“great hotel- entertainment average!”
Reviewed 18 June 2012

We have just returned from a week all inclusive at club alize. All the previous reviews about cleanliness, staff, food and location were all pretty spot on. We arrived quite late on the first evening ( after midnight) we went to the bar and were told that if we wanted drinks then we would have to pay!!!. Popped over the road to Cousins where we recieved a really warm welcome where it was 'Bogof' ( buy one get one free) on all drinks. We then went to our room. Pleasantly surprised. Clean room with self catering facility- four bottles of water in the fridge. Our room over looked the road which was quite noisy but not unbearable. The hotel was spotless, rooms cleaned everyday and sheets and towels changed. We did not see a piece of litter anywhere and there were always cleaners .
Food was fab. My husband who is a fussy eater managed to find something. Big range of food, although I would say some of the evening stew type foods were not great and need to be reviewed as am sure not many people ate these. Puddings were fabulous and everything was hot and always looked beautiful. Freshly cooked pancakes and omlettes in the morning, cooked breakfast once - twice a week and a Sunday roast!!! My daughter was in her element as icecream 3-5 pm, her personal best was 12!!
The hotel entertainment team worked really hard but we felt that it was very male orientated with little for the children. Male polo games, darts and 'slapstick turkish humour' which seemed to be lost on the audience. The Pool dance which was initiated by the entertainment team was pretty suggestive and embarressing. Mini disco for 2-8yr olds was fine but repetitive . There did not seem much for the older children or women( maybe a womens polo match would be good guys?!! )
The resort of marmaris itself was ok . Nice castle on marina with family of tortoises in residence Felt like we had to run the gauntlet of traders trying to sell you their merchandise or trips. Felt sorry for these guys as obviously only trying to make a living and as alot of hotels are now all inclusives it is obviously taking its toll on the restaurants and shops. Good waterpark ( aquadream) clean and not busy plus free sun loungers. You cannot take your own food or water in and have to put money on a card for food before going in.
Overall we had a good week at Club Alize , everyone works really hard and nothing is too much trouble, if they tweeked the entertainment a bit it would be first class. Well done to all at club alize

This is my third time in turkey but the first time with my family,This is a lovely clean well staffed hotel with a top entertainment team,we all had a turkish bath on site on are first day which we really enjoyed.good shop, photographer, and got well looked after by ozy the barber who also did my two girls hair.Good choice of food for my four children even one who is quite fussy, the only thing that did my head in was as soon as you had finished your food the trolley lads were collecting the plate before it had touched the table(this aint there fault, they are getting watched very closely)Fifi, dodo, borat, celo, hussain, jam did there best to get to know all on site by first name as soon as they arrived working hard all day, well done lads.would also add its well worth crossing the road to cousins where jack looks after all very well and the scrans good to.Thanks again,Daz,sal, pad,ni,caitlin, ciara.

We just got back on 13.06.12 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We like others booked last minute and were not sure what to expect. We used Trip Advisor and although a few not so good reviews most reviews were good so that made our mind up although we were completely open minded. Our rooms (we had 2) were spot on and cleaned every day we were there. They had a small cooker, a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge which already had some water chilling in in case we were thirsty after travelling. We went down for breakfast on day 1 and were happy to find egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato and beans plus numerous cereals, fruit, bread and juices. Dinner was also pleasant as you had a choice of pizza, burger, chicken nuggets, chips etc by the pool bar or go inside for restaurant food. Evening meals were also similar with various choices inside or out. The pool was very clean and enjoyable and the entertainment team not only had plenty of time for the adults but more so for the kids who they made extra time for when needed. ( Big hello to FiFi, Do Do and Ci-Lo, good job lads) Evening entertainment was enjoyable although some evenings we spent walking along the sea front enjoying a local drink or shopping. We didn't get much hassle from pubs or restaurants and found everyone really friendly. Another must is the water park on the beach front as its brilliant for both kids and adults and only cost us about £35 for a family of 6. I have never been to Turkey although my wife has but we will definitely be returning to Club Alize next June only next time for 2 weeks. Everybody is different but if your a normal family with kids this hotel is ideal. Finally a big hello to Paddy, Niall and family great bunch hope to see you again, hi to Lexy and family, fantastic little girl and a shout to Chip, Willow and girls. Great holiday with some fantastic people.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool are excellent but also we had a room overlooking Cousins bar opposite and no p...

