I only just come back from the hotel today and it was a brilliant week. The minute we got to the hotel to the minute we left the staff were very helpful, cheerful, kind, fun and always smiling. This is definetley worth going for a break. The entertainment in the day is very good and also the night entertainment is good. There is a big variety of food and a very nice selection. If you are looking for a fun, happy and relaxing holiday then this is the place because the staff are always helpful and always working none-stop. They cant do enough for you, anything u ask for they will do it. The hotel is defineltly 4* and is very posh in and out.

We were there from 10 June to 24 June 2009.
Great welcome, smiling helpful staff, Ishmail the bellboy couldn't do enough, we later found out this young man has a university degree in Tourism, with his smile and attitude he'll be running a hotel in a few years time.
Slight problem with the room allocated, changed in a whisker to type we had booked.
We were in the annex, by all accounts this is by far the cooler of the two buildings and as a consequence we didn't "suffer" from the heat overnight as the others in the main building.
The staff were so helpful, reception, bar, pool, restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone contributed to make this possibly one of the best holidays we've had.
Food in the restaurant and pool areas was very good, there has to be something for even the fussiest of eaters. Drink...... we don't drink alcohol, but the soft drinks, juices and the water was readily available in copious amounts. There were some complaints from our alcoholic friends, sorry Trevor & Linda, about the strength of the lager, we sorted Linda out by ordering the spirits separately and regularly!
Particilar mention must be made for the entertainment team, especially Josie and Rosie, full of fun and included even us, the oldies, in the games and activities, a refreshing change. In the restaurant, our waiter Servet, was so helpful, he ran his allocated area so efficiently, drinks at the table were always arriving as if by magic, Dogan one of the senior waiters couldn't do enough for you, without asking he went to investigate the English equivalent of some salad ingredients we couldn't recognise, little things like this happened all of the time, makes you feel good.
Just a quick word about days out. Please don't book through Thomas Cook unless it's the last day trip to Dalyan, You have to book through the local travel agents. There's one just down the main road, first on the right. Always ask if there's an "all-inclusive" option. On our boat trip, it was coffee, tea, beer, juice and lunch all day (9.45-17.55) for an extra £2 each. Good quality lager, decent wine and branded colas and other soft drinks. They were still serving as we docked on our return, dolmus pickup and dropoff. excellent service.
Would we go again to Cettia hotel, YES. We don't often say this about anywhere unless it's a cruise ship!
Go enjoy yourself, try and avoid July and August if you can, not because of the kids, but because of the heat, 45-55 deg.
One last thing, after several complaints, the management introduced a "no sunbed reservation" policy before 07.30 a.m. it seemed to work.

I was a bit wary of going to turkey but i can honestly say i had nothing to worry about.
Marmaris was a nice place to go (apart from thr hassle you get from shopkeepers) the whole place was kept very clean, and what can i say about the people, they are honestly some of the most friendliest people i have ever come across, they couldnt do enough for you.

Club cettia hotel itself was immaculate, the place was spotless, rooms cleaned everyday, i sent the maids away some days as there really was no need for them, i felt bad that they just come in to tidy our mess sometimes.
The staff were great, wasnt a big fan of jerry on the entertainment team, he was more interested in playing up to the young girls/ladies that were in the hotel.
The food was lovely aswell, plently to choose from excellent variety unlike some hotels i have been to, i am in the process of getting booked up for next year, i will deffo be back next may. loved the place.

Oh and if u want to book a day trip dont book with thomas cook walk out the hotel down the hill past the 2 bars on the right hand side there is an excursions office ask to speak to david, this guy was a legend, excellent prices aswell, sorted me out with some very good deals. Ask david to show you the pic of the zebra on the jeep safari.

we go to marmaris twice a year an love it so much! we decided to give the cettia a try seems it had a kids club an slides! we were disapointed, the room was like a sweat box we ended up having to pay an extra £200 to upgrade to a bigger room. they say the basic room is for 4 but i would say no more than 2 adults and one child. the food was good for turkey, nice menu an food on the all inclusive all day fresh pizzas an burger so on. the alcohol, dont bother, to get drunk you would have to start drinkin it the previous day, it was awful. the lager was flat an the brandy was like water. the location is way to far out for us we like to be down the front this is wway back £3 in a taxi to the life.

