“Lovely views, shame about the rest!!!!!!”
Reviewed 23 September 2009

Spent a week here with my hubby and sister, we were lucy enough to have rooms lower down which were quiet and away from the constant BOOM BOOM BOOM of the music played by the pool area, not a place to go if you want to relax!!!!!!!! Food wasawful and I cant even describe the tea, we thought the tea urn!!!!! was topped up with tea bags. Luckily we took our own kettle and tea and coffee supplies. Room basic but clean and no shortage of rough towels. We did book a couple of trips through the rep on the first day and got 10% off. The day on the gulet boat (max 35 adults) was excellent, relaxing, peaceful (no music at all), good service from the guide and crew, stopping in small bays to jump off boat and swim. Also booked an early departure which combined the trip to mud baths and turtle beach, this was theday before our flight as our transfer fromairport was horrendous and took hours.
Also booked jeep safari with the NO-NAME ticket shop, we weren't prepared for this at all as it is combined with massive water fights between the jeeps. Advisable to take as littleas possible and hire a water gun fromthe guide, it did turn out to be fun, as war was declared between the jeeps.
As the food at the hotel was so bad we ate out, but this became a chore as it is constant hassel from the guys who seem to have the job of getting you in to eat. We did find a couple of bars where you can just sit and have a drink without having a menu shoved under you nose, and without the big screen TV's which constantly had football on!!!!!!
We found most of the staff at the hotel friendly when we saw them, couldn't sit by the pool due to the constant music which was loud, thank god our room was away from it all.
It was a relief that we hadnt eaten there much as we saw a pair of shoes with dirty socks in sitting in the dining room table!!!!!!!!!!
All in all we enjoyed our visit toTurkey and we made the best of our time there which was away from the hotel. It's a shame as there is huge potential for this place. Definitely not 4star, 2star at the most.!!!!!!!!!
Highly recommend gulet cruise and take a travel kettle, if all else fails a decent cupof tea is needed.

Where to start, where to start....OK so the rooms themselves weren't that bad. There was a massive trek up what felt like 1001 steps (room was right at the top) so by the time you get there you're shattered and waaaay too hot. Not too bad as you can just sit off and have a rest if you fancied it.
Rooms were very basic which was fine, bedroom was clean. The bathroom however was not so clean. The toilet barely worked......worked after about the 6th flush. There was someone elses hair all over the shower walls, no lid on the bin, big nasty plug hole and very very dark. Lovely view from the balcony though.
The food was absolutely awful. First day we went for breakfast I didn't really like much there as it was all ham, cheese, salad etc. Thought I'd play it safe and have cereal......bit of a mistake. The cornflakes were like shredded cardboard. The next day I had a piece of bread and a tomato which was the last breakfast we had there.
Thought the lunch might have been better even if we just had the fries and salad each day but they were really hard and cold. Do you really want me to mention the tea?
Some of the staff were friendly, some were just plain ignorant.

I know this is nothing to do with the hotel but most of the locals we met there were awful. I completely understand that not everyone from Turkey is like this but I am so gobsmacked at how disgusting the people were.
We took the bus to Ichmeler to the market and I've never had so much abuse thrown at me before. We were called all names under the sun. We decided to go into Marmaris the same day and it was just as bad there.
Oh and got ripped off in one of take away food places. Charging too much but of course when you challenge them they can't understand your English! Not impressed!

It has put me off ever going back to Turkey again.

On the plus side we had a really good trip to Dalyan, mud bath and turtle beach with a fantastic tour guide.
We also had a fab trip over to Rhodes for the day. Was so nice to get away from being hasseled. Met so many lovely people there.

Anyway there is no way I'd recommend this place to anyone and possibly wouldn't even recommend Turkey after that experience!

First we were dropped at the wrong hotel, given twin room for 2 adults and child couldn't change it until the following day. The food was awful and we're not fussy eaters. Wasps all by the pool. Rooms flood in the rain and no hot water at night as it is solar powered. Reception are unhelpful to women only helpful to men! Seriously don't bother so many other nicer places you could go.

We got a good last minute deal and had read the reviews, so weren't expecting the Ritz. Overall, we got what we paid for, the accom was OK, the hotel generally was tired - like we were after we climbed the 124 steps to our room! But we expected that, and by the end we were a lot fitter then we were at the start of the holiday. The food was mostly very edible, quite tasty, and neither of us had an upset stomach. However, eating chicken (stewed, casseroled, BBQ'd) pretty much every lunch and dinner did wear very thin. I think the chef must have got '1001 Ways with Chicken' for his Xmas. There were always plenty of salads to choose from, altho we were a bit surprised by the sprout salad - no joking. A girl near us buttered some bread and gave it to her small son, who refused to eat it. When she smelt it she found it was rancid, and when she checked the little pot it came in she found it was out of date - by 4 YEARS!! The only other downsides were the unfriendly attitude of the staff, and the lack of ice, day after day, for our drinks. Overall, the place needs a good face-lift, because it's definitely not a 4 star, more like a 2 star.