spent week from 4th june weather fantastic, hotel clean, food ok if your not fussy, rooms average curtains dont shut fully, no black out blinds so up by 530 had no choice, beds very uncomfortable esp the hardboard sofa ones. thought most of the entertaintment team were stuck up their own backsides( loved themselves ). apart from a dance by the pool and 1 day putting balls in aglass and a mini mini mini disco for ages 3-8 the childrens entertainment was non existent even the awful shows at night were full of carry on films inuendos, adults were kept amused throughout the day ranging from darts poolside games water polo ( took the middle of the pool up mid afternoon ) pity they didnt put more effort into the kids with it being afamily hotel. maybe its because the hotel complex is so confined ( lie by the pool or sit down and eat ) if you are a large family and have requested rooms next to each other dont get your hopes up and dont ask the blond girl on reception to help you as you would get more response from a brick.dont pre book a late room with thompsons at £35 as only £20 at hotel. thompsons kids club reps were fantastic they worked really hard keeping our kids amused in a hut at the back of the hotel at certain times during the day, if your an alchoholic( welcome to detox ) beer flatter than the pancakes served in the morning and could drink the vodka till the cows came home and still drive to the corner shop for my papers, this after standing in a queue while one guy behind the bar served with occasional help from the boss man.overall thank goodness it wasnt raining cos how the entertainment team would have amused us and our children god only knows lol. needless to say will not be returning to club alize! hope you enjoy yours more than ours.

Room Tip: rooms on every floor from 01 to 013 are by the road and another hotel so very noisy

litterally just back from club alize. i will start with the negatives which was eddies excursions. really thought it was only me who had a problem with them, but noticed some one else did. we went ona moonlight cruise which was meant to be 7.30 to 10.30 to take in marmaris coastline at night with a meal. got picked up on time, and from their on it kind of went downhill, from going through side streets to music blaring on the bus, to too many on it. anyways eddie reasuured our little boy would get chips as he was a fussy eater so he hadnt had anything from lunch time. arrived on boat, took in the lovely sights, then it all went horribly wrong. some sleazy guy who loved himself started gyrating like some fool to music, then shortyl joined by the driver of the boat (over 50) that when i knew we where on a party boat. so we where stuck beside a massive speaker with music blaring all nigh, exceeded 10.30 and went on until 12. was fuming as my littl boy was shattered and starving didnt receive the chips as promised. then a belly dancer arrived on which was akward (full of stretch marks aswell)anyway went next day to get all my money back as we had booked 4 (£60) eddie wasnt there. told to come back, after 8 visits and 2 days, i eventually got him. only to offer me half the money. my little boy was scared to go on a boat due to what hapened, so there was no way he was wanting to go to turtle island. anyway eddie i know you read these so a "hiya buddy" hope this puts people of your company. anyways back to the posotives. club alize..WOW after a 14 hour delay we eventaully arrived to an immaculate room, friendly staff and scorching weather. the entertainers fifi, dodo, celo ect were amazing. from my kid finding them brillian(4) to me (25), actaully gutted to say bye to them.dont know how any one can fault the food. different every night from sunday roast, to a turkish night. i had heaped plates every night and im fussy. fealt like eating in britain.juice was actaul pepsi, fanta ect. ice cream was carte dor, bear was effies, so all the best of the best. got to commend all staff from cleaners to management. even the guy that sweaps up litterally had sweaped it up before it had fell on the floor. lol. would recommend a turkish bath..wow amazing.tattooist looked amazing, turkish shave was good and "turkish primark was really good aswell. would love to go next year but my fear of flyinh has beat me. hope this has helped any one who doubted this place.
