“Can not fault! Amazing!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 via mobile

Stayed here between 16th June and 24th June! Hotel location is perfect just set back slightly from Marmaris centre, there is a bus provided by the hotel to take you to the beach each day and also a local bus which stops outside which is very cheap and regular to take you to town or anywhere you might like.

Could not have been made to feel more welcome at this hotel. The staff are excellent, they are all so polite and helpful and they make your stay enjoyable. The waiting staff are all excellent, especially Cemil he was always very helpful and remembered our order.
The service manager Tamer was also excellent and always had us laughing!

The food was A+++ always a massive variety, always very tasty, and always loads of it!

The rooms were nice and always spotlessly clean thanks to the lovely cleaner.
I never used the spa but the man who runs it is always entertaining and very chatty.

Literally the only downside to this hotel is the entertainment. The entertainment staff don't seem like they can be bothered at all.
The other staff entertained us more!

Overall a brilliant stay!
We will most certainly be back!
Thankyou

We booked all inclusive for a very good price and had a lovely holiday. The food, although not a huge choice was very good and beautifully presented, the deserts were excellent. This was my first experience dining around the pool on an evening and it proved to be a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The lads around the pool, especially mehmet and ali, excelled themselves day after day and provided a service the hotel should be proud of. Lots of staff all giving 100 %, apart from the 'entertainment team' who couldn't muster up any enthusiasm between themselves never mind the guests. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable time made all the better by lovely staff.

Room Tip: All rooms smallish and the same size

We have now been holidaying in Marmaris, Turkey since 2009. Wish we had discovered this beautiful country and people much earlier. In the 6 years we have stayed in Marmaris eight times seven of which have been at the Grand Faros Hotel. We return there year after year because for us the hotel is ideal. It is situated in a quiet area of Marmaris but there are numerous restaurants and clubs within easy walking distance. For those wanting the bustle of the seafront the local bus stops outside the hotel and for a fare of 2Tl will take you into the centrum with the bazaar, restaurants, shops and of course Bar Street for the younger and more adventurous of an evening. Alternatively the hotel provide a free shuttle bus to their sister hotel on the seafront. The hotel itself is marvellous and the staff are polite and efficient making your holiday as relaxing as possible. The pool is not massive by any means but is adequate and well maintained. The hotel is not all glitz and glamour but has a certain charm, the only downside I could note is the lack of storage space in the rooms especially the bathroom if like us you regularly stay for up to 3 weeks or more. The cleaning staff are very efficient and friendly and your room is cleaned daily. The buffet breakfast whilst unvaried is more than adequate whilst the evening meals are very good with the meat and fish being freshly barbecued. No visit to Turkey is complete without a Turkish bath and massage. Whilst the local hamam is only two minutes walk away the hotel boasts a marvellous gymnasium and a superb hamam of its own, Veysel will be only too pleased to explain the facilities available when you arrive. We have the full program when we get there and it sets you up for the rest of your stay. Entertainment is not the strong point at the hotel but the new team are trying hard to make changes and I must admit that this year was the most enjoyable for some time. If you are looking for somewhere as a relaxing base to explore the rest of the Marmaris area then you could do worse than stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: We prefer 5th floor as the balconies tend to be larger, poolside can be noisy of a night.

I stayed in this hotel from 24th May to 7th June 2014. Room 321. Morgan Paulle

The hotel is in a brilliant location, 20 mins walking to the town/Marina of Marmaris if you want to party, but far enough to be quiet and pieceful. Its not near the beach, but it does have its own private beach should you wish to use it, they do run a shuttle bus several times a day, but you can get the number 4 "dolmush" bus which stops right outside the hotel (other dolmusst buses do stop here to, but check with the staff).

The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are very clean and comfy with balconies to all rooms.

The hotel staff and manager were fantastic, friendly, helpful and attentive when needed. This was my first time in Marmaris and this hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

I was on a half-board package, and I must say the food was varied and plentiful, not to say very healthy (but you can have chips if you like).

The hotel entertainment does need a tweek, but one the whole it was good just to sit and watch it while having a drink.

My ONLY critasim of the hotel is the health suite - i am a regular gym user and even on holiday i like to train regulary, the equipment is very dated and does need updating - but hey not everyone wants to use the gym on holiday.

During the hight of summer I have been told there are lots of teenagers and 20 sometings, but at the begiing and near the end of season (Sept/Oct) its very mixed with guest of all ages and nationalities from Europe - a great experience if you like to meet new people.

Would definatley recommend this hotel for familes, couples or groups of frineds holidaying together like i was.

Just returned from a week staying in Grand Faros. We have stayed here perfectly and find it to be a great base to explore Marmaris.

This place is not on the beach - but is probably about a mile out from the centre - and easy walk or you can catch the local Dolmas bus (dark blue number 4) which stops outside the hotel every 10 minutes or so and takes you direct into the centre (cost about 50p).

The hotel is simple and fairly basis, through rooms have a fridge, air con and flat screen TV's as standard.

We were on a B&B rate (they offer half and full board as well as all inclusive).

Breakfast ofered a good variety of foods from fresh cooked eggs and omlettes throiugh to cheeses and meats. The fresh bread is a must!

We often ate at the pool bar for lunch - very reasonable for a snacky type menu offering decent pizza, burgers and some awesome salads.

The pool area itself is kept spotlessly clean - the staff there are all over it all the time to keep it clean and tidy.

In terms of cost - this lace is a cheap as you can get. You may get cheaper, but it will be nowhere near as good as this.

The massive plus for this place is the staff led by Tamir (great guy). They are so friendly and polite but never encroach too much.

Top marks for this place - because it ticked all of our boxes. We will be back.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a pool view.
