We stayed at the kinli apartments for 2 weeks and had no problem what so ever. Considering the price we paid we could not expect more. The hotel staff were very friendly and we were looked after very well. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we had no problems with any insects of the sort! This was our second time in marmaris, and definetly enjoyed our stay more this' year than the least! The swimming pool was not so small, but was a genuine size when considering the size of the apartments. The location was great as we were not too far from the beach and we could see a glimpse of this from opur balcony, we were away from the loud noise and music which was good. We would without a doubt visit princess kinli again and have recommended it to our family and friends.

From reading previous reviews about the hotel and the staff we where bit reluctant about staying in the hotel, but after 2 weeks we would stay there again. The staff were very helpfull and freindly and we were made to feel like family, the hotel rooms were allways kept clean but they were basic, the equipment for the kitchen was again basic and consisted of a electric 2 burner hob and some general utensils and pans how ever it was easy to cope with, but if your eating out most nights its not much of a problem. The pool was of a reasonable size but wouldnt call it a "puddle" as we read on some reviews. The Bar at the hotel was reasonable priced and the food was very good. Reading previous reviews we were also a bit worried about meeting Errol but he was very helpfull, friendly and funny but he did have a lot of responsibilitys such as cooking, working the bar, cleaning the pool and being a general handy man around the hotel. The hotel was very well located and was a 5 minute walk to the beach, there was also a small shop up the road from the hotel that had all the basic things you might need. Overall was a great holiday and would stay at this hotel again

On arrival to our hotel at Princess Kinli Hotel, around 11pm, we were shown to our room. After ten minutes the manager moved us to another room as the gentleman, Erol, had allocated us to the wrong room. On entrance to the 2nd room I immediately noticed a cockroach on the floor and Erol had backed away and leaped over the balcony and entered the next room via the back door. He moved us again and offered us a free drink in the bar to apologise or the inconvenience. We accepted the offer and went down the bar. Whilst we were there we noticed a lot of cockroaches on the floor and around the pool. Not long after, we discovered cockroaches all around the bar, liquor bottles and around the pool. We felt very uncomfortable, so decided to go to bed after a long day of travelling. Back at the room I looked around. The bathroom was smaller than 2 metres wide and very cramped. The “shower” was a shower head and when I turned it pointed over the toilet. There was no drain visible until I moved the toilet brush over the other side of the bathroom to discover a small hole in the floor filled with water. Obviously this was where the water was to drain after a shower and as it was already filled with water neither of us had a shower that night at the risk of flooding the room. I inspected our facilities, as we were self catering. We had a 2 burner hob with a loose knob and one was also missing. The fridge was warm and inside was mouldy and rusty. We didn’t even have a kettle! The plug sockets were loose and screws were missing. I didn’t feel safe leaving our luggage at the hotel while we were out as the back door wouldn’t lock. After half an hour of being back in the room we went to bed. When I pulled back the bed covers there appeared to be tiny dead flies on the pillow. I assumed this was because the windows were all open when we got there. After 20 minutes sleep I woke up to hearing my friend screaming. A cockroach had fallen from the wooden slatted ceiling onto her whilst she was asleep and she woke to see it on her arm. The wood looked warped and damp. From 12am until 7am we sat on the balcony as this seemed to be the only place we could go without seeing cockroaches coming from underneath the sofa and the fridge. All night we could hear the back door of the previous room banging open and closed. At 7am we walked to the beach and wasted time until 12.30pm for the arrival of our rep, Mark Emery, at 12.45pm. On his arrival I expressed my concern about the above matter. Without delay he came into investigate and confirmed that all the above were indeed problems. He asked me to fill in a complaints form and I had stated all the problems above. He also happened to drop into conversation that a holiday maker who departed a few days before our arrival had mumps. I was disgusted that we hadn’t been told by the transfer rep on the arrival to the hotel. Immediately we made the decision to request to move hotels. Mark said that the cockroaches are about because of the weather and the time of year. I beg to differ was we didn’t see any outside of the hotel and when we asked locals and other holiday makers they said they had no problems with infestations in their hotels. From 1pm on Monday 27th until 6pm mark had been making calls backwards are forwards with his manager finding us alternative accommodation and suitable prices. While waiting for a call back mark had been to see the manager to ask her to sign the complaint form to say that the problem had been recorded and we could hear her arguing with mark. She was telling him that we were over-reacting. She didn’t even come up to the room to identify the problem for herself or to see the cockroaches that we’d caught under a bowl. We were finally offered the Romance hotel for £480.00. We reluctantly paid the amount we began making our own way to the romance hotel with our luggage. Admittedly mark as very help and understanding.

Room Tip: the rooftop room so if you have cockroach they arent outside
