First of all, I really am clueless to where these bad reviews are coming from, nothing at all like what we experienced, first of all.. if you want 5 star luxury then book a 5 star hotel and pay the premium for it, secondly, if you go round hunting for problems, your gonna find some, in ANY hotel, and third, if you treat the hotel staff like crap or with your nose stuck in the air then your not exactly going to get 1st class service.
Went here for 10 nights (1st - 11th Sept) with my brother purely for a getaway from home, we had a brilliant time here, so much so that we'll likely stay again next year.
Firstly, the Staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, nothing was ever too much trouble, all very friendly, always chatting with you about everything and nothing, they work very long hours so i heard and you would never tell with the way they treat you, always smiling. They even did us a few favours on a couple of occasions (when they didn't have to). Our particular thanks go to the hotel owner, Ismail, what a top bloke. Also thanks to Oz, the receptionist and the bar staff, our hol' wouldn't have been the same without them, quality people.
Turkish night was hilarious (20 Lira - well worth it), my brother ended up getting the rough end of the belly dancer and ended up 'grinding' on another lad, random, (if anyone reading this has a video/photo of that i'd love a copy purely for the comical value), email me on here.
The hotel itself, rooms are good condition and as expected, good size balcony's, decent sized rooms, fridge, cleaned well and regularly. Pool area is clean, huge pool, plenty of room for everyone, good amount of loungers, one section of the pool is in the shade for a few hrs through the day, but this is not a bad thing in the blistering heat, if your a sun worshipper though there's plenty of beds in the sun all day long. Good atmosphere round the pool, met some great people. Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel lobby with sofa's etc.
Our room in particular had an amazing view over the beach, mountains, and overlooking the pool. The Hotel is located in an ideal location, directly adjacent the beach, loads of bars and restaurants surrounding it, and a short easy bus ride along the promenade to the wilder end if you want some crazy nights, (although you can walk it if you want) everyone uses these little buses, every 3 or 4 minutes, 2 Lira, green bus one way, orange the other, simples.
Can't comment on the food because we always ate out.
Overall, deffo worth a stay, DON'T let the bad reviews put you off... Loads to do, the turks make sure you have a good time, good hotel location, clean, and in particular, great service... Get it booked !!
