My family have been visiting this hotel for the last 4 years and not once have we been disappointed with anything. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel Is spotless and the food is delicious. It's situated in the perfect spot... Not too calm yet not too lively. If u want lively its 5 mins to marmaris or if u prefer chilled its 5 mins the other way to icemeler. We have booked up and cannot wait for May to get out there again... Especially as it's been refurbished this last year.

I stayed here with my partner at the start of August for 1 week B & B. It was our first visit to Turkey. We arrived at the hotel via a private taxi (luxurious Mercedes vito) which was booked separately via the Internet. We arrived at the hotel and our cases were taken to our room for us. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was very modern and tastefully decorated. We had a side sea view room which still provided us with a good view. There were some complementry Turkish delight and biscuits left for us in our room as well as a bottle of wine. The room also had a minibar. The hotel restaurant was great, the breakfast selection was amazing. We booked dinner one of the nights which was also buffet style, again a great selection of food. The pool was always busy however still managed to get a sun lounger everyday. I would recommend the Turkish bath at the hotel, it was pretty expensive (compared to other places) but was definitely worth it!! The location of the hotel is great, there are lots of nice restaurants near to the hotel. You can haggle pretty much anything in turkey including the price of your food. We both had a great holiday, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had our 5th time in Sunrise four weeks ago, and the first after the full renovation of the Hotel. We were really curious about the difference, comparing the "new" hotel to the "old".
There is not a reason to be disappointed, the Sunrise keeps it's high level.
The staff is permanently perfect, working very hard during the day, they can smile always and do their job as it happened before every time. We asked for 3 rooms on the top floor in advance, and we got these ones simply at the check-in without a word. It was seemingly natural. Thanks.
Everything is okay with the breakfast, as it was earlier...Start with pancakes and omelette at the morning...and you can find everything else you want to...Absolutely enough for the day, to survive till the time of dinner.
And - have they a new chef? :) - the buffet-dinner was even better, improved, if it's possible. Good tastes, huge salad-bar, 7-8 main meals, full house of desserts. And everything is perfect. (The weakest point of dinner was a new thing: live music with a pianist...we had not ear-plugs...well, we laughed mostly. Not a high level.)
The hotel is clean in- and outside, you can always find sunbeds at the pool easily, the isolation is very good. Our rooms were on the Grand Azur side. Almost always there was a music to midnight, but this was not too loud, didn't bothering us...if you don't like it, you can close the windows - and everything is silent. (The Dora Hotel side is different, the music /?/ there is very loud, and in the reality not music...but electric helter-skelter with electris bass and drums...and almost full day.) But go back to our side and rooms: no any noises from the floor or other rooms.
The rooms are spacious, the balcony - you may call it terrace - is very big, with nice view.

The things that were not so...
The refurbishing made on a minimalist way "we want to be very modern...". Aesthetically more or less okay, but functionally not the most succesful we've seen...The reception-hall and the lowest level has lost their personal feeling...and even the restaurant. Everything work...but "cool"...in every meaning of the word. Not too friendly.
In the rooms the situation is a little bit similar. The room itself good, comfortable, as I mentioned, spacious, with big windows to watch the sea. /We were sorry that the stay of the balcony is from stone...in the lower floors it' from glass - far nicer panoramic view, even from the beds.../
Good minibar, reasonable prices, coffee-tea kettle,. But the bathroom...it's divided for three parts. The outer is the washbasin, this part is opened to the room (not nice, but not so important), and without towels....hm...The middle is the WC, it can be closed of course, but the towels are only there. It means that from the washbasin /and of course from the shower-cabin/ you must step into the toalet for towel every time. Very modern, not ugly...but practically bad. Why?
The shower itself is very good, the biggest I've ever tried...liked it.
In the duel of funcionality and "aesthetics" the first is the loser - and seemingly without a real reason.
The Sunrise is not only was one the bests in Marmaris: it's one of the bests till now...and will be I think. The "problems" I've mentioned are not too important...only a slight feeling, that it could have made better. But it's not too late with few things.
Finally: try the beach-bar of Grand Azur in the evening: very good music...and the restaurant called "Ali..."...it's a really good one.
And the most important: good to be in the Sunrise...we'll be back few times...and I can recommend it to everyone...

This was our first trip to Turkey for me and my partner and we could'nt have wished to stay in a better hotel. It's situated right on the beach in an excellent location. As it was the end of he season, the hotel was only about a quarter full so we had no trouble getting a sunbed but even if it was full there looked to be plenty of space for sunbeds round the pool and on the beach.
The staff were all freindly and very helpful and it was a nice touch to have a bottle of red wine in the room when we arrived. The rooms and the rest of the hotel was spotless as the hotel was refurbished this year.
There's lots of places to eat close to the hotel and I would recommend the Samdan restaraunt across the road for great food at a reasonable price. We got a breakfast there on the last day because we fancied a lie in and ate at about 11 o'clock, it was superb value 4.99 turkish lira for a breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, fried bread and toast and jam, that worked out about £1.40. It was the same on a night at most of the eating places with lots offering 2 courses for about a fiver.I would recommend Always bar about 10 mins walk from the hotel towards the marina. We ate at the marina one night, the food was no better than the places around the hotel but it was a bit pricier but still reasonable. The food in the Blackpool bar was nice but I'm afraid the drinks were poor and seemed watered down and the entertainment (Roxy Tart the drag act) was terrible.
The boat trips from the beach were also excellent value, we had a great time, all day on the boat with lunch and sunbeds for about £8.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and wouldnt hesitate to come back to this hotel, in fact we will probably come back next year but maybe a bit earlier, they say september is the best time.

We were very unsure about going to Turkey - we had some very mixed reviews from people. Having read the ratings for this hotel, we decided to take a chance. What a great place! We had an absolutely wonderful time. The rooms were beautiful, modern and clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful and we so enjoyed eating outside every day. Meals were not always fantastic, but we never went hungry. Turkey is wonderful and we really enjoyed it.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are a side view although there were some rooms on the front which are probably more e...