Situated a 15 minute walk from the busy centre of Marmaris the Grand Cettia more than met our expectations. The staff were excellent and always looked after us well and couldn't do enough or us. The entertainment staff kept everyone amused and didn't "hassle" you to take part in anything. Our room had all that we required and the air conditioning worked great - not like some resorts! The hotel grounds were kept immaculate as well as all the public areas. Highlight of our stay was our "Turkish" experience in the Spa - sauna, Turkish Bath (i.e. wash, scrub, foam, mud), massage, foot spa, facial and foot massage - all at a VERY reasonable cost.. Food was excellent although after a week of All Inclusive we spent a number of nights eating out at some of the nearby excellent restaurants. Also nearby were companies where you could book trips for the Water Park (which is within walking distance of the hotel), paragliding, 4 x 4's etc., etc. The best bit was that my daughter got engaged whilst we were there, no worst bits

My boyfriend and I stayed here last year. We arrived at the hotel around 4am we were greeted with smiles and a quick check in which is great after a long flight and transfer. What we did notice was a girl with her towels going to save the sun loungers...what a ridiculous hour!

The room was lovely and spacious! The food was nice, quite repetitive after a few days. If you had chicken one evening you'd have chicken in cream sauce the next day and the same with turkey. There was always chips, rice and different types of potatoes as well. There was a lovely salad bar which I really enjoyed. Then outside there were different things cooked on the griddle. There was chicken and different varieties of fish. The best night was the Turkish night! There was lovely chicken and bread a bit like pitta bread but it had onions cooked inside it. This was all done infront you with the people in traditional dress. This was my favourite meal by far and I even went back for seconds!

On our first day we had a Turkish bath in the hotel. My boyfriend and I had it at the same time. We were given white robes, you sit in the sauna first and then you lie on a marble slab you have hot and cold water poured over you (not much cold water I must add) They then scrub you from head to toe and then leave bubbles all over you for a few minutes then they throw the water over you again. It is really lovely, you feel so clean afterwards. We had always intended to have one but there is a man who explains the whole process. He did try to sell us another package which sounded really good but we weren't really fussed about having it but it was really great value. The man did say about the Turkish bath that we wouldn't burn if we had a Turkish Bath and I have to admit I am very fair skinned and always burn and I didn't on this holiday. We had sunbathed for a couple of hours before the Turkish bath and I had a few patches of sunburn. When it was over the burn wasn't there so they did do a really good job of removing my dry skin. The girls were lovely but didn't speak a lot of English but did try and talk to us if we asked them questions. The whole process was nearly an hour. Apparently if you go to big Turkish baths then you sit there waiting to be seen and when you do, you are only seen for 10-15 minutes.

We went on two trips. One we booked through our Thomas Cook rep it only cost about £3. It was a trip to Ichmeler market but you go to a gold shop, a leather goods shop and a Turkish delight shop first. The gold shop was a bit of a shock you couldn't walk round without someone following you round. The other shops were fine though. The leather handbags were terrible fakes and expensive for what they were. The Turkish delight shop was good as you were told about it and you were able to sample a variety of other Turkish sweets. The market was good but very warm. Make sure that you haggle and check other stalls before buying as they sell a lot of similar items. We were told to only haggle at half price, never less than what they've suggested otherwise it is very rude.

The other trip we went on was the Dalyan trip. This one we bought through a little shop on the way into Marmaris don't get them from reps they charge too much. We went on the fastest boat which trust me you'll want to do too. The trip on the way back is long even on the fast boat so I dread to think what it is like on the others. On the trip you stop on the way to Turtle beach and you can go and swim in the sea which is lovely and refreshing. You have lunch on the boat which for us was chicken, salad and potatoes. Then you stop at Turtle Beach which is Sea Water on one side and fresh water on the other. Then you get on small river boats which travels down the same route that Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart did in the film 'The African Queen'. You see some rock graves then carry on to the mud baths which is really good but a bit smelly. You can go on this trip on your departure day before flying home. We would have done this but we had already paid for our transfers.

I would go back to Marmaris as I really enjoyed it and I would go back to this hotel again.