o.k ive been reading reviews on this hotel for the last 3 months up until it was our turn to go there. We have just got back after two week stay. i am being totally upfront and honest about this review. So here we go. Arrived about 10pm after 3 and a half hour delay at manchester airport. read about the steps but really that didnt bother us. i counted 217 to our room from bottom by reception. its just if its hot you will get out of breath and start sweating profusley by the time you get to your room!! theres a lift but i dont see the point of it if you are right at the top of the apartments, may as well walk all the way up!! anyway a nice man called Ihan took my bags right up and when he seen our room number he even said oh no out loud !! so there you go thats the guy who works there. Just be prepared thats all. Beautiful, amazing views particulalry from the pool area. Lovely pool area. The whole hote has better potential .i would say outside furniture needs upgrading more so than anything, plenty of little places to sit around the pool area. Bar area absolutely stinks of either stale beer or something similar, drinks served in plastic cups, and i dont care what anyone says the BEER is watered down, and local spirit drinks are tiny measures. for those of you who have said you got drunk every night and the beer isnt watered down-then im sorry you must have been drinking constantly to get in that state. pool area got packed early but still superb views from pool.
Hotel rooms quite big and spotless, no t.v though!! again furniture needs upgrading although plenty of space for your clothes. Now the food. Mmmm what can i say ate their once. Im not a fussy eater and i have been all inclusive to turkey before but believe me there is only so much you can do to a chicken no wot i mean!!! the soups are nice and the bread is fresh, but to be honest i cant really comment much more as the first night what they were serving was pig trough food. we ate out every single day and night and spent our money on food. people have also said if you dont like turkish food then dont go to turkey. we dont come to turkey for their food we come to relax and enjoy the sun and the beautiful country. its just like saying dont go to portugal if you dont like portugese food, dont go to greece if you dont like greek food. we expect to at least have decent eggs, bacon and toast as you would in any country and ive been to many countries that will cater for british at all inclusive hotels. So all in all 3 star hotel at a push, Plus the staff are miserable and they really are. Now about the Turks and Turkey itself, again ive read a review off another site saying if your not nice to them then what do you expect. excuse me .... ive been going turkey for last six years and watched their hospitality deteriorate over the last 2 years. let me give example. boat trip marmaris this year and i hope the oters who were on that trip write a review about this to. boat fits 90 people on it.. they had booked at least 120 on it.. so do the math not everyone had sun bed. so people get annoyed. anyway seven more people got on boat who were together but had booked with different agents. they couldnt get sunbeds together so they wanted to get off and get a refund ....oh no the captain of the boat started asking people to move so he could squeeze them on but there was no room for them to move to. so these people jsut said look we came together and want to sit together.. the captain then said blatently you are not together cos you all booked seperately... so what they all knew each other and wanted to sit next to each other.. so we got involved then cos we were even annoyed at how that nasty man was talking to these people like they were low life.. so he then said to us well whats your probelm youve got a sunbed and if you dont like it you can get off... so we did and demanded our momney back along with the other seven. now for some reason all of a sudden he couldnt give us our money back that we had just paid him.. and marched us to the agent we booked with on the front of the beach. oh and i forgot he called the other people liars and they werent together and even called the woman a liar all over the boat ... even after she protested they were together he wasnt interested. the agent we booked with said as far as he is concerned customer is always right and now as it was end of season they arent interested in being nice cos they had made money. he said if you had come in May he would have been Licking your backside as it was start of season and they are begging for customers. another example in the market in marmaris (indoor one by statue) we saw a guy come out of a shop and the shop assistant follow him out sayin 'you dont talk you dont talk '
and spat at him - nice people hey. i can go on but i wont. i understand people whose first time it is here.. they dont know any different and mistakenly believe they are genuine nice people its only cos they want your money and if you dont spend in their shop or go in their restaurant they can get sarcastic and nasty... and there is only so many times you can say no thank you as the hassle you get becomes boring! Dont get me wrong there are some geniuine turkish people who we have met over the years really hospitable decent hard working people (beleive me i count them on one hand though). but the waiters and shop workers who come in from the main cities like izmir, istanbul etc to work for six months are phonies. Like i say i have been to many countries over the last ten years and they have even poorer people- but the hotel staff are amazingly hospitable because that is their genuine nature - if it wasnt for us tourists the country would still be in ruin. Anyway its just a pity as it is a beautiful country and they have spoilt themselves by now trying to rip people off(adding extras onto food bills is a common one) it happended 3 times to us this time so check your bill before paying. wont be returning and i hope all the lager louts take over and then they will have reason to hate us british.
