Emre Beach

Reviewed 29 October 2012

Spent a week at the Emre Beach Hotel back in August of this year, wasnt quite sure what to expect as I had read good and bad reviews.
I was very pleased with the hotel in general, great staff all very polite and friendly and very hard working might i add.
Food was great, plenty of choice for the family and very healthy.
If you are looking for burgers nuggets and chips to keep the kids happy then you have come to the wrong hotel.
They have a great mix of foods a lot of chicken which i dont think you can really go wrong with. I was all cooked very well.
The urkish night went down very well with my family as the stuffed breads and chicken kebab with wide variety of salads went down a treat especially after a day in the sun, really didnt feel up to a heavy dinner.
The waiters/clearing away staff were very efficient at their jobs and were more than helpful when trying to find a table. Dining are is spotless and of a good standard considering the usage it gets.
The entertainment team were a great laugh especially the killer darts every day turned out to be quite competitive. They were very polite and remembered peoples names better than i evre could.
The rooms were very clean and, the cleaner was very friendly and polite.
In general the whole hotel had a lovely friendly atmosphere and had all nationalities staying there including Turkish as it was eid at the time, they too were very friendly.
My only grumble would be that I could not get a coffee late at night as the hot drinks machine was out of bounds due to being switched off when area was closed for the night (incase of accidents) which i completely understand.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice family break/couple holiday, as everyone there was approachable and willing to help if needed.
Will most certainly be going back when i have the funds : )

Room Tip: At an extra cost you can have a seaview room which is very large and has a jacuzzi, and very large b...

Dear Madam;

We are very pleased to read that you had a fabulous holiday at Emre Beach Hotel and that you'd highly recommend our hotel.

Please note that most of our rooms do have great sea views; the rooms you are recommending are the panoramic rooms, which are larger and truly amazing views. There are only a few of those and they are available at an extra cost, but you are more than welcome to ask for availability during your check-in.

Sincerely,

This is quite a good hotel but we were a bit disappointed at paying extra for a sea view in the hotel but we were in the annex across the road with a view looking on to the busy road which was very noisy at nights. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels were changed. Most of the staff were friendly especially the cleaners who work very hard. We definately picked the wrong week to stay at the hotel as there were bus loads of teenagers partying well into the night as a result we went home feeling like another holiday as we could not sleep at night they were either knocking at doors, breaking glasses or shouting. The other gripe we have is that every time you wanted a drink or have food you had to cross the busy road. The food was very good and plenty to choose from even for the fussy eaters. All in all we had a good holiday plenty to see and do in Marmaris.

Dear Sir or Madam;

We are pleased to hear that you had a good holiday and you thought Emre Beach was a good hotel. Please note that the rooms at our sister Emre Hotel across the road are more affordable, but we are able to upgrade our guests staying at that hotel to Emre Beach at an additional cost (based on availability), as in your case.

We hope that you visit us again soon.

Sincerely,

we were at the emre beach hotel on the 1st of october 2012 for 2 weeks .our room was small but nice and clean we got the sun in our balcony in the afternoon the only thing we were looking into someones flat.we had no view. the reception staff were very nice and friendly apart from some of the bar staff it was hard work to get a smile or conversation out of therm the food was good there was lots to pick from and different choices. the pools were nice a bit cold as you only get the sun at the pool in the morning. think the hotel and pools were built back to front.we had a nice time there we did a boat trip round the bays on the black pearl boat it was a/i there was only watered down beer and vodka that tasted like water if you wanted wine or other spirits you had to pay 10 lira the chicken and pasta was ok.the little buses were great every 5 min all over town and to Icmeler .the next town.

Room Tip: corner rooms and sea facing rooms were sunny there are larger rooms at a cost.

Dear Kathy;

We are pleased to read that you thought Emre Beach Hotel was nice.

Please note that wine, gin and raki were included in the all-inclusive in addition to the vodka and beer you mentioned, so you wouldn't pay extra for wine. And we added brandy for this summer. As for beer, we offer standard Efes, the best-selling and well-known beer of Turkey. It comes in kegs, and so while it is not as strong as Guinness, it is in no way watered down...

