Working in management of a four star hotel in England, i know a lot about hotels and how they are successful. Reading some reviews before i came here i was certain that this hotel would be okay as a base point. Away from the hustle and bustle but an easy walk away from the sea front and bars, the location was great. Coming with my sister for a bit of a boozy holiday and to catch up with some relatives in Turkey, we weren't expecting much from this hotel as it was very cheap and was basically needed as a place to rest our heads. On Arrival we were politely greeted and bags taken straight off our hands even tho it was half five in the morning! The two pools were more than enough and very clean. The staff at the seler went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were happy to help us with anything we needed, from lifts into town to go karting in the afternoon!

We were lucky enough to be there for Martins Wedding and all of us, guests and staff pulled together with decorations, the whole place had a real family feel to it. I would definitely say this hotel is excellent for families with young children, having seen myself whilst we were there how friendly they all were. I know a lot of you may be reading this review and thinking that we spent a lot of time with the staff and that is why i may be talking so well of them, but i can assure you there wasn't one guest in the whole ten days i stayed there who didn't have a laugh with the staff, and everyone knew each others names, they're just so relaxed about everything and really make you feel welcome.

The food in the restaurant is of a good standard and fairly priced. Basically I would confidently recommend this hotel to any of my friends because of the sheer friendliness and helpfulness of the staff there.

All in all, if you go on holiday to stay in a luxury hotel where everything is pristine and immaculate, you wont love this place, but if you go on holiday for amazing memories, an experience to remember and staff that make you feel right at home, you will Love Seler Otel.

Jade.

p.s.. Miss you all, Mehmet, Martins, Ali, Serdar, Nalan! Take care. Tessekur !

my partner and i have been going to turkey for 9 years now ,, our first visit was to the seler and we have been back to the hotel to stay as well as to visit every year since..... they all made us feel part of a family.. it is a family run hotel with very friendly staff to whom nothing was too much trouble. .. as we have a lot of friends in Turkey now even if we go to visit others we still make sure we spend a few days at the seler...

This hotel may be cheap, but it doesn't cost much to keep a place clean. Cats run freely around the restaurant. Pool not ft to swim in, cats urinate on sun beds. Air con unit in room was full of grime. 24 hour bar is ok if your room is not right next to it. Breakfast is a Joke. Wish I could put pics on I took of this hell hole.

Once again the Seler Hotel made our stay a pleasure. Owing to the fact that Mehmet and Martin arranged our wedding made the stay that much more memorable. Value for money and more importantly you are made to feel so welcome. Our wedding day was fantastic with everything being perfect due to the dedication of the Seler Hotel team.

The hotel is basic, its basically what you pay for so you cant complain.Since its a B&B hotel, there are no fridges or any S/C things within the room. The balconys can be a little small depending on what room you have, fitting 2 chairs with barely any space. The shower/bathroom was small but okay apart from the floor getting flooded off the shower due a small curtain which didnt keep the water in the shower. I wasn't too fond of the food, you could get better food down the road for a cheaper price. Pay for drinks when you get them as they add extra drinks to your bill and once youve had a few you'd be less likely to remember what you've had. i wouldnt touch the breakfast you get, i had one look and it had flys crawling all over everything, absolutely horrible. The pools are small but okay. The staff were helpful when we had some problems but the language barrier was a problem, they seem to speak very limited english which when trying to explain things, made everything 10x harder. one major complaint is there is a person who sits behind/next to the bar, everytime we walked in and out of the hotel he clearly looked me up and down, making me feel really awkward and uncormfortable. The staff also bothered less as we didn't spend much money within the hotel.
the beach is around a 10 minute walk, the main street is a few minutes down the road so not a bad location. There is a shop directly across the road which is cheap and very handy!
Aircon was £30 per week.
I wouldn't return back to this hotel nor would i recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the hotel are cooler in the morning but doesnt get sun on them untill late...
