wow its amazing sea view and the shower in the room is better than most in the uk. The only slight down side is that the prices st the bar are a bit pricey. Sun beds are free at pool and beach and staff are happy to help with anything. Definitely will return.