As for the bar staff, most of them know only basic English, so it is difficult for them to strike a conversation with them, as you would do in a pub back home...

stayed here 26 august 12 until 10 september 12 , my wife and self were all inclusive, and we paid £1795 FOR WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A ROOM WITH A SEA VIEW..We were put in the anix at the back ,over looking a building site.the room was clean,but very basic for the money,i would suggest only a 2 star hotel..the food was the same every day. dont eat boiled eggs,unless you like cold water, when you cut the top off. part way through holiday,they ran out of butter, only one bar and the drinks watered down..will never go back to this dump..not recomended.

Room Tip: use another hotel

Dear Sir;

We understand you are upset because you thought you were getting a seaview room but ended up with our sister hotel across the road, but this has nothing to do with us. Either you mistakenly booked at the other hotel or your tour operator failed to inform you properly.

Please note that we never run out of butter; it is delivered regularly. If we did, you would not be the only complaining at Tripadvisor, especially since you stayed during the peak season. There was probably no butter for 5 min. during breakfast, as a new patch was being brought from the kitchen. And we only serve the best and most well-known alcoholic beverage brands. The mouths of Turkish hard liquor bottles are sealed by law, so they cannot be watered down. And the beer and wine come in special kegs, so it is impossible to water them down, either.

Have just had a great holiday away at the Emre Beach.I have read some reviews and would agree this is more like a 3* hotel.However I disagree about the drinks being severely watered down as you could always ask for more spirits in the drinks if you wanted.I traveled with my wife and young daughter and there was always something on the menu for us to eat.I would agree that sometimes the menu is repeated but that should be expected as I am sure it's the same in your own homes.The staff were all very friendly especially with my young blonde daughter who seemed to cherish all the attention.The staff who didn't speak English always tried to help or find someone who could. I would reccomend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: We had a basic room with a pool view.This was fine but apparently if you ask for a room with a panor...

Dear Andy;

We are happy to hear that you'd recommend Emre Beach Hotel. Please note that while the Turkish Ministry of Tourism rates us at 4 stars, most tour operators, who do their own evaluation, list us as 4+ stars, meaning we are closer to 5 than 3 stars- especially when compared to the other hotels in the region.

Just back from 2 weeks all inclusive at this hotel. Room was tiny but clean. Asked for a sea view but got a view of flats and someones bedroom. The turkish people in the flat were fighting most days so asked if i could be moved. Had to wait 3 days and they moved me to a better room looking out to sea. But when i went to leave they charged me £200 extra. I was furious. Also food very poor. same stuff every day and not good quality. Also drinks all watered down. No sun gets to pool threw day and sun beds all broken and covers dirty. Staff not friendley. The waiters only interested in the young thin girls they ignore everyone else. We decided after few days to go looking for a restaurant near by. Found one called SAMDAM. Food was out of this world. Amazing. Huge platefulls and fantastic quality. Staff were so friendly and made us feel so special and welcome. We have eaten out all over the world and have to say this restaurant tops them all. Would definatly go back to turkey just to eat at samdam.. love turkey and the people but wont go back to emre beach would definatley go back to samdam restaurant again.. check it out.

Room Tip: Dont look at photos on web site as these are not the rooms you will be offered. To get the room with...

Dear Jill;

Please note that while most of our rooms have great sea views, we cannot guarantee a room with a view, but if there is one available, we'll certainly move you with no extra charge. In your case, the only room with a view was a panoramic room, which is bigger and has a jacuzzi- and therefore these rooms cost extra. Our reception staff always explain this extra cost option before any upgrades.

As for the food, we have a huge menu that rotates regularly, but some items are bound to be repeated during a two-week stay. We only serve the best Turkish alcoholic brands, and all the drinks are sealed (by Turkish law), so it is impossible to water them down.

We have a large supply of sunbeds, so if one breaks down, it is replaced immediately- and we do have staff that are responsible for cleaning the sunbeds. As for the pool itself, it is outside, so it does get the sun- since it is next to the hotel, it is under the shadow of the hotel during certain times of the day.

Finally, we would like to assure you that our staff try to treat all of our guests with courtesy, without any discrimination on age and weight...

Sincerely,
