“Fantastic family holiday : )”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Hello , I have recently returned from grand cettia and it is a family hotel full of kids plenty to do..... And as far as people go moaning "scabby families" ..... Really ???? I enjoyed it... People were very friendly and always at hand. Our room was brilliant, garden room 1002, patio full kitchen and washing machine, jacuzzi bath and always clean. Maid is very efficient !!! It's spotless to be honest the outside area floors are cleaned 4 times a day with a machine not just hosed down! Yes it is busy but it's a popular hotel. Food gets a bit repetitive but the quality remains the same!! Very tasty ... Over all it's a very good hotel well worth a 4 !!! Yes it's a 4 not 5 for the moans !!!!! Only thing I'd warn if you have walking difficulties it does have a rather steep hill into the hotel and there's no way of getting around it except stairs

Room Tip: 1002 good family room

Stayed here 25th Sept - 3rd October. Enjoyed the entertainment, food was good. All Inclusive drinks were disappointing no cocktails and basic drinks. All the staff were really nice and the weather was great.

Let me start with the good bits...hotel is clean and had lovely view, staff friendly but defo not a 4 star hotel. Pool area is also clean and tidy, plenty of beds available.Just back from a week holiday here, I was booked into Club Cettia which was stated on my paperwork but what they don't tell you is if you are all inclusive then you are put in Grand Cettia and Club Cettia is self catering or half broad only!! So watch when booking!!

Food is very poor, no flavour and not much of an option. Alcohol is fine and good measures although cocktails are not included in the all inclusive. Entertainment is terrible, only one night out of 7 the show was actually good. Drink is served included in your all inclusive up until 11pm then after this you can moved into the Sherlock Holmes bar where you need to pay for drink!! We ended up going out some nights to get nice food and to get away from the [---] entertainment. Had a Turkish bath and massage in the spa which was really good and would recommend the spa

While staying in the hotel there was a fire and we were all vacuated. We stayed on the 5th floor only to find out there was a fire by staff knocking on our room door as no fire alarm went off!! We were one of the last people out of the hotel and there was smoke everywhere. We were allowed back into the hotel after about 30minutes as fire brigade had been. The smell of smoke in our room was terrible, had to put a towel at the bottom of the door, open the balcony door and sleep with the air con on!! Found out next day that the hotel staff had actually deactivated the fire alarm as they did not want to cause distress to the people staying in the hotel. I spoke with the rep Chris next day to be told they don't have fire alarms and it's a chap door entry system by the staff which was rubbish!! Oh and by the way the rep will tell you anything and then tells someone else something different. He doesn't have a clue

Location of the hotel is a bit far out. You can get a bus from outside the hotel to take you down to the marina but to the beach you have to walk and it's a good 20-30 minutes

Overall I would not visit this hotel again and is defo not 4 star!!

After seein nothing but fab reviews and comments about this hotel after spending a week there 29th sept to 6th oct I honestly thought I was in a different hotel as reviews didn't match what I was experiencing.
Firstly my positives are room was efficient and clean and comfortable.
After seeing it was rated for family's, as I was traveling with a 9year old I expected him to be happy and enjoy. That proved not the case, firstly it was rather cold while we were there so kids pool was a no go, it was freezing, so there was a pool table and table tennis table which all had to be paid for, I was all inclusive. One thing I expect from any hotel for family's is ice cream, not a single bit and not even for dinner time. Very disappointed. Entertainment team was all geared to adults and clearly end season they really couldn't be bothered if honest. Kids club was ok but as out of season they were putting all kids together, age 3 and up and 9 year olds don't really play same so thought slightly unfair considering there was 3 staff on. Having to pay for party's in kids club I thought was ridiculous.
Last but not least the buffet. No equipped for kids unless they eat chips and nuggets every lunch and dinner, the food was very repetitive, as in what was lunch was dinner. Lack of choice also.
So all round very disappointed at this hotel and won't be returning.

I went to this hotel late August with my partner and two boys after reading all the great reviews on Tripadvisor. I actually tried to book a different hotel but it wasn't available so we settled on the Grand Cettia. We were there at the time of the sickness outbreak which wasn't nearly as bad as was made out as other reviews have stated. I am a regular mum of two young boys and was looking forward to my holiday, however, our room was small, wasn't cleaned every day, our beds weren't made, sheets not changed and our bathroom wasn't cleaned as the same stain was on the floor over a week!! Our balcony (tiny) looked onto a wall with a staircase (lovely). Some delightful guests smoked their lungs out right outside our room each night where the ashtrays are (disgusting). The noise from people using the lift and from the room above meant I had less sleep than I get at home (cheers). The pool in soooooooo small and the tacky entertainment team love to take it over so the big boys can play water games, all the entertainment is geared towards men during the day. There is only one pool and one slide at the hotel, don't be fooled by the online pictures. The restaurant, well same, same and more of the same and only one hot plate bar for all the quests, waiters were too busy chatting to take drinks orders, clear tables. The outside food plate was better and be ready to fight for a table at night as there were 100 more children than the hotel could cope with when we were here. We found the entertainment pants and tacky ( my nine year olds view). The hill up to the hotel is horrendous and we couldn't go out for a walk as we have when visiting Marmaris as it is physically draining. My family and I are far from posh and we stayed in the Green Nature last year which I would now class as a four star and the Cettia is a two. I guess the great reviews are from people that haven't yet stayed in a truly great hotel or enjoy Butlins.

We have just got back from our Thomas Cook holiday at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it but it was obvious the hotel team were tiring after a long season, without apparently any days off.
The accomadation was good for the price you pay ( compared to that offered at other hotels in the area, after we spoke to other holidaymakers within the resort).
The additional extras ( spa, jewellers, barber shop) were worth visiting but it was obvious they tried to get to you first, before you got to the cheaper options in town.
The food was of a very high quality though it did become repetative. One thing to remember is you can get fried eggs etc outside for breakfast.
The all inclusive drinks is different to most hotels in that it ends at 11pm instead of midnight.
Due to how cold it got on a night we could only brave the outside entertainment a couple of nights but it was good ( apart from the cruelty of the snake show, we had our own pet snake at home and know the python should not be naturally that docile). A point maybe for the management is patio heaters cost next to nothing in the uk to run and so i am sure you could do something for spring and autumn.
Also going back to all inclusive, when you have sister hotel elsewhere on a resort i have always had it as standard that the all inclusive is reciprocal.
Special mention to Speedy who always had time to talk to us and good luck in the army and with your psycology...( still dont believe he is only 19).
And Chris the Thomas Cook rep is a credit to the profession. So many times in the past they are conspicuous by their abscence. Good luck in your pastures new.
Its a better than average possibility we will be back next year.
