Arrived back from this hotel 15 may 2012. On arrival we did have a problem. This was very quickly sorted by Nicola who made us very welcome and made our stay really enjoyable. Even up to the very last day she looked after us with rolls for our trip home. A massive thank you to an extremely helpful lady. No complaints with food, cleanliness and polite helpful staff.

We stayed for 11 nights in May 2012. On the whole the hotel was "Good".

Never had any problems with dodgy food or stomach problems.

A few things that annoyed me:

When you are in the bathroom, you can hear everything from the other bathrooms from the adjacent rooms and I mean "everything", it's almost like the ceiling isn't there.

There is no iron or ironing board in the room, nor do reception have one. I had to pay for my clothes to be ironed.

We flew with Thomas Cook, we're given no tour of the hotel nor were explained about things such as the restraunt or beach.

Following on from the above, we didnt know where the hotels beach was, we took an obvious guess at directly in front of the hotel but when we arrived at the beach we were greated by a man asking for 10TL. We paid the first day, then found out that this man was a con man.

The hotels manager (a lady) greeted everyone except our arrival.

You have to pay for the safe, it isn't included.

The beer is sered in half pint glasses.

When you ask for water you don't get it in a bottle (I asume this is to prevent you taking it of site) instead you get it in a glass or plastic beaker.

Apart from the above we were most impressed with the holiday and is Definately one of the better all inclusivs we have been on. The food was top notch, expect chicken fish and lamb most evenings.

went to this hotel on 28th april 2012 for 2 weeks, got there 4.30 am was in my room within 5 mins, good beds nice balcony, excellent bathroom , and secure, room was very clean and woke up next morning to a nice sea view
the reception was big and loads of seating areas leading to a amazeing indoor view of the floors, small shop downstairs where the spa was , went into the dineing room and on my first impression was very pleased with it very clean and tables well presented. got to the food area and was amazed well dressed staff and clean and smart dressed chefs serving fresh cooked food done in front of you.
there was a large selection of fresh cold meats and cheeses, loads of choices of cereals fresh bread selections and cold and hot drinks, the staff went out of there way to make sure you was comfortable and happy and this was just breakfast, main meals were even better with very large selection of hot food, . salads and about 50 different sweet delights to choose from there was so much to choose from i was spoiled for choice omg i put some lbs on the waist lol,

beer never run out and entertainment was light, this is why it is called the classic now adults only, a few kids were in at first but the other hotel was not complete at this time so no complaints with that.
2 lifts. loads of sun beds with plenty of sun and was nice to be able to get one easy. nikki the manager who was english run the hotel and went out of her way to help anyone.
laura from bulgaria also one of the most plesent english speaking guest relation officer i have met she even went out of her way to come sit with you, she started to learn me a bit of russian,

entertainment staff went round all day trying to please you with games, and nite entertainment from belly danceing to karaoke to juggling. darts table tennis and many more

taxi rank just outside so not far to go ,i loved this hotel and intend to book again this year thanx blue bays classic loved it

will add photos later

I will try and do a balanced review , firstly the negatives :

1. It is NOT an adult only hotel; there were kids there when we stayed for our week, even though we booked it through Thomas cook as an excusive adult only.

2. It is NOT a 5 star, no dressing gowns, no slippers, no pool towels, no beds made in special ways, no luxury . It is more a 3 star, people saying it is a good 5 star no offence but maybe they have not stayed in a 5 star before .

3 . bedroom, we had a sea view ( which we paid more for ) twin room . we were told on arrival there were no double beds for Thomas cook customers even though our end we had been told this would not be a problem and had put in a request for double .
Rooms and bathrooms are very basic , travel lodge in style but smaller !
TVs in rooms only have two English channels - BBC world news and euro news
you have to pay extra per day or week for sky TV .
The bedding is not changed daily ( when changed just basic bed making done ) But the towels are , also for anybody whose is a little fussy with bedding the top sheet is what I kept calling a thick rough white table cloth, we where told that this could be changed for a normal top sheet but it didn’t happen !

4. restaurant and food , basic all inclusive , nothing outstanding but nothing bad .

5. entertainment lacking , a couple of music quizzes , a belly dancer and a Michael Jackson impersonator then they wanted to take us to a club from 11 pm to 3am which was not our sort of entertainment but saying that the younger ones liked it !
us older ones made our own entertainment in the evenings .

Positives

1. Even though there were kids there they were well behaved !!

2. Nice relaxed 3 star hotel , if they advise as this I would have given it the thumbs up and recommend to all .

3. Bedroom , beds were comfortable and we slept well , our patio doors were brilliantly double glazed , once they were shut we couldn’t hear a thing , nice amount of hangers in wardrobe , air conditioned and clean .

4. restaurant staff and bar staff were brilliant . they made sure you were well looked after and always had a smile .

We had an amazing holiday and met some brilliant people , as one of them said a holiday is what you make it …. True words

Me and my friend stayed at Blue Bays 26/4 - 4/5. Definitely the best hotel I've ever stayed in Marmaris and I have been visiting for over 15 years. Staff were excellent! Especially Nicola (English) from guest relations who was great! From the animation team Nigel (Turkish) and Roxanne (English) were amazing enjoyed many nights out down to bar street with them. Free bus at 11pm which took us to bar street every night and returned at 3am. Food was excellent lots of variety, always hot and fresh. Must add always try the soups as they were delicious! Outstanding service overall by the staff. Daily visits from the maids and clean bedding and towels also a bottle of water each left in the fridge! No queues at any bars for drinks which is a plus as most all inclusives I've stayed at you usually have to queue and are given plastic cups! Efes beer is definitely the best drink available. Free towels to use around the pool on offer at the spa too. Looking forward to returning to this hotel soon! Thanks again to all the staff who made our visit so enjoyable. Many thanks!

First trip to Turkey and we could not, repeat could not have picked a better hotel. We arrived at 04:30 and bags were taken by a uniformed porter and check in took only 2 minutes. The staff could not be more helpful and polite, the lovely Laura from Bulgaria was always making sure we were being looked after and nothing was too much trouble. No queues at any of the bars and no queues at mealtimes. Now for the food - always fresh, always hot always a variety to choose from, freshly made omlettes for breakfast but always something for everyone. Room was at the front of hotel and was very clean quite and comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms were on the small side but adequate but the suitrs look nice
